1.) In the parking lot, James Gang arrived with BG holding a briefcase. Scott Steiner also arrived to the building with a briefcase. Petey Williams also has a briefcase. Senshi has a briefcase, as well. We saw all four men arriving to the arena. One of them may be fired tonight.

2.) Rellik and Reign quickly go after LAX to start the match. Homicide avoids an elbow drop by Rellik and delivers a boot in the corner followed by a bulldog for a two count. Hernandez sends Reign into the ring post shoulder first. Rellik is met with a double clothesline, but doesn’t go down. Hernandez splashes Rellik in the corner and Homicide follows with a clothesline. Reign rams Homicide groin first into the ring post from the floor. Rellik stomps on Homicide to keep control of the contest. Homicide ducks a clothesline and hits Reign with a crossbody.

Hernandez and Rellik are tagged in with Hernandez clotheslining Rellik followed by a shoulder block. Hernandez knocks Reign down and slams Rellik to the mat. Reign sends Hernandez to the floor, but Homicide plants Rellik with a cutter for a two count. Rellik misses a spear and hits the post. Homicide rolls Rellik up and wins the match. (*1/2. LAX are a fun team to watch, but Rellik and Reign didn’t seem to mesh well with them at all. Hopefully LAX can get back in the tag title scene sooner rather than later.) After the match, Jimmy Rave & Lance Hoyt enter the ring and attack LAX. Hoyt nails Hernandez with a big boot as Christy Hemme roots on her men. However, a masked woman attacks Hemme from behind with a slapjack. Homicide saves the woman, but is decked by Hoyt. Hernandez gets the slapjack, but Hoyt escapes to the floor.

3.) Backstage, Jeremy Brash is with Jim Cornette and Matt Morgan. We’ll be finding out who got the briefcase that will cost them their job tonight. Morgan says the briefcases are being watched by Crystal, but Cornette is pissed. Morgan knows he made a mistake and leaves to fix his mistake.

4.) Team 3D and Johnny Devine enter the room where Brother Ray says that Cornette lacks balls. Ray says the X-Division has no balls either. Ray gives the X-Division Championship back, but wants them to become men. Jay Lethal, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin enter the office. Lethal wants the belt hung up for a ladder match tonight. Ray calls Lethal a wannabe. Ray says they are the kings if there is a ladder, chair or table. Brother Devon takes the X-Division Championship back.

5.) TNA World Champion Kurt Angle makes his way down to the ring to cut a promo along with TNA Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Tomko and Karen Angle as the show goes to commercial. Angle focuses on Christian Cage and knows that Cage is listening backstage. Angle says that at Turning Point he made a mistake. Angle notes they lost their matches because they were divided and conquered. Angle admits they need each other. Angle says they are three of the most dominating forces in wrestling. Angle wants Cage and Robert Roode to team up with them and they’d never be stopped. Angle doesn’t want them to make another mistake and wants to avenge their losses. Angle is giving Cage an hour to meet with him face to face and make things right.

6.) Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Christian Cage. Cage asks if Kurt Angle made a plea or was he begging. Robert Roode tells Cage that Kurt is right and they’d become a powerhouse in TNA. Cage asks when Roode was allowed to speak up and Roode is to speak when spoken to. Cage blames Roode for Turning Point and asks how many World Titles Roode has ever won and tells Roode to watch it. Roode says that he’s not AJ Styles, and Cage agrees saying AJ is smarter. Roode walks off. Cage says he’ll be there to meet with Angle.

7.) ODB attacks Kim before the bell and forearms Kim in the corner. ODB plants Kim with a scoop slam for a two count. Kim fights back with a strike, but ODB connects with a knee lift and sends Kim into the corner. Kim is stopped again with a knee lift after a few forearm strikes. ODB catches Kim on a crossbody hitting a fallaway slam. ODB kips up and plays to the crowd. Kim almost wins with an inside cradle, but ODB decks Kim with a clothesline for a near fall. ODB elbows Kim in the corner and sits on top turnbuckle to ram Kim face first into the corner a few times. Kim tries for a top rope hurricanrana, but ODB held onto the ropes. ODB leaps off the top, but Kim hits a spear in midair. Kim ducks a clothesline and drops ODB with elbow strikes. Kim continues with a dropkick and a middle rope crossbody for a two count. ODB knee lifts Kim, but Kim plants ODB with a wheelbarrow bulldog for a near fall. Kim has ODB on her shoulders, but ODB yanks Kim down to the mat by her hair. Kim rams ODB into the corner and continues with elbow strikes in the corner. ODB grabs her flask as the referee tries to keep Kim away and nails Kim with the flask. ODB covers and pins Kim. (**1/2. I should have figured that ODB would win this since it was a non-title match, but I was not expecting her to prevail. I’d imagine this will lead to another match between the two with the title on the line. This could be a way to drag out another match between Kim and Kong.) After the match, Awesome Kong’s music hits and comes out to the ring. ODB leaves the ring as Kong grabs Kim. Kim punches out of a power bomb with a flurry of strikes. Security runs into the ring and keeps the knockouts apart. Angelina Love and Velvet Sky come out and pull Kim to the floor to end the segment.

8.) Backstage, Crystal is with Matt Morgan and the four briefcases from the Feast or Fired match from Turning Point. Triple X enter the scene with Daniels telling Senshi that his plan got them back together and to listen to his gospel. Daniels says he’s the general and Senshi is the solider, thus Senshi needs to give him the briefcase. Senshi suggests that Daniels take it from him. Morgan chimes in and makes a singles match between the two for tonight where the winner wins the briefcase. Morgan agrees to make Eli Skipper the special referee. Crystal asks if Morgan can do this and Morgan says he has the best interest for TNA and this is what Cornette wants him to do.

9.) Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Tomko. Tomko has known Christian for a long time and knows that Christian is going to do whatever he wants. Tomko thinks he’s going to start to do what he wants to do. Borash doesn’t know what that means as Tomko walks off.

10.) Hermie Sadler is on commentary for the Senshi vs. Daniels match.

11.) Daniels gains control on Senshi with a wrist lock to start the match. Senshi counters with a wrist lock, but Daniels trips Senshi and does a handspring, but is trapped in a wrist lock again. Daniels kicks Senshi away, but Senshi responds with a few kicks to the chest and then the head to knock Daniels down to the mat. Senshi chokes Daniels in the corner and Skipper pulls Senshi off. Daniels misses a strike on the apron, but drops Senshi over the top rope throat first. Daniels decks Senshi with a forearm strike and chokes Senshi on the mat. We see a limo arrive and it’s Eric Young driving. In the limo, it’s Booker T, Sharmell, Kevin Nash, Katz and Samoa Joe. The show goes to commercial.

Daniels runs into a back elbow and Senshi connects with a few running elbow strikes followed by a somersault kick and a springboard kick for a two count. Daniels stops Senshi with a jawbreaker, but misses a running knee in the corner. Senshi hits a running dropkick and goes to the top missing a double stomp. Senshi almost hits Skipper in the corner due to Daniels pulling Skipper into the way. Daniels eye rakes Senshi and hits the Angels Wings to win the match. Skipper didn’t want to count the fall, but did. (*1/2. The goal wasn’t to have a great match, but continue a story here. This seems like the sort of thing where TNA is going to fire Daniels for the irony that he wanted the briefcase because swerves in wrestling are a major money maker when they are done to death, right?)

12.) Backstage, Crystal is with the James Gang, Roxxi and Matt Morgan. BG asks that if his briefcase has the tag title shot option he can pick his partners which Morgan confirms. BG tells Kip that he’s wondering if Kip should be his partner anymore. Kip is pissed about this. Roxxi tells BG that the briefcase is cursed. BG doesn’t listen and thinks his current company is cursed.

13.) Earlier today, Mike Tenay had a sit down interview with Father James Mitchell. Mitchell is talking about Abyss (Chris) and how he had an amazing father teaching him about life and gave him all the tools. However, the issue was his mother. Mitchell has done research and has a lot of information on Abyss and his background. That ends the segment.

14.) Backstage, Crystal is with Matt Morgan and Petey Williams. Petey is calling himself “Maple Leaf Muscle”, which Crystal asks about. Petey says that he was off having great success in bodybuilding while Crystal was crushing on Kurt Angle. Petey claims to have won a competition in Canada over the weekend. Petey does an Arnold impression and says he wants a shot at the TNA World Championship. Petey walks off with his briefcase.

15.) TNA World Champion Kurt Angle, TNA Tag Team Champion AJ Styles & Tomko and Karen Angle are in the ring waiting for Christian Cage. Kurt wants to know if Christian is with or against them. Christian Cage, Robert Roode and Traci make their way down to the ring to confront the Angle Alliance. Roode would like to accept Kurt’s offer to unite as one. Roode shakes hands with the Angle Alliance. Christian says Bobby and him are different. Christian doesn’t need the Angle Alliance, unlike Roode. Christian says that Kurt wants to all of a sudden be his friend. Christian says you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Christian knows that Kurt is a conveying son of a bitch. Christian knows that Kurt knows that Cage wouldn’t be a threat if they were together. Christian believes he’s the real TNA World Champion. Cage turns his attention to Tomko and says Tomko makes him sick to his stomach. Christian reminds Tomko that he was working a poor security job when he found him and made Tomko a ton of money. Cage thinks his family should thank him for the money. Cage thinks Tomko will be nothing without him. Cage turns his attention to AJ Styles and says he saw the most potential in Styles, more than anyone else he ever saw. Cage says that AJ lacked the ability to talk outside of the ring, and takes credit for making AJ a star. Cage tells Styles that if he was his blood father he would disown AJ. Cage believed they need him in order for them to be somebody. Cage tells Karen to stand behind Kurt, which is what she does best. Cage agrees to be part of the team under one condition and wants to be the leader. Cage demands they do what he says. Cage gets in Kurt’s face and says that applies to him, too. Cage asks if Kurt is ready to admit that he’s nowhere near the man that Cage is. Cage offers his hand and Kurt accepts the handshake. Cage shakes Roode’s hand and does the same for Took and shakes his head at Styles. Styles hugs Cage instead of a handshake.

Samoa Joe’s music hits and Joe appears at the top of the ramp with Booker T, Sharmell, Kevin Nash, Kazarian, and Eric Young. Joe thinks they are a dysfunctional family and offers a ten-man tag match at Final Resolution. Karen suggests they do the match tonight. Karen calls Sharmell a tramp and wants to start it with her. Sharmell chimes in and reminds Karen of the past issues of Kurt wanting to touch her, which Kurt denies. Sharmell is ready to whoop Karen’s ass and they have a catfight on the aisle until Kurt and Booker break things up quickly.

16.) Backstage, Crystal is with Team 3D and Johnny Devine. Devon has the X-Division Championship. Ray tells Crystal to shut up about Jay Lethal. Ray suggests that Devon should eat her up since she’s his type. Ray believes that Cornette would have spoon fed Lethal the X-Division Championship. Ray admits they stole the championship and wants Lethal to come take the belt back. Ray say that Lethal, Shelley and Sabin are still boys and haven’t grown into men. Ray is confident that they will kick their asses and steal the championship again. Ray says they take what they want when they want and plants a kiss on Crystal.

17.) Backstage, Crystal is with Scott Steiner and Matt Morgan. Steiner has the final briefcase and believes the TNA World Championship is in the briefcase. Steiner believes he will skyrocket back to the top and TNA is going to break records. Morgan doesn’t see a problem with the briefcases being gone. Morgan thinks the briefcases being with the winners is the safest thing he could have done.

18.) Lethal, Shelley and Sabin run into the ring and take out Team 3D and Devine. Lethal clotheslines Devine to the floor and hits a crossbody. Sabin kicks Devon to the floor as Shelley knocks Ray to the floor, as well. Sabin and Shelley hit stereo suicide dives to the floor onto Team 3D. Lethal sends Devine into the guard railing. Devon tosses Sabin into the railing. Lethal slides a ladder into the ring and begins to climb to the championship. Devine decks Lethal with a right hand and stomps Lethal several times on the mat. Devine begins to climb the ladder, but Sabin stops Devine. Sabin tries to climb, but Devine stops Sabin. Sabin takes Devine down with a reverse hurricanrana. Sabin climbs the ladder, but Devon hits an electric chair slam. Devon climbs the ladder, but Shelley stops Devon and hits a powerbomb as the show goes to commercial.

Ray climbs the ladder, but Lethal stops Ray with right hands at the top of the ladder. Ray hooks Lethal for a suplex and hits a suplex off the top of the ladder crashing to the mat. Devine begins to climb the ladder, but Shelley stops Devine. Shelley nails Devine with a jawbreaker off the ladder. Devon plants Shelley with a lifting reverse DDT. Devon climbs the ladder, but Sabin clotheslines Devon off the ladder. Shelley and Sabin miss dives to the floor crashing to the concrete. Lethal and Devine are fighting over the championship. Lethal gets the championship, but Ray whacks Lethal with a kendo stick and tosses the belt to Devine. The referee sees it and awards the match to Devine and Team 3D. (**1/2. The whole stipulation to the match is kind of a bizarre one. The heels won the match and are allowed to continue to have stolen possession of a championship that doesn’t belong to them. Lethal is still the champion, and didn’t lose anything. It’s a fine ladder match, but it ultimately didn’t serve much of a purpose and the stipulation probably didn’t need to happen.)

19.) Back to the sit-down interview with Mike Tenay with Father James Mitchell. Mitchell talks about Abyss watching his mother shoot his father three times in the back. Tenay asks if Abyss explaining the situation would make Mitchell happy. Mitchell is tired of being the bad guy. Mitchell wants Abyss to tell the world the secret they only know. Mitchell is going to call Abyss down to the ring next week for Abyss to reveal his secret once and for all.

20.) Backstage, Crystal is with Jim Cornette and Matt Morgan. Cornette hasn’t been watching the show due to meetings. Cornette asks where the briefcases are and Morgan promises that Cornette will love it. Morgan gave them to the guys who won them. Cornette is livid with Morgan. Cornette didn’t want them to potentially open the briefcases. Morgan can’t believe he screwed up. Cornette promises if he goes then Morgan goes, too. Cornette demands Morgan find the briefcases and keep possession of them. Cornette thinks Morgan will be the death of him.

21.) Styles and Kaz kickoff the main event with Kaz getting a head scissors on Styles, but doesn’t get a submission. Styles gets a two count with a rollup. Kaz also gets a two count with a crucifix. Styles responds with a rollup for a two count, but gets kicked away and they have a standoff. Kaz hits a tilt a whirl backbreaker and a swinging neck breaker for a two count. Styles stops Kaz with a jawbreaker. Angle tags in and works over Kaz with right hands in the corner before locking in a front face lock. Kaz punches Angle to break free. Kaz nails Angle with a spinning heel kick and tags in Booker. Booker hammers away on Angle followed by chops and strikes against the ropes. Angle uppercuts Booker followed by a right hand. Booker nails Angle with a superkick for a two count. Angle rams Booker into the corner and tags in Roode. Roode pummels Booker with right hands and stomps in the corner.

Booker plants Roode with a spinebuster and tags in Young, but Roode regains control with strikes. Young mounts Roode with right hands after a Thez Press. Roode tags in Cage and Cage kicks Young in the ribs to gain control. Cage slaps Young a few times, but Young drop toe holds Cage and walks on Cage’s back after slapping his head. Young flips to the apron and slides into the ring to clothesline Cage over the top to the floor. Nash clotheslines Tomko over the top to the floor. Young takes Cage and Tomko out with a crossbody. Kaz takes Roode, Tomko and Cage out with a dive. Nash fakes out a dive and makes a face like “don’t be serious” as the show goes to commercial.

Cage elbows Young in the corner and sends Young into the ring post shoulder first. Cage yanks on the left arm of Young several times. Cage stomps on Young’s arm before tagging in Styles. Styles crotches Young on the top rope and tries for a back suplex, but Young lands on top of Styles. Joe tags in and trades strikes with Tomko. Tomko nails Joe with a snap power slam, but Joe responds with one of his own. Styles breaks the cover with a moonsault. Kaz nails Styles with a slingshot DDT from the apron. Tomko and Joe collide in the middle of the ring.

Nash tags in and cleans house with right hands to the heels. Nash big boots Roode and does the same to Cage and Angle. Nash plants Roode with a side slam, but Cage breaks the cover. Booker goes after Cage and Booker with right hands. Booker gets out of the Olympic Slam, but Tomko pulls down the ropes causing Booker to crash to the floor. Joe takes out Tomko and Cage on the floor. Nash boots Roode, but Cage pulls the referee out of the ring. Roode low blows Nash as Nash grabbed Cage on the apron. Cage gives Roode a chair, but Young dropkicks Cage from behind and Cage hits Roode with the chair on accident. Nash plants Rode with the Jackknife powerbomb for the win. (***. Clearly setting up the eventual Cage full fledged face turn to feud with Roode or Angle in the coming months. This was a good main event with everyone getting some shine and Nash looking motivated in there.)

22.) Christian Cage and Robert Roode are arguing in the middle of the ring. Angle breaks them apart, but Cage tells Angle this is between him and Roode. Angle doesn’t want to get involved. Cage and Roode continue to shove each other. Angle decks Cage with the TNA World Championship from behind. Styles tries to stop Angle and Roode from beating up Cage. However, they don’t stop. Tomko leaves the ring and seems conflicted. Roode pummels Cage with strikes as Styles continues to try and save Cage. Angle puts the ankle lock on Cage as Styles tries to break the hold to end the show.

23.) Next week, we find out the results of the Feast or Fired briefcases.

Final Thoughts:
I can get behind a Christian Cage face turn as I think he’s been incredibly entertaining as a heel that his persona was still likable. Besides, this allows Cage to feud with Angle, Tomko and Styles at some point. It freshens him up after a near two year heel run. Anyway, the show was solid tonight with the main event angle carrying the show. Feast or Fired segments were fine, but I’m looking to get past that angle.
