Even after four decades of WrestleMania, it’s proven that wrestling is still going strong. Lincoln Financial Field, the site where WrestleMania 40 was held, has the field capacity of 67,594 for football games, and WWE announced that the total for two nights was 145,298 fans attending the event.
WrestleMania 40 quickly became the highest-grossing and successful event in the company’s history in April 2024 and now there’s a lot of hype for what’s going to happen next. Soon after the event, WWE announced that WrestleMania 41 would be held in the Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20, 2025 in Las Vegas.
Besides the two-night WrestleMania event, WWE also plans to bring SmackDown, RAW, and WWE Hall of Fame to Las Vegas.
So, let’s talk about some of our predictions for the next WrestleMania event.
What Might Be Coming in WrestleMania 41 Next Year
CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes as the Saturday Main Event
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as the Sunday Main Event
Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, or Carmelo Hayes Will Win Singles Gold
CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes as the Saturday Main Event
CM Punk was eliminated by Cody Rhodes for a win at the Royal Rumble for another year. Punk was also in the ring to celebrate a victory over Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.
Punk has never headlined a WrestleMania event during his celebrated career which is surprising for many, and he was hoping to do so, after his return to WWE after 10 long years. The only problem was that he suffered from a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble and had to be on commentary instead, during the opening Sunday match.
Drew McIntyre was attacked by Punk after his win over Seth Rollins, which allowed Damian Priest to cash his briefcase in Money in the Bank.
After his full recovery, he’s bound to get into a feud with Rollins and McIntyre.
By the time the next Road to WrestleMania rolls around, Punk should have made his full recovery and will probably get the main WrestleMania event she deserves. There is no opponent better than Cody Rhodes, for him to fight for the WWE top prize.
The foundation is set after their face-off on RAW, which led to their Royal Rumble battle, which was won by Rhodes.
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as the Sunday Main Event
Reigns may not be the Undisputed Universal Champion anymore, but he’s still the leader of the Samoan Dynasty.
The only problem is that his status as the Tribal chief was called out by The Rock on January 1st, 2024 when he made his return to WWE.
He beat Jinder Mahal and asked the audience if he should be sitting at the Head of the Table. The only problem is that Roman Reigns is currently holding that title. The challenge to the throne can come in the form of Monday Night on RAW.
The Rock was accidentally speared by Roman Reigns on Saturday WrestleMania in the main tag team match event against Seth Rollings and Cody Rhodes. Reigns and Rock won when Rock pinned Rhodes on Saturday. However, Reigns wasn’t able to do the same against Rhodes on Sunday.
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns was planned as the main event for WrestleMania 40 before it had to be shifted due to the sheer support for Rhodes.
But, there’s no reason that the blockbuster match won’t happen again in the future. And the best place for that to happen just might be WrestleMania.
Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, or Carmelo Hayes Will Win Singles Gold
NXT’s next big trio was supposed to be Breakker, Hayes, and Ilja Dragunov. Two out of the last three champions on NXT had their debut on SmackDown and RAW and should be on the full roster in the next months.
Once Dragunov is settled as being a dominant champion in NXT, Williams asserts himself as being one of the best new faces on Tuesday nights. Dragunov could be the next in line for another violent show-off with Gunther in the future.
All three need to be factored in when talking about WWE’s plans for the next year, each with different levels of stardom. Breakker is a physical marvel who can move the ring when he hits the ropes, Williams has a charismatic presence when he’s in the ring and Hayes has already established himself as having a significant role
While there’s no sure way to say what’s going to happen, these are just a few guesses, based on what’s happening in the world of WWE.
