I’m surprised this match when on early in the show, but apparently CIMA and Hulk are working a second time later on the show with an open challenge. I feel like the PWU crowd didn’t know how to react to the match for some reason.)

Gory blocks a snapmare driver and hits a cradle tombstone piledriver for the win. (***. These guys are regulars for IWC and they impressed here. Gory is a fun talent and Xion showed his charisma. Xion is playing a male model kind of gimmick and naturally the ECW Arena crowd decided to show their homophobia in 2006. Anyway, I enjoyed this quite a bit.) After the match, Xion attacks Gory and leaves Gory laying.

Gemini hits a middle rope fallaway slam sending Acid onto a chair back first. Hunter is speared by Kwame and that gets a three count. (1/2*. This match went thirteen minutes and I can safely say this could have gone six minutes and that would have been double the length it should have gone.)

(1/2*. I’m not sure what the hell the point of this was, really. Berk thinking he’s a WWE superstar was funny, though.)
Corporal Robinson revealed that he had Mickie Knuckles, Ian Rotten’s student, in his corner for the next match. However, Amy Lee came back out and whacked Knuckles with a chair shot to take her out.
Sixth Contest: Corporal Robinson vs. Ian Rotten for the vacant PWU Hardcore Championship: What if I told you this match was mostly just nonsense death match wrestling? Well, that’s what it is. Rotten wrapped Robinson in barbed wire and hit a senton splash to win the match in ten minutes. If you like this kind of stuff, well, you’d enjoy it I guess.

Yabushita uppercuts Sakai and locks in another arm bar forcing a submission to win the match. (**. The match seemingly came to an abrupt end as it’s suggested that Sakai may have been hurt legit during the move. I think she just sold the move well to make fans think that way. I wish this got more time instead of the previous match or the long tag match earlier in the show, too.)
Before the next match, Gary Wolfe cuts a promo on Kid Kash & Jamie Noble saying Wolfe is a real Pitbull. Wolfe comes across rather pissed off about it.

At no point did it feel as if Scorpio was taking Moore as a serious threat to the title. Moore felt like a major underdog, and that’s fine, but it prevented the match from feeling as if it was a big time contest. Commentary attempted to make it feel that way, but it didn’t connect in that manner with me at all. Acid’s involvement’s shouldn’t be a surprise since he’s a main event guy for PWU and it could lead to this becoming a three way feud for the title.) After the match, Moore and Scorpio knock Acid to the floor.

It might as well have been for the titles if SAT were going to win anyway. They did some big spots and maintained my interest the whole time. I expected this to go 20+ minutes and they went just over 14. A good way to end the show action wise.)
Final Thoughts:
I’d consider this a good show with several solid matches. The middle of the show as a bit a downer, but the major matches delivered quality action. I wish the crowd was a bit more receptive, but I think they preferred the death match style of wrestling that was on the show, too. I’ll give this a mild thumbs up overall.
Thanks for reading.
