Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) A video package highlighting what happened at Full Gear is shown to kickoff the show. The major development coming out of the PPV is that MJF turned on his best friend, Cody to allow Chris Jericho to retain the AEW World Championship by throwing in the towel. After the match, MJF kicked Cody in the groin.

2.) A video package highlighting the Mox/Omega match is shown on it’s own and Omega’s health is a focus showing various injuries suffered during the match with Mox. They show stills from Full Gear. The doctor notes that Mox was cleared, but beat up a bit. That seems to bother Omega a little bit as Omega has not been cleared.

3.) Nakazawa throws his baby oil away and forearms Mox several times followed by chops. Mox nails Nakazawa with a clothesline. Mox forearms and clotheslines Nakazawa in the corner. Nakazawa boots Mox in the corner, but Mox quickly hits a double arm DDT to pickup the quick win. (DUD. I mean, it’s not anything of note other than Mox beating Omega’s friend in short order. Mox is a force no doubt about it.)

4.) Jon Moxley grabs a microphone to cut a promo asking if that match counts. Mox says he’s a lot of things and says he’s not a liar. Mox told everyone exactly what was going to happen at Full Gear. Mox believes that Kenny Omega will never be the same again. Mox does respect Omega because Omega had the balls to do something that nobody else will have the balls to do. Mox doesn’t think anyone will have the balls to step in the ring with him. Mox is going to scorch AEW until he’s the last man standing. Mox says if anyone wants to test themselves and confront the only man who presents real danger to let him know. Mox suggests they kiss their loved ones behind before stepping in the ring with him. Mox demands that nobody ask him for apologies when it’s all over with.

5.) Uno and Stunt kickoff the tag match with Stunt hammering away on Uno followed by a kick to the knee. Stunt arm drags Uno and Boy tags in to get a crucifix on Grayson for a moment. Stunt hits a dragonrana, but Uno sends Boy into the cover to break the pin attempt. Dark Order is dumped to the floor and Boy hits a stereo suicide dive, but it’s blocked and met with a double kick. Grayson hits the Night Fall backbreaker on Stunt. Grayson goes to the top as Uno has a Gory Special and Grayson hit a blockbuster to pickup the win. (***. An enjoyable tag match and a good clean win for the Dark Order. Stunt worked well as a babyface in peril. Stunt and Jungle Boy are a good underdog team and probably going to be used as a team to put over the other bigger teams for a while.)

6.) Evil Uno grabs a microphone to cut a promo. Uno tells the fans to cheer for Stunt who is ridiculed for his small size. Uno can give Stunt a purpose and offers Stunt to join the Dark Order. Stunt is leaning towards the mask, but Jungle Boy prevents Stunt from joining. Uno respects that, but Grayson and the creepers attack both Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt. Evil Uno puts the mask on Jungle Boy, but Luchasaurus makes his way out to make the save. Luchasauras takes out all the creepers. Luchasauras plants Grayson with a chokeslam and a standing moonsault. Luchasauras embraces with Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt to end the segment.

7.) Peter Avalon and Leva Bates come out shushing the crowd to play up the librarian gimmick. Avalon talks about the music history in Nashville. That abruptly ends.

Allin elbows Avalon in the corner and gets a two count on a rollup. Allin hits a stunner and goes to the top hitting the Coffin Drop for the win. (1/2*. Nothing really to this match other than to give Allin a TV win and maybe continue the Spears/Janela feud.)

9.) Darby Allin grabs a microphone for a promo. Allin calls out Jon Moxley, which gets a pop from the crowd. Allin accepts Mox’s challenge from earlier in the night.

10.) Dani forearms Rose in the corner a few times, but is met with an elbow. Rose misses a big boot and Dani fights back with strikes until a boot stops her momentum. Rose tries for a chokeslam, but Dani breaks free with a strike. Rose clotheslines Dani and sends Dani hard into the corner. Rose splashes Dani into the corner and delivers a Samoan Drop. Rose grabs Dani to hit a sit down powerbomb for the win. (1/2*. Simple squash for Nyla Rose.)

11.) Dustin Rhodes is expected to be out three to four weeks due to the recent attack of his arm being slammed in a car door two weeks ago.

12.) Next week, Dynamite Dozen battle royal where the final two compete for a diamond ring.

13.) Tony Schiavone is with Allie for an interview, who is ranked #4 in the AEW rankings. Allie is happy to be there in AEW. Allie wants to prove herself on Dynamite just as she’s done on AEW Dark. The lights go out during the interview and Awesome Kong appears with Brandi standing behind her. Allie goes right after Kong with forearms, but Kong delivers a chop and a spinning back fist. Kong tosses Allie onto the aisle. Brandi holds Allie as Kong cuts Allie’s hair to add to Kong’s collection.

Jericho lists the men he’s beaten in AEW thus far. Jericho said he was going to prove that Cody wasn’t as good as he thought and was instead an entitled little bitch.

MJF believes the fans have been cheering for the real bad guy in Cody. MJF tells the fans that Cody doesn’t care about the fans and only cares for himself. MJF is the only man to know the real Cody and claims that Cody is a liar, user and abuser. MJF thinks that Cody saw MJF as a puppet he could use. Cody offered to be MJF’s “mentor”. MJF knows that it’s bullshit that Cody ever cared about him. MJF knows that Cody wanted to keep him under his thumb, but MJF says Cody’s thumb isn’t big enough to keep him down. MJF considers himself the new face of AEW. MJF does his catchphrase, I’m better than you, and you know it.

MJF turns his attention to Jericho. MJF tells the fans that Cody isn’t at the arena. MJF tells Jericho that he’s a big fan and would put Jericho in his third or fourth installment of his Mount Rushmore. MJF has heard that Jericho wants MJF to join the Inner Circle. Jericho claims to have heard that MJF wanted to join the Inner Circle. They begin to argue over which is true. MJF knows Jericho would want him to join their Inner Circle Jerk, but MJF backs off on that statement. MJF thinks Jericho enjoys drinking a little bit too much to think that MJF would need Jericho. Jericho suggests that MJF wants to be a little bit like Jericho. Jericho lists that they are similar. Jericho thinks that MJF’s parents got horny while Jericho was beating up Juventud Guerrea on WCW Saturday Night and nine months later MJF was born. Jericho they go back to arguing over the Inner Circle as neither man wants to admit they want to join, or they want them to join. They agree that Cody Rhodes is the biggest jackass and they embrace.

Cody Rhodes slowly makes his way out and has a scar on his his forehead. QT Marshall and a producer try to stop Cody, but Cody storms the ring. Cody messes up a powerslam on Jeircho and strikes MJF. Young Bucks superkick security and the brawl continues. Ortoz holds Nick’s leg on the ramp to allow Santana to hit Nick on the leg with a blackjack several times. This is the first time Jericho has been pinned in his AEW career. (**1/2. A basic tag match, but decent enough for what it is. Scorpio Sky being the first guy to pin Jericho in AEW certainly is unexpected and an example of AEW attempting to potentially make a new guy be important. SCU doesn’t seem to be over with the crowd and their reign as tag champions might be a lackluster run. SCU worked well as a heel trio and seems to be disappointing as a face act.)

Final Thoughts:
Another good episode of Dynamite as they have a clear direction for the top feuds. Wardlow’s introduction as MJF’s muscle was done well. I’m looking forward to Darby vs. Mox next week.
