Opening Contest: Cherry Bomb vs. Portia Perez in a first round match: They lockup to start the bout with Bomb gaining the upper hand. Bomb shoulder blocks Perez and runs the ropes looking for a rollup, but Perez holds the ropes. Perez attempts for a boot, but Bomb avoids it. Perez wants to do a test of strength, but fakes Bomb out a couple of times. Perez gets in Bomb’s face. Bomb kicks Perez several times to the mat. Perez avoids a superkick by bailing to the floor. Perez drops Bomb arm first over the top rope, but Bomb fights back with overhand chops. Perez drives Bomb to the mat with an arm breaker and keeps control with a wrist lock. Perez stomps on Bomb’s elbow to keep control. Perez strikes Bomb over the arm several times and keeps control on the mat. Perez stomps Bomb on the mat and taunts the crowd. Bomb fights back with a few body strikes, but Perez strikes Bomb over the back. Perez knee drops Bomb and wrenches Bomb’s arm over the top rope. Perez arm drags Bomb and keeps control on the mat by slamming Bomb’s arm on the mat for a two count. Perez keeps control with a top wrist lock on the mat. Bomb elbows free and forearms Perez to the mat followed by a clothesline. Bomb dropkicks Perez in the corner for a near fall. Bomb blocks a kick and drop toe holds Perez over the bottom rope. Bomb dropkicks Perez over the bottom rope for a two count. Perez delivers a jawbreaker and a dropkick to the knee. Perez gets a two count following a quick DDT. Bomb superkicks Perez, but Perez reaches the ropes to break the count. Perez gets a quick rollup and pins Bomb for the win. (*1/2. There wasn’t much to this one and it was a rather short match. Perez is probably a favorite to win since she’s been with 2CW the longest.)

Second Contest: Rachel Summerlyn vs. Veda Scott in a first round match: Scott tries for a quick rollup and manages a two count. Summerlyn also gets a two count. Scott snapmares Summerlyn and gets a two count with a rollup. Summerlyn counters with a rollup for a two count. Scott tries for an arm drag, but Summerlyn counters with a rollup for a near fall. Summerlyn controls Scott with a test of strength, but Scott kicks Summerlyn away. Summerlyn delivers a side Russian leg sweep and drives Scott over her knee for a two count. Summerlyn strikes Scott against the ropes a few times. Scott knee lifts Summerlyn and delivers a bulldog for a near fall. Scott chokes Summerlyn on the mat. Scott snapmares Summerlyn and delivers a dropkick to the back. Scott controls Summerlyn on the mat with a submission. Summerlyn leans backwards for a two count. Scott strikes Summerlyn over the back, but Summerlyn blocks a suplex attempt. Scott decks Summerlyn with a forearm strike for a two count. Scott stomps Summerlyn on the mat. Scott strikes Summerlyn into the corner and chokes Summerlyn. Summerlyn chops Scott in the corner a few times. Scott kicks Summerlyn away and delivers a strike over the back. Scott continues by choking Summerlyn in the corner and taunts Summerlyn. Summerlyn elbows Scott in the corner, but runs into a big boot. Scott leaps off the middle rope to deliver a clothesline for a near fall. Scott strikes Summerlyn, but Summerlyn gets fired up and they trade strikes. Summerlyn nails Scott with a clothesline and big boot. Summerlyn hits a swinging neckbreaker for the win. (*1/2. There wasn’t much high impact action here and it felt slow. There were a few moments of good striking, but otherwise it didn’t grab my interest too much.)

Third Contest: Allysin Kay vs. Sara Del Ray in a first round match: They lockup with Kay backing Del Ray into a corner. Del Ray gains control with a full nelson. Kay manages to counter with a front face lock and puts a wrist lock on Kay. Del Ray gains wrist control, but Kay counters quickly and takes Del Ray down to the mat with a hammerlock. Del Ray head scissors Kay onto the mat and keeps control. They have a standoff when Kay gets to her feet after a rollup. Kay delivers a Samoan Drop for a two count. Kay chokes Del Ray with her own arms for a few moments. Kay puts her knee on Del Ray’s lower back and pulls backwards. Del Ray counters and leg drops Kay for a two count. Kay forearms Del Ray over the back. Kay rams Del Ray into the corner and continues with forearm strikes. Kay puts a sleeper on Del Ray. Del Ray gains ankle control, but is kicked by Kay a few times. Del Ray controls Kay with a waist lock and ends up sending Kay into the corner back first. Del Ray yanks Kay to the mat by her arm. Del Ray drives Kay’s arm over his knee. Del Ray stomps Kay on the elbow. Del Ray continues to stomp Kay on the arm. Del Ray keeps control with a wrist lock. Del Ray kicks Kay on the chest and misses a big boot. Kay nails Del Ray with a boot and a running big boot. Kay nearly wins with a rollup. Del Ray knee strikes Kay and nails Kay with a somersault kick in the corner. Del Ray locks in a cross arm bar and forces Kay to submit. (**. A bit better than the first two matches as it was a little more hard hitting and faster pace. Del Ray is a great wrestler and hard hitting. I enjoyed this one a little bit.)

Fourth Contest: Mercedes Martinez vs. Mia Yim in a first round match: Yim gets control with a headlock. Martinez counters with a hammerlock and takes Yim to the mat. Yim gets a hammerlock, but Martinez counters with a drop toe hold. Martinez controls Yim with a headlock. Yim puts a head scissors on Martinez. Martinez breaks free and chops Yim. Martinez slaps Yim across the face and chest. Martinez forearms Yim in the corner followed by a chop. Martinez strikes Yim against the ropes, but misses a clothesline. Yim dropkicks Martinez followed by a forearm strike. Yim dropkicks Martinez and tries for a wheelbarrow, but is driven down to the mat chest first for a near fall. Martinez stomps Yim for a near fall. Martinez chops Yim in the corner followed by an eye rake. Martinez tries for a suplex, but Yim counters with an inside cradle for a two count. Yim kicks Martinez and delivers a few more kicks to the chest. Yim runs the ropes to kick Martinez on the chest for a near fall. Yim gets a choke on Martinez, but Martinez drives Yim into the corner. Martinez sits Yim on the top turnbuckle and delivers a few strikes. Martinez plants Yim with a swinging neckbreaker for a near fall. Martinez nails Yim with a running boot in the corner for a two count. Martinez tries for a fisherman buster, but Yim breaks free and kicks Martinez. Yim goes to the middle rope nailing Martinez with a missile dropkick. Yim cannonball splashes Martinez for a two count. Yim signals for a 450 splash and climbs the ropes. Martinez stops Yim with a strike and powerbombs Yim to the mat. Martinez hits a fisherman buster for the win. (***. A good match as I thought the pace came across well and they provided some impactful moves throughout.)

Fifth Contest: Rachel Summerlyn vs. Portia Perez in the semifinals: Perez avoids locking up at the start of the match and stalls for a bit. Perez avoids locking up again and bails to the floor. Perez continues to taunt the fans in the corner. Summerlyn decides to do the same and play to the crowd to frustrate Perez. Summerlyn backs Perez into the corner, but is backed off by the referee. Perez spits at Summerlyn and is met with a headbutt. Perez bails to the floor, but Summerlyn follows and works over Perez around ringside. Summerlyn rams Perez face first onto the guard railing. Perez eye rakes Summerlyn and rams Summerlyn into the ring post face first. Perez rams Summerlyn onto a steel chair at ringside. Perez chokes Summerlyn with a chair. Summerlyn fires back with strikes to stagger Perez. Summerlyn continues to strike Perez against the railing. Summerlyn strikes Perez against the railing several times with shoulder rams. Summerlyn sends Perez hard into the railing. Summerlyn chokes Perez over the railing. Perez rams Summerlyn into the railing to gain control. Summerlyn grabs Vikings helmet and headbutts Perez at ringside. Summerlyn chokes Perez at ringside. Perez strikes Summerlyn over the back. Summerlyn grabs a fans fake leg and decks Perez with it. Summerlyn boots Perez to the mat for a near fall. Perez nearly wins with a quick rollup. Perez drives Summerlyn down with an arm breaker. Summerlyn locks in a Texas Cloverleaf, but Perez reaches the ropes to break the hold. Perez tries for a rollup with a handful of tights, but the referee sees it. Summerlyn decks Perez from behind with a clothesline. Summerlyn delivers a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Perez nails Summerlyn with a boot, but Summerlyn decks Perez with a clothesline. Summerlyn drives Perez to the mat chest first and locks in another Cloverleaf in the middle of the ring. Perez taps out. (**. Some decent brawling, but there wasn’t much wrestling involved here it felt like to me. I’m a bit surprised Perez didn’t reach the finals, but if it felt obvious she’d get there I don’t mind a curveball.)

Isys Ephex comes out to be the special referee for the next match.

Sixth Contest: 2CW Heavyweight Champion Jay Freddie vs. Brodie Lee vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Jason Axe: Freddie and Edwards kickoff the title match. Edwards shoulder blocks Freddie and Freddie delivers an arm drag. They trade leg sweeps and near falls before both attempting a dropkick and they have a standoff. Freddie and Edwards trade forearm strikes in the middle of the ring. Edwards chops Freddie several times and is met with a clothesline by Freddie. Lee tags into the match and taunts the crowd. Lee backs Edwards into a corner and misses a chop. Edwards big boots Lee a couple of times. Edwards chops Lee several times. Lee kicks Edwards and Edwards delivers a kick. Lee responds with a boot. Lee works over Edwards in the corner and chokes Edwards. Lee tries for a back suplex, but Edwards lands on his feet and chops Lee and Axe. Lee chops Axe upon entering the match and delivers a scoop slam. Lee covers for a one count. Axe delivers a jawbreaker to Lee. Freddie and Axe trade slaps in the middle of the ring. Freddie dropkicks a seated Axe for a two count. Freddie works over Axe in the corner with a chop and a running uppercut. Freddie continues with a flurry of forearms in the corner. Freddie misses a splash and Axe hits a backstabber. Axe sends Freddie into the corner chest first and gets a two count with a spinebuster. Axe decks Edwards off the apron. Lee knocks Axe to the floor. Edwards hits a snap suplex on Freddie. Edwards kicks Freddie on the middle rope and hits a backpack stunner for a two count.

Lee sends Edwards to the floor while Axe leaps off the apron to somersault dive onto Edwards. Freddie suicide dives Axe into the railing. Edwards hits a somersault dive onto Axe and Freddie. Ephex takes the three men out with a dive to the floor. Lee grabs the referee and tosses the referee onto the crowd. Muscle Marcos comes out and is backdropped over by Lee. Lee is tripped by Jack Trades and Trades climbs to the top rope hitting a crossbody onto everyone! Loca Vida leaps off the top to hit a back splash. Kevin Graham hit a somersault dive onto everyone. Steve McKenzie hits a top rope crossbody onto everyone. Carlito comes out and dives onto everyone, as well! Sean Carr also hits a somersault dive onto everyone. Lee tries to do a dive and ends up hitting a suicide dive onto everyone on the floor. Keith Harris leaps over the ropes to also deliver a dive. Mikey Metexas does a dive, but nobody seems to catch him. ZSIII leaps off the top to dive onto the crowd of wrestlers. JD Love slowly gets in the ring as everyone is brawling at ringside. Love drinks some Jack Daniels and punches several wrestlers entering the ring. Love elbow drops Graham. Love climbs to the top rope and dives onto everyone.. slowly.

Freddie missile dropkicks Axe, but Edwards missile dropkicks Freddie. Lee clotheslines Edwards, but Axe stops Lee with a kick. Freddie suplexs Axe, but Edwards drops Freddie with a slam. Lee tosses Edwards with a suplex and delivers a double clothesline. Lee grabs Edwards on the apron and they trade strikes. Axe and Freddie knock Edwards and Lee to the floor. Axe knee lifts Freddie and drives Freddie into the corner before hitting a Death Valley Driver for a two count. Axe sits Freddie on the top rope and delivers a strike. Axe headbutts Freddie, but Freddie knocks Axe to the mat and hits a diving headbutt for a near fall. Freddie tries for a Sharpshooter and locks it in. Edwards superkicks Freddie and nails Lee twice. Lee superkicks Edwards and delivers a double chokeslam. Edwards almost pins Lee with a victory roll. Lee hits a swinging side slam on Edwards for a near fall. Axe and Freddie work over Lee against the ropes. Lee is chopped and double dropkicked to the apron. Edwards kicks Lee in the corner and double stomps Lee on the apron. Axe and Freddie trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Freddie nails Axe with a discus clothesline. Freddie tries for a Tiger Bomb, but Axe delivers a gut buster. Axe misses a kick and Freddie superkicks Axe. Freddie locks in the Sharpshooter and Ephex calls for the bell as Axe submitted. (***. The finish was a bit flat as the crowd didn’t pop for the finish. The dives to the floor spot was a bit comical, but dragged on a bit too long. I was hoping for a classic 2CW encounter here, but they didn’t quite reach that level.)

Seventh Contest: Sara Del Ray vs. Mercedes Martinez in the semifinals: Del Ray controls Martinez with a waist lock, but Martinez counters. Del Ray regains arm control, but Martinez leg sweeps Del Ray and keeps leg control on the mat. Martinez gains back control and chokes Del Ray on the mat for a moment. Martinez strikes Del Ray to the mat. Del Ray strikes Martinez in the corner. Del Ray kicks Martinez on the mat several times on the thigh. They trade chops in the corner for a few moments. Martinez gains control, but Del Ray takes Martinez down and delivers a knee drop to the leg. Del Ray forearms Martinez on the mat while keeping a leg lock on Martinez. Del Ray bridges while keeping the leg lock on Martinez, but doesn’t get a submission. Martinez fights free with a series of strikes. Martinez chops Del Ray into the corner, but Del Ray sends Martinez chest first into the corner and keeps control with a strike and kick. Del Ray forearms Martinez coming off the ropes and maintains leg control on the mat. Martinez forearms Del Ray and delivers a spinebuster for a two count. Martinez chokes Del Ray over the middle rope. Martinez takes Del Ray over with a snap suplex for a two count. Del Ray regains control and drives Martinez into the corner a few times followed by a headbutt. Martinez boots Del Ray in the corner and hits a tornado DDT for a near fall. Martinez delivers a German suplex for a two count. Del Ray heel kicks Martinez and wins following an elevated DDT driver. (*1/2. I was a bit disappointed by this one. It was a mostly slow match and lacked much of any high impact offense until the closing minute or so.)

Eighth Contest: 2CW Tag Team Champions First Class (Graham, Mike Van Slyke & ZSIII) vs. Electric Dream Machine (Loca Vida & Steve McKenzie) & Kage: First Class attack before the bell beating down Vida and McKenzie. Kage ends up making the save and makes the match a six man tag instead of a tag match. Kage delivers a double clothesline to the champs. Van Slyke and McKenzie start off the match with Van Slyke taking McKenzie down to the mat. McKenzie fights back with a few strikes. McKenzie avoids Van Slyke in the corner to deliver a dropkick and drop toe holds Van Slyke to the mat for a near fall. Van Slyke drives McKenzie into the corner and tags in Graham. Graham drop toe holds McKenzie and Van Slyke knee drops McKenzie on the back for a two count. Graham works over McKenzie in the corner, but runs into a boot. Vida tags into the match and rams Graham into the corner. Vida head scissors Graham out of the corner and monkey flips Graham across the ring followed by an arm drag. Vida keeps arm control on the mat. Vida and McKenzie knee lift Graham for a two count. Graham tries to escape the ring, but McKenzie prevents that and tags in Kage. Kage pummels Graham in the corner with strikes. Kage elbows Graham coming off the ropes and delivers a knee drop. Vida returns to the match and delivers a strike from the middle rope to the lower back of Graham.

ZSIII knee strikes Vida from the apron allowing Graham to gain control and ZSIII tags into the match legally. Vida strikes ZSIII a few times, but is beaten down against the ropes. ZSIII catapults Vida over the middle rope. Van Slyke enters the match and stomps Vida on the mat. Van Slyke works over Vida in the corner. Van Slyke splashes Vida in the corner followed by an overhead suplex. ZSIII returns to the match and kicks Vida on the chest. Graham enters to deliver a double clothesline to Vida for a near fall. Graham drives Vida into the corner back first. Graham tries for a tilt a whirl slam, but Vida locks in a dragon sleeper. Graham drives Vida into the corner to break free. Van Slyke tags into the match and works over Vida. Van Slyke drives Vida into the corner and delivers a few clotheslines. Vida ducks a strike and nearly wins with a rollup. Vida boots Van Slyke and leaps off the middle rope, but Van Slyke tosses Vida with a suplex. Van Slyke hits a double under hook suplex on Vida and knocks KAge off the apron. Van Slyke splashes Graham onto Vida. Vida and Graham trade chops on their knees. Graham forearms Vida and deliver a vertical suplex for a two count.

Vida almost wins with a rollup and is prevented from tagging out. ZSIII enters to elbow drop Vida on the mat. Vida head scissors ZSIII, but Van Slyke slams Vida. McKenzie gets involved, but Graham takes care of him. Kage slams Graham and ZSIII nails Kage. Vida and ZSIII collide and both men tag out legally. Kage cleans house with clotheslines. Kage clotheslines Van Slyke to the floor. Graham avoids Kage in the corner and he hits the post. Vida nails Graham with a bulldog for a two count. Van Slyke takes care of Vida and McKenzie on the floor. Van Slyke powerbombs McKenzie into the railing. ZSIII chop blocks Kage allowing Graham to pin Kage for the win. (*. I was not expecting this match to get this amount of time. It’s mostly a filler before the final two matches. Van Slyke powerbombing McKenzie into the railing was not expected.) After the match, Kage is beaten down, but Sean Carr makes the save. IB Green also arrives with a steel chair. The crowd gives a good reaction towards them.

Ninth Contest: Carlito vs. Sean Carr: Carlito offers a handshake and spits an apple into Carr’s face. Carr responds with right hands and a spinning heel kick. Carr stomps Carlito in the corner several times. Carr forearms Carlito against the ropes, but runs into a dropkick. Carlito rams Carr into the corner to maintain the advantage. Carlito sends Carr back first into the corner. Carlito shoulder rams Carr in the corner several times. Carr avoids Carlito into the corner and delivers a knee strike. Carr snapmares Carlito and delivers a kick over the back. Carr comes off the ropes to deliver a running swanton and a moonsault for a near fall. Carr continues to strike Carlito in the corner. Carr plays to the crowd some more. Carlito holds onto the ropes and dumps Carr to the apron. Carr strikes Carlito, but is met with an uppercut and knocked to the apron. Carlito tries for a suplex and settles for an elevated swinging suplex. Carlito stomps Carr on the mat a few times. Carlito drives Carr to the mat with a neckbreaker for a near fall. Carr elbows Carlito to fight free in the corner. Carr strikes Carlito against the ropes. Carlito kicks Carr followed by a knee strike and a clothesline. Carlito goes to the floor and taunts fans. Carlito grabs a fans fake leg, but Carr blocks the strike and nails Carlito with it. Carr covers, but only gets a two count. Carlito drops Carr over the top rope from the apron. Carlito tries for a cover, but Carr kicks out at two. Carr strikes Carlito several times. Carlito hits a springboard back elbow. Carlito chops Carr in the corner several times.

Carlito hooks Carr for a suplex, but Carr counters with a suplex and hits a back suplex for a near fall. Carlito stops Carr with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Carlito stomps Carr in the corner several times. Carlito runs into a boot in the corner. Carr boots Carlito a second time. Carr strikes Carlito in the corner. Carlito charges the corner, but Carr moves. Carlito lands over the middle turnbuckle and crashes to the mat. Carr clotheslines Carlito a few times and delivers a heel kick. Carr is fired up. Carlito manages to get a rollup on Carr and wins the match. (*1/2. The finish is a bit underwhelming and the match itself wasn’t all that great. Carlito did put forth effort and Carr did well when he had the time to shine, but it didn’t connect with me for the most part.)

Main Event: Sara Del Ray vs. Rachel Summerlyn in the finals of the Grand Prix: They start off going for kicks at the same time and trade forearm strikes. Summerlyn clotheslines Del Ray for a two count. Del Ray bails to the floor to regroup. Summerlyn knee lifts Del Ray, but is sent into the railing. Del Ray rams Summerlyn face first onto a steel chair at ringside. Del Ray chokes Summerlyn for a moment. Del Ray elbow strikes Summerlyn followed by a chop. Del Ray chokes Summerlyn against the railing. Del Ray knee lifts Summerlyn against the apron and sends Summerlyn into the railing again. Del Ray sends Summerlyn into the railing and delivers a somersault kick. Summerlyn fights back with strikes to knock Del Ray down. Summerlyn sends Del Ray into the railing. Summerlyn sends Del Ray into the apron chest first. Summerlyn continues to ram Del Ray into the railing. Summerlyn kicks Del Ray over the back. Del Ray responds with a kick to Summerlyn’s back. Summerlyn brings the match back into the ring. Del Ray forearms Summerlyn against the ropes several times. Del Ray tosses Summerlyn across the ring. Del Ray delivers a heel kick to knock Summerlyn to the mat for a near fall. Del Ray keeps Summerlyn on the mat pressing her knee into Summerlyn’s back. Summerlyn gets up and blocks a kick to hit a swinging neckbreaker. Del Ray kicks Summerlyn away. Summerlyn clotheslines Del Ray from behind. Del Ray gets a two count with an inside cradle. Del Ray knee lifts Summerlyn. Del Ray kicks Summerlyn over the back. Del Ray locks in a cross arm bar, but Summerlyn doesn’t submit. Summerlyn gets dragged away from the ropes. Summerlyn doesn’t submit and almost pins Del Ray. Del Ray misses a somersault kick against the ropes. Summerlyn clotheslines Del Ray from behind and puts a Cloverleaf on Del Ray. Del Ray is forced to submit. (*1/2. I think Summerlyn would have been the last person I would have guessed to be the winner of the tournament. The brawling on the floor was fine, but the action that followed wasn’t all that exciting and the match kind of dragged along.)

Final Thoughts:
There are a couple of decent matches, but for the most part the show is a bit underwhelming. Tournament focused shows can be difficult to pull off when seeing some competitors several times in one evening. Recommendation to skip.
