Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Vince McMahon, Hillbilly Jim, Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect are on the panel this week. WWF World Champion Randy Savage joins the panel in studio. Savage enters and says that Primetime will never be the same. Savage says Mr. Perfect isn’t perfect, but neither is he and he can say it. Savage calls Heenan his shadow and threatens Heenan about the pencil in his ear. Savage tells them to get comfortable.

2.) Duggan and DiBiase kickoff the tag match with DiBiase going to the ropes to stall as Duggan gets the crowd behind him by chanting. They trade right hands in the middle of the ring. Duggan atomic drops DiBiase into the corner and the challengers punch DiBiase to the mat causing DiBiase to bail to the floor to regroup. DiBiase gets arm control, but Duggan counters quickly and tags in Slaughter. Slaughter strikes DiBiase a few times and keeps arm control. DiBiase stops Slaughter with an elbow strike and tags in IRS to deliver a few strikes, but misses an elbow drop. Duggan tags into the match, but IRS kicks Duggan to avoid a backdrop and strikes Duggan several times. DiBiase enters the match and kicks Duggan on the ropes. Slaughter tries to get involved, but is stopped and chases Jimmy Hart around ringside. Duggan misses a splash in the corner as IRS moved out of the way. IRS delivers an elbow drop and tags in DiBiase. DiBiase eye rakes Duggan and connects with a clothesline. DiBiase keeps Duggan on the mat with a sleeper. Duggan strikes DiBiase, but DiBiase stops Duggan with a knee lift. IRS punches Slaughter off the apron and keeps control on Duggan with a front face lock. DiBiase distracts the referee as Duggan tagged in Slaughter. DiBiase chokes Duggan on the mat as Slaughter distracts the referee. DiBiase misses a fist drop a few times. Duggan tags in Slaughter, who hammers away on DiBiase in the corner. Slaughter drops DiBiase with an elbow strike in the corner and punches IRS off the apron. Slaughter elbows DiBiase in the midsection and locks in the cobra clutch. IRS kicks Slaughter from behind to make the save. Duggan and Slaughter double team DiBiase. Duggan blocks a 2×4 strike and hits IRS with the 2×4. However, that was seen by the referee and is disqualified. (*1/2. The finish is rather cheap, but expected. The match didn’t have anything outside of mostly brawling. The crowd was pretty vocal for the action, but were noticeably deflated following the finish. These teams were originally suppose to compete at WrestleMania VIII before the switch to the Natural Disasters vs. Money Inc., and was promoted in the WWF Magazine.)

3.) WWF Update with Mean Gene focuses on Big Bossman, whom Gene talked to via phone recently. Gene mentions the beating Bossman recently suffered by Nailz. The beating took place five weeks ago and footage of the beating on Superstars is shown. The phone call between Gene and Bossman is aired. Bossman admits he’s lost a lot of weight, but he’ll recover. Bossman is a man of his word and he’s not going to let a guy like Nailz win. Bossman promises that he’ll be back a lot sooner than Nailz thinks.

4.) Back to the panel, Heenan is on the phone and describing that Savage has the championship with him. Heenan hands the phone over to McMahon, and McMahon reveals it’s Ric Flair. Savage says that Flair is going to be hung real bad.

5.) The forty-man battle royal comes down to British Bulldog, Berzerker, Skinner and Texas Tornado. Skinner manages to knock Bulldog off the apron after a struggle. Skinner accidentally decks Berzerker, and almost eliminates him. Skinner tries to eliminate Berzerker, but fails. Berzerker ends up dumping both Skinner and Tornado to the floor to win the match. (NR. Berzerker winning makes sense considering he enjoys throwing people to the floor instead of pinning guys. Plus, he’s feuding with the Undertaker so the continued momentum is a good thing for him.)

6.) The panel chat with Mr. Perfect telling Randy Savage he’s preparing for the fall as a champion.

7.) The panel talk about Ric Flair, the number one contender to the WWF World Championship. Savage says that Flair is the top contender because he’s beaten all the top guys to earn a title shot. Savage says Flair knows the type of guy that he is to get the job done. Savage promises he’ll do whatever it takes to retain the WWF World Championship. Perfect calls Savage a bigger cheater now than he was at WrestleMania.

8.) The panel talk about Nailz. Hillbilly Jim calls Nailz a tough fella and says nobody deserves a beating such as Bossman’s recent beating. Heenan asks how Jim could know that Bossman didn’t deserve the beating.

Final Thoughts:
A solid show this week with there being plenty of angle advancement and focus compared to recent weeks.
