Rebooking The WWF: Week 27, 1995

RAW 7/3/1995

  1. Rock ’n’ Roll Express defeated Pretty Models in a tag team tournament match in 10:18 when Morton pinned Roma after a double dropkick
  2. Bob Holly defeated Damien Wolf in 2:44 following a missile dropkick. During the match, Brian Lee shared pre-tape comments stating that In Your House Holly will suffer a crash against him that he’ll never recover from.
  3. Kings Court w/ Scott Steiner: Jerry Lawler hosts the segment and introduces the WWF Intercontinental Champion Scott Steiner to join him. Lawler quickly brings up the challenge made by Helmsley for King of the Ring, and mentions that Helmsley defeated Steiner on RAW recently to qualify for the King of the Ring tournament. Steiner warns Lawler to watch himself. Steiner talks about being proud to carry the Intercontinental Champion and he’s not one to discredit the victory that Helmsley holds over him. Thus, Steiner has revenge on his mind and if he has to put the title on the line to beat Helmsley then so be it. Steiner accepts the challenge for IYH on July 23rd.
  4. Shawn Michaels defeated Frankie Lancaster in 3:19 following the Sweet Chin Music. After the match, the mysterious voice is heard again and is singing the chorus of Michaels theme that had at one point be sang by Sherri Martel. Michaels continues to look around confused by the mind games.
  5. Owen Hart defeated Chris Hamrick in 2:52 with the Sharpshooter. After the match, Owen declares that he’s still the best Hart no matter what happened at King of the Ring.
  6. WWF World Champion Diesel Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with the WWF World Champion Diesel regarding the match tonight between Sid and Bam-Bam Bigelow to determine the number one contender. Diesel is aware of the power that Sid posses and how a guy such as DiBiase makes Sid an even stronger challenger. Diesel knows that Sid is mentally unhinged, but Diesel can also go to the next level in order to keep the WWF World Championship around his waist. Bigelow is full of fire and has the unique ability of power and agility by coming off the ropes. Diesel tells Ross that no matter who wins tonight they’ll be stopped by Big Daddy Cool and the championship and his time as champion isn’t anywhere near coming to an end.
  7. Men on a Mission defeated Blu Brothers in tag team tournament match in 6:28 when Mabel pinned Jacob following a big splash
  8. Kama Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with Kama. Kama talks about how he got kicked out of the UFC because he’s too violent and didn’t listen to officials. Kama tells Ross that he’s the meanest, most ruthless and baddest man to ever step foot in the WWF and he’ll plow through every single man in the WWF to prove it.
  9. Razor Ramon & The Kamikaze Kid defeated Chris Kanyon & Mark Starr in 3:04 when Ramon pinned Kanyon following the Razors Edge. After the match, Ramon and Kid cut a promo where Ramon said that he’s got backup that he can rely on against clowns. Ramon suggests they see how tough the clowns are on a level playing field at In Your House.
  10. Jeff Jarrett Interview: Jim Ross talks with Jeff Jarrett regarding the recent comments made by Scott Norton. Jarrett tells Ross that Norton seems to have hit his head too many times and seems to forget how he got in the WWF to begin with. Jarrett takes credit for Norton’s WWF career and he can easily take it all away with a snap of his fingers. Jarrett dismisses the notion that Norton provided him assists in his successes in the WWF. Jarrett has proven on his own that he can be successful on his own. Jarrett tells Ross that he will not stand idle and allow Norton to disrespect him. Jarrett calls out Norton for a face to face confrontation next week on RAW.
  11. In Your House PPV Hype Video: A video package promoting the In Your House PPV on July 23rd is shown.
  12. Randy Savage At Home Interview: Vince McMahon sat down with Randy Savage at his home in Florida this past weekend to have a conversation. McMahon talks about the recent attack by Helmsley in front of Make A Wish kids and the lasting effect it could have on them seeing their hero get beaten up. McMahon also brings up King of the Ring and how now Savage is barred from getting involved in Helmsley’s matches. Savage tells McMahon that he let the kids down, and hopes that over time he’ll be able to see them recover. However, Savage urges the young fans to step away from the TV for a moment. Savage looks into the camera and tells Helmsley that while he’s not at the arenas for a little bit, he will show up again. But, Helmsley will not know when or where. Randy Savage will make sure that Helmsley regrets what he did and he’ll never forget the beating the Macho Man will give him.
  13. Psycho Sid fought Bam-Bam Bigelow to a no contest in a number one contenders match in 7:58 when the Undertaker came out and attacked both men.

Superstars 7/9/1995

  1. Yokozuna defeated Mark Davis in 2:39 following the Bonsai Drop
  2. John Bradshaw defeated Tom Howard in 1:24 following a lariat
  3. Marty Jannetty defeated Paul Diamond in 6:56 following the Rocker Dropper.
  4. The Heavenly Bodies defeated The Headbangers in a tag team tournament match in 8:13 when Del Ray pinned Mosh after a top rope moonsault
