Matches:

2.) D-Von Dudley defeated X-Pac
3.) WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Crash Holly defeated Grandmaster Sexay to retain title
Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Earlier today, Albert was livid about the size of the merchandise and tossed the manager down to the ground. Albert also had a fit with his limo driver and called for a taxi. Albert is frustrated with everyone wearing glasses similar to a Dudley Boy.
2.) Gunn works over Saturn’s left arm with a wrist lock, but Saturn shoulder rams Gunn in the corner a few times. Gunn elbows Saturn in the corner and connects with a press slam. Gunn follows up with a clothesline for a two count. Gunn kicks Saturn, but Saturn tosses Gunn over the top to the floor. Malenko cheap shots Gunn on the floor before sending Gunn back into the ring for Saturn to keep control with a brainbuster for a near fall. Saturn sends Gunn to the floor again and rams Gunn into the ring steps. Saturn heads to the top rope and clotheslines Gunn for a two count. Saturn keeps control on the mat with an arm lock. Saturn rams Gunn into the corner, but Gunn battles back with strikes. Gunn elbows Saturn to the mat and delivers a clothesline. Gunn plants Saturn with a tilt a whirl slam. Gunn signals for the Fame-Asser, but Terri causes a distraction. Saturn plants Gunn with the Death Valley Driver for a two count. Malenko gets kicked off the apron and Gunn hits the Fame-Asser, but Malenko pulls Gunn off. Malenko drops Gunn over the top rope throat first and Saturn hits a swinging neckbreaker for the win. After the match, Gunn fights back with a powerslam on Saturn and the Fame-Asser on Malenko to get some level of revenge. (*1/2. I was shocked that Saturn prevailed over Gunn even with the assistance from Malenko. It’s moments like this that make me feel as if Saturn isn’t dead in the water and they see some value in him.)
3.) Backstage, Albert is eating some food when the chef enters wearing Dudley style glasses and Albert freaks out again.
4.) Pac cheap shots D-Von after a distraction by Credible from the floor. D-Von shoulder blocks Pac and continues with right hands in the corner. D-Von elbows Pac in the corner and delivers a clothesline. Pac spin kicks D-Von to the mat and plays to the crowd. Pac scoop slams D-Von and delivers a quick leg drop for a two count. Pac elbow strikes D-Von over the back. Pac chokes D-Von over the middle rope. Credible decks D-Von and is chased away by Bubba. Pac controls D-Von in the corner and misses the bronco buster. D-Von hammers away on Pac with right hands and a leaping clothesline. D-Von hits a spinning strike and a neckbreaker. D-Von powerslams Pac, but Credible pulls Pac to the floor. Bubba decks Credible on the floor. Credible superkicks D-Von while the referee is distracted. Pac covers D-Von managing a two count. Bubba distracts the referee as Pac accidentally hits Credible. Dudley’s hit the 3D on Pac for the win. (*. Hardly a match since they relied a lot on interference and this was just a way to get the tag feud between the two teams some more heat. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t an actual match to really care about.)
5.) In the production truck, Albert is pissed about what just happened, but the workers in the truck are wearing Dudley glasses and Albert is livid yet again. Albert leaves the truck and goes to the stage to cut a promo. Albert can’t stand seeing all the glasses. Albert realizes that the crowd all have Dudley glasses on and he’s livid about it. Albert leaves the stage.
6.) Two guys come out to the stage to setup a table. It’s actually Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid known as the Backseat Boys. They say they are the Backseat Dudley’s. They do some crowd work thanking the fans for playing mind games with X-Factor. Albert makes his way out to the stage. Albert nails Kashmere with a big boot and puts Acid through the table on Kashmere with the Baldo Bomb.
7.) Sexay and Holly trade wrist locks in the opening moments of the main event. They have a standoff after Crash flipped out of a hammerlock. Sexay controls Holly on the mat with a few elbow drops to the leg. Sexay splashes down onto Holly’s knee. Holly misses a kick to the head and Sexay stomps on Holly. Sexay chokes Holly on the mat and sends Crash into the corner missing a spear. Crash drops Sexay with a back suplex and a clothesline. Crash stomps on Sexay in the corner. Crash fails on a rollup attempt and Sexay delivers a superkick. Sexay dumps Crash to the floor and kind of acts like a heel to the crowd. Sexay tries for a slingshot powerbomb to the floor, but Crash held onto the ropes to block the move. Sexay connects with a running bulldog out of the corner for a two count. Crash avoids a second bulldog by sending Sexay groin first into the corner. Crash hammers away on Sexay and continues with a clothesline. Crash slams Sexay to the mat and heads to the top rope, but Sexay crotches Crash. Sexay hits a superplex to the mat and heads to the top rope. Sexay puts his goggles on and misses a leg drop. Crash gets a rollup on Sexay and wins the match. (*1/2. There were a couple of moments where Sexay seemed to be playing a heel role and I liked it. I doubt it will amount to anything. The action was fine, but not really the style you’d expect from the division.)
8.) Coach conducted an interview with Triple and Stephanie McMahon regarding Triple H losing the WWF Intercontinental Championship to Jeff Hardy on Smackdown. Stephanie reminds Coach what happened to the Hardy Boys and Lita on RAW and Smackdown when they were taken out and JR getting bloodied by Austin. Coach wants to focus on Smackdown, but Stephanie doesn’t care. Stephanie says HHH will be wrestling Jeff Hardy on RAW. HHH says the victory for Hardy was a major fluke on Smackdown. HHH thinks it’s a joke to think that Jeff Hardy could beat him. HHH says that Jeff Hardy isn’t a champion. HHH says that Jeff is a target with the championship. HHH finds a way to get lower and gives Jeff credit for being fearless. HHH says Jeff has to be fearless after what they did to him, Matt and Lita. HHH knows Jeff is fearless for wanting to get back in the ring with him on RAW. Jeff is now swimming with the sharks and the championship Jeff is wearing is blood in the water. Jeff better be the biggest shark in the water or he’s going to get eaten. HHH says that Jeff can count on his rematch, losing the championship and Jeff has not known pain and suffering until they met in the ring on RAW. HHH suggests that RAW will be Jeff’s final wrestling match. HHH wants us to take his words literally. HHH says that the game has just begun and walks off with Stephanie.
Final Thoughts:
In-ring wise it’s a subpar episode, but I thought the closing interview with HHH/Stephanie being on Heat was a interesting, but good to give some importance to Heat.
Thanks for reading.
