Street forearms Rasta, but Rasta forearms Street into the corner several times. Street forearms Rasta out of the corner. Rasta nails Street with his cane to cause a disqualification. (DUD. Well, they didn’t do anything here to put the spotlight on Rasta. Rasta is a limited guy and wasn’t given a good spotlight here. Street advancing isn’t a surprise since he’s an established name, but these two didn’t mesh well at all.)
3.) Backstage Joe Pedicino interviews Billy Black. Black thinks GWF has a lot to offer him and says he’s a popular wrestler in Japan. Black says when anyone gets in the ring with him they better be ready for a fight. Black says his partner Joel Deaton should be coming to GWF soon. Black promises he’s winning the GWF Television Championship.
4.) The show the Patriot vs. Bill Irwin match from earlier in the tournament in full.
5.) GWF Newscenter is up next and they talk about the tournament and how weird they can be. Busick and Landell are seemingly good friends, but the draw has them competing against each other. They note that Landell has had a history double crossing friends and they think the match will redefine wrestling.
6.) Boni Blackstone is with GWF fan Alenna for a fan question. Her question for Rasta is why does he use a cane and what is it for.
7.) They show the Buddy Landell vs. Gary Young match earlier in the tournament in full.
8.) Craig Johnson interviews Buddy Landell. Landell claims that Ric Flair gave him the nickname of Nature Boy in 1983. Landell makes love better than James Bond and that’s why he gets the nickname. Landell doesn’t need any of the dirty rats because he has a woman named Donna. Landell considers the GWF TV Championship a stepping stone to the World Championship.
9.) Boni Blackstone interviews Rasta The Voodoo Man asking him the fan question. Blackstone asks about the cane, but Rasta doesn’t say a word. Rasta proceeds to laugh.
10.) Landell backs Busick in the corner and delivers a right hand, but backs off. Busick tries to get at Landell, but Landell hides behind the referee in the corner. Landell puts a hammerlock on Busick, but is met with an elbow strike. Busick taunts the crowd. Landell wants to do a test of strength, but messes with Busick by switching hands. Landell strikes Busick, but Busick doesn’t budge and stalks Landell into a corner where Landell taunts Busick calling him a chicken. Landell takes Busick down to the mat by his hair a couple of times. Landell keeps arm control for a moment. The referee pulls Landell off of Busick and the referee shoves Landell to the mat. Busick gets headlock control on Landell, but Landell prevents his shoulders from remaining on the mat. Landell puts a head scissors on Busick for several moments. Busick breaks free, but Landell gets the head scissors back on Busick. Landell stomps Busick on the face and taunts the crowd. Landell kicks Busick against the ropes. Landell rams Busick into the corner and delivers a chop in the corner. Busick counters to deliver strikes of his own. Busick hip tosses Landell out of the corner followed by a clothesline and an elbow drop for a two count. Busick puts a bearhug on Landell. Busick axe handles Landell over the back and sends Landell into the corner several times. Landell boots Busick in the corner and uses the ropes for leverage to pin Busick. (DUD. They stalled a bunch and the action wasn’t good since they are both heels and neither man had any sympathy.)
11.) Craig Johnson and Scott Hudson promote next episode where there will be another semifinal and a coin flip. There will be three finalists where the odd man out will wait for the singles match to have the finals. Hudson wonders if there will be a rest period.
Final Thoughts:
Probably the worst episode of Supercard to this point, but that shouldn’t be a surprise because we’re toward the end of it and there’s not a lot of content to fill the time.
Thanks for reading.
