Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Bushwhackers sends the Nasties into each other at the start and double clothesline Knobbs before doing the same to Sags to send the heels to the floor. Sags misses Luke and nails Knobbs on the apron, but the Nasties recover to double clothesline from the apron. Sags rams Luke into the corner and Knobbs tags in to ram Luke into the corner back first. Knobbs nails Luke with a back elbow coming off the ropes. Sags tags into the match and sends Luke into the corner a couple of times, but misses an elbow strike. Knobbs tags in, but Butch enters and cleans house with several strikes followed by a clothesline. Butch drives Sags down to the mat face first and clotheslines Knobbs. Butch comes off the ropes to deliver a flying headbutt for a two count. Bushwhackers deliver a battering ram to Knobbs, but the referee is distracted allowing Sags to use a helmet, but the referee sees it and that causes a disqualification. After the match, Nasties continue to deliver strikes with the helmet to leave the Bushwhackers laying. Jim Duggan runs down with a 2×4 to make the save. (*. I’m sure this is a feud designed to get heat for matches on the house show circuit. The crowd didn’t seem all that invested in the action until the helmet attack.)

2.) Lord Alfred Hayes hosts Special Report. We see footage from Superstars yesterday when Ric Flair confronted Ultimate Warrior during his interview segment. Flair told Warrior that he’ll be champion soon and he’ll be at SummerSlam. Flair claims that WWF World Champion Randy Savage was on the phone with Mr. Perfect trying to acquire their services to guarantee that he’ll win at SummerSlam. Flair tells Warrior that he can still get in on the bidding for Perfect to manage Warrior at SummerSlam.

3.) Repo Man shared a pre-tape comment during Crush’s match. Repo says that Crush reminds him of a tow truck, but Repo controls his tow truck and he’s going to control Crush at SummerSlam.

4.) Backstage, Mean Gene interviewed WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart. We see footage of Helen Hart, Bret’s mother, talking about the house being divided. Helen doesn’t want them to fight each other and she can’t stand it. Helen gets emotional talking about it. Bret feels bad about the situation. Bret says it’s hard on him, but when you win the title you take a pledge to defend the title against anyone. Bret knows it’s tearing his family apart, but they are going to have to accept it.

5.) Rick Martel shares comments during Shawn Michaels match. Martel thinks anyone that believes Michaels is more attractive than him have an eye sight issue. Martel tells Michaels to eat his heart out. During the match, Martel came out to ringside to watch the match and is heard asking if Michaels is jealous of him. Rick winks as Sherri, and after being initially surprised, Sherri winked back at Rick before walking off.

6.) This is Big Bossman’s in-ring return after the brutal attack by Nailz in the spring.

7.) This is Razor Ramon’s debut on Wrestling Challenge. Ramon walks with a certain swagger that is undeniable and looks like a million dollars. Ramon’s won the match with the Razor’s Edge, which got a positive reaction from the crowd.

8.) SummerSlam Report hosted by Mean Gene. British Bulldog cut a promo about the title match in three weeks. Bulldog knows that there’s a lot of people rooting for both men and Bulldog notes the tension between the families. Bulldog believes the families will reunite when the better man wins. Beverly Brothers cut a promo on the WWF Tag Team Champions Natural Disasters. Beverly’s believe they will win the tag titles and they are royalty, who deserve the titles. The Disasters chime in with their thoughts. Typhoon says the Beverly’s belong in the royal outhouse. Earthquake says they are going to keep the titles and the Beverly’s better listen. Harvey Wippleman cuts a promo on Undertaker saying he’s going to become a falling star. Wippleman puts over Kamala as the biggest, meanest and most evil man in the WWF. Paul Bearer and Undertaker respond with Bearer saying the bell is sounding for Kamala’s demise. Undertaker says the sun will set and never rise again for Kamala at SummerSlam. Tatanka cut a promo on Berzerker saying that he’s been to the holy land and he’s seen the vision. Tatanka has promised the chiefs to put Berzerker out of his misery at SummerSlam.

9.) Paul Ellering with Rocco cut a promo. Rocco says Money Inc. is going to leave horizontal at SummerSlam.

10.) Next week, WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart, Papa Shango, WWF Tag Team Champion Natural Disasters and Nailz will be in action. WWF World Champion Randy Savage will be interviewed, as well.

Final Thoughts:
The first show of the taping and there’s a bit going on here. Ramon looks fantastic and seems to be destined for a big push in the WWF. I love the look, the music and the overall presentation. Bossman’s return is great and I’m glad they sold the beating for several months. I wonder if Sherri could align with Rick Martel at some point. I thought this was a very enjoyable episode of Wrestling Challenge.
