Matches:

2.) Hardcore & WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Crash Holly defeated X-Pac & Justin Credible

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Earlier today, Michael Cole and Tazz met with Trish Stratus regarding some bachelors. Tazz says they are unique guys. Cole decides to promote what will be on the show including an announcement by Vince McMahon.
2.) Haku misses an elbow strike and Kwik hits a standing hurricanrana. Kwik tries for a heel kick and is slammed to the mat. Haku follows up with a clothesline. Haku works over Kwik in the corner with chops and stomps. Haku continues to work over Kwik in the corner with strikes. Haku tosses Kwik with a gut wrench slam and kicks Kwik in the ribs. Haku clotheslines kwik coming off the ropes and delivers a leg drop. Haku sends Kwik into the corner and misses a splash. Kwik punches Haku in the corner and tries for a clothesline, but Haku doesn’t budge. Kwik knocks Haku down with a leaping forearm smash. Kwik connects with a tilt whirl head scissors and a missile dropkick for a near fall. Kwik collides with Haku on a crossbody for a two count. Kwik heads to the top rope nailing Haku with another missile dropkick for a near fall. Haku powerslams Kwik, but Kwik counters with an inside cradle to win the match. (*1/4. That’s an upset, which I’m fine with if you’re trying to do something with Kwik. Haku has been a lot of fun here in the WWF since his return.)
3.) Backstage, Vince McMahon is on the phone and says he’s going to be delivering some bad news and doesn’t know if Triple H and Steve Austin can handle this news.
4.) Trish Stratus appears on the stage at WWF New York and she’s going to be playing the dating game. Stratus has three bachelors who will be competing for her and she will be in control of the game. Stratus is going to be asking hard questions since the prize is her. The winner gets a dinner in a private diner. Damn it, the host of the competition is George. The bachelors are Sean from Ireland, Nephew from Newark, and Tommy from Queens.
5.) Backstage, Vince McMahon spills his coffee and isn’t happy about it. McMahon is waiting for Triple H and Steve Austin.
6.) Back to the Dating Game with Trish Stratus. Sean suggests they take their clothes off and rub rocks together if they were naked on an island. Nephew wants to hug. Tommy would just let her stay half naked because she’s so hot. Trish says she’s going to get more questions for them.
7.) Crash and Pac start the match with Crash delivering a shoulder block and a tilt a whirl head scissors. Hardcore tags into the match and keeps wrist control for a moment until Pac chops Hardcore. Hardcore comes out of the corner with a clothesline to Pac followed by a vertical suplex for a two count. Crash comes off the top with a fist strike to Pac’s shoulder. Credible knee lifts Crash allowing a spin kick by Pac. Credible tags in and stomps on Crash several times followed right hands. Credible powerbombs Crash out of the corner for a two count. Pac returns to the match and works over Crash with a shoulder ram. Pac chokes Crash and goes for the bronco buster managing to hit the move. Pac stomps on Crash before tagging in Credible. Crash hits a double clothesline coming off the ropes and tags in Hardcore. Hardcore cleans house backdropping Pac and kicking Credible in the groin. Hardcore puts a modified ankle lock on Credible, but Pac makes the save. Hardcore slams Credible and Crash hits a top rope splash for a two count. Pac and Hardcore go to the floor while Albert nails Crash with a bicycle kick. Spike Dudley comes out and plants Credible with the Dudley Dog. Crash covers and pins Credible for the win. (**. The announcers tried to make this look like an upset, but I’m not sure I’d agree. The Holly’s are former tag champions and have had success in the past while Pac and Credible are not a proven team. It’s a decent quick, but I’m not buying an upset here.)
8.) Backstage, Vince McMahon talks with Triple H, but insists on talking to HHH and Austin at the same time. HHH goes to find Austin.
9.) Saturn backs Raven into a corner, but misses a right hand. Raven punches Saturn a few times and delivers a clothesline for a two count. Saturn knee lifts Raven and connects with an elbow strike. Raven avoids a few strikes to clothesline Saturn. Raven ducks a clothesline and clotheslines Saturn over the top to the floor. Saturn drops Raven over the top rope and rams Raven back first into the ring post. Saturn sends Raven into the ring steps, as well. Saturn heads to the top rope hitting a flying clothesline for a two count. Saturn plants Raven with a back suplex and heads to the top rope. Saturn misses a diving elbow drop. Raven works over Saturn in the corner before hitting a clothesline and knee lift. Raven splashes Saturn followed by a bulldog out of the corner for a two count. Saturn accidentally clotheslines the referee. Eddie Guerrero slides into the ring and is decked by Raven to the floor. Guerrero missile dropkicks Raven. Saturn wakes up the referee and hits the swinging neckbreaker for the win. (*. I thought this was a horrible match. The crowd was dead from the start and nothing seemed to connect with the audience.)
10.) Back to the Dating Game where Trish Stratus asks the guys what kind of food they’d be. The first guy says breakfast so that she’d want to taste his lucky charms. The second guy says peach. The last guy says buffalo wings because he’s hot and spicy. Trish says that WWF New York will help make a decision.
11.) Vince McMahon is on the phone and says he just wants to tell Triple H and Steve Austin the news one time to get the bad news over with at the same time.
12.) George is on the stage to help crown a winner for the Dating Game. The crowd chooses Nephew the second contestant. Trish teases her answer and says that everyone wins tonight. So, all of that and she just picks them all.
13.) Backstage, Vince McMahon meets with Triple H and Steve Austin to give them bad news. Vince says they have to wrestle Kane and Undertaker since they are new tag champions. Vince reveals that they will be wrestling Kane and Undertaker at Backlash. They aren’t happy about that. Vince announces that Austin and Triple H will have to put their singles titles on the line, as well. HHH knew that Vince pissed of Linda to cause this match. Vince is confident they will win the tag titles and there’s nothing to worry about.
Final Thoughts:
There was one decent match, but the Dating Game segments really brought the flow of the show down and I was not entertained by it at all. I have to give this weeks episode a thumbs down. I was really looking forward to Raven/Saturn and it was a massive disappointment.
Thanks for reading.
