Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome everyone to the show running down the card.
Brickhouse Brown and Brother Ernest come out to be interviewed by Russell. Brown says he’s the master of seduction and doesn’t need an introduction. Brown is ready to slap the sucker he’s wrestling upside the head. Ernest puts over Brown since he’s joined his coalition. Brown says everyone knows how smart he is and what he is capable of doing with his brain.
Opening Contest: Brickhouse Brown vs. Scotty The Body: As expected, Brown completely dominates the match. Brown wins the match countering a rollup with a handful of tights for the cheap win in under 90-seconds. After the match, they harass Russell for not being excited like they usually are for Jerry Lawler when he does the same thing.
Lance Russell interviews Tom Brandi, who is making his debut in the area. Brandi was a football player in the USFL and was a chippendale dancer. Brandi says that the CWA is where people want to be and he’s ready to make a name for himself in the area.
Second Contest: Tom Brandi vs. The Blue Knight: Brandi won the match within ten seconds with a rollup. After the match, Boss Winters complains that Brandi was using the tights for leverage. Brandi ends up winning another match after a suplex. Brickhouse Brown comes out and is upset that a brother was made to look bad. Brown issues a challenge to wrestle Brandi.
Third Contest: Brickhouse Brown vs. Tom Brandi: Brown beats on Brandi with right hands and a throat thrust. Brown stomps on Brandi on the mat. Brown hits a suplex and tosses Brandi to the floor. Brown continues to beat on Brandi outside the ring before returning to the ring. Brandi gets a sunset flip and pins Brown for a huge upset win! After the match,. Brown attacks Brandi with strikes. Brown pummels Brandi on the mat with strikes and stomps. Brown sends Brandi into the ring post. Brandi might be bleeding at this point. Brown goes to the middle rope and misses an elbow drop. Brandi dropkicks Brown coming off the ropes and Brown bails to the floor. Brandi was in fact bleeding due to the attack by Brown.
Lance Russell interviews the Bruise Brothers, who are not getting a rematch for the tag titles unless they come up with some money. So, it looks like Mark Miller, a musician, is willing to put his gold record on the line for the Bruise Brothers to regain the tag titles. Brother Ernest comes out and confronts the Bruise Brothers. Ernest asks if they think they will melt it down into a nugget. Bruise Brothers appreciate that Miller is showing that level of confidence in them to put his gold record on the line. They say that in order to beat them they’d have to be in an ambulance.
Fourth Contest: The Bruise Brothers vs. Keith Eric & The Blue Knight: The Bruise Brothers won the match after a suplex on Knight in under two minutes.
Lance Russell interviews Tommy Gilbert and Doug Gilbert alongside Missy Hyatt. Eddie Gilbert is there, too. They have brought out Eddie’s niece to show off that they have royalty in the family. Doug talks about being handcuffed and is going to pummel Jarrett. Tommy is going to be handcuffed to Eddie Marlin at ringside. Tommy says that he’d hurt Eddie Marlin in the heart and that’s exactly what he’s done. Tommy has gotten kicked out of more football games than anyone because of his behavior. Tommy doesn’t seem bothered to wrestle Marlin in a match where the loser will be stripped of their clothing. Eddie will save his comments for later in the show.
Fifth Contest: Tommy & Doug Gilbert vs. Doug Dancing & Alan Reynolds: The Gilbert’s dominate the tag match until Doug wins the match with a spinebuster.
Sixth Contest: Steve Keirn vs. Jesse Owens: Keirn wins the match with a sleeper hold.
Lance Russell calls Jerry Lawler to get a word from the King. Lawler says that he has to put a stop to the Gilbert’s one way or another. Lawler thinks he may have came back a little too early, but he has some surprises for Eddie. Eddie comes out and gets on the phone. Eddie tells Lawler to stop calling if he can’t meet him in person. Eddie hangs up on Lawler and is interviewed by Russell. Missy says they can do whatever they want. Eddie mentions the legends that he’s taken out which has been Lawler, Dundee and Jerry Jarrett. Eddie says the last legend he has to takeout is Lance Russell. Russell suggests that he has a surprise for Eddie. Russell says that he called Lawler from the lobby and not at home!
Jerry Lawler is here! Lawler attacks Gilbert and they top over the background display. Lawler brawls with Eddie at ringside hammering away on Gilbert. Lawler chokes Gilbert with the camera cord. Gilbert stumbles around and Lawler beats on Gilbert with a sandbag. Lawler rams Gilbert into a wooden door and they go backstage and towards outside the venue. Lawler hits Gilbert with metal poles in the parking lot! They are going to commercial as Lawler beats on Gilbert against a car. Gilbert is hammering away on Lawler upon returning from commercial. Lawler slams Gilbert face first onto the hood of a car. Lawler and Gilbert trade strikes on top of the car. Gilbert scoop slams Lawler onto the windshield! Lawler recovers and tackles Gilbert from behind. Gilbert runs away as Lawler tries to catch his bearings after being slammed on the car windshield.
Main Event: Jeff Jarrett, Billy Travis & Scot Steiner vs. The Assassin, Jonathon Quinn & The Atomic Punk: Steiner wins the match in under a minute with a running powerslam in his debut match for CWA.
Jerry Lawler comes out and says he can handle whatever Eddie dishes out to him. Lawler will not stay down and he’ll continue to get back to his feet. Lawler promises that Eddie will get real hot this week. Lawler mentions Missy Hyatt and says she’s entering a mans world in the ring. Lawler mentions hitting a piledriver on the last valet, which was Rick Rude’s valet Angel. Lawler is all fired up to get his hands on Eddie once again.
Final Thoughts:
As long as Eddie and Lawler continue to have segments on TV then it’s going to be a good week. I really enjoyed the parking lot brawl and the windshield spot was something I was not expecting. I am thrilled to see a jacked Scott Steiner in the area now, too. An entertaining week for CWA.
