Black strikes Patriot on the throat and delivers several kicks. Patriot shoulder blocks Black and manages to pickup the win. (**. Black diving to the floor a few times made this a lot more enjoyable. Black has been enjoyable in his showings and for some reason Patriot comes across as a star to me in the GWF and his matches are something I look forward to seeing.)

3.) Craig Johnson interviews Chris Walker. Walker puts over Makhan Singh as being a guy who is off his rocks and doesn’t know what to expect from Singh. Walker is going to be on his toes and doesn’t know what to tell Johnson. Walker had previously been a fan of Norman, but thinks that he’s a little lost now.

4.) Walker shoves Singh away from a lockup. Singh tries for a top wrist lock, but fails to gain the advantage. Singh puts a full nelson on Walker, but Walker breaks free quickly. Singh invites Walker to put a full nelson on him and Singh tries to break free, but struggles to do so and reaches the ropes to break the hold. Walker breaks free from a waist lock attempt. Singh manages to reach the middle rope to break the hold, again. Singh tries to shoulder block Walker, but Walker doesn’t budge. Singh gets a little bit frustrated being unable to drop Walker. Walker is fired up and strikes Singh several times. Walker dropkicks Singh a couple of times. Singh grabs his turban and clotheslines Walker with ti. Singh chokes Walker with the turban and tosses Walker over the top rope to hang Walker causing the referee to disqualify Singh. (*. I actually don’t mind Singh not doing the job because he’s a heel that should be protected until it matters. There wasn’t much to the match in terms of high impact action.)

5.) They promote the coin flip situation where one man gets essentially a bye into the finals and the other two will compete in another match.

6.) Boni Blackstone interviews a fan named Mandy to ask a question for a wrestler. Mandy is nine years old and asks what is Patriot’s hometown. Boni notes that Patriot is billed from a different place each time, but she’ll ask the question anyway.

7.) Street prances around the ring and tries to slap Landell. Street sticks his tongue out at Landell. Street puts a hammerlock on Landell, and switches to a neck vice. Street switches to a full nelson and takes Landell down to the mat to deliver a stomp to the face. Street taunts Landell into a corner. Street rolls through and takes Landell down to the mat with an arm bar. Street uppercuts Landell followed by strikes against the ropes. Landell manages to trip Street while in the ropes and uses the ropes for leverage to pin Street. (1/2*. It sure seems as if Landell is putting forth minimal effort in his matches.)

8.) Scott Hudson interviews Buddy Landell. Landell claims to be the Nature Boy of the 90s. This is the same promo that we’ve heard before.

9.) Boni Blackstone interviews The Patriot asking where his hometown is at. Patriot says his hometown is wherever the American flag is proudly displayed. Patriot represents everyone and they are his fuel. Patriot also notes that he’s international since armed forces are all over the world.

10.) In the ring, Craig Johnson hosts the coin flip between Patriot, Chris Walker and Buddy Landel. All three will have a coin and the odd man out will get the bye into the finals. Landel appears to have cheated as he didn’t actually flip the coin. The referee saw him and they do another flip. Landell flips the coin and clearly switches the coin, but none of them are the odd man out as they all landed on heads. Landel stalls saying that it doesn’t feel right. The referee tells Landel he can forfeit his position if they don’t get this done right now. They finally do it correctly and Landel draws the bye as his coin landed tails and the other two got heads. Landel shoves Patriot into Walker and bails to the floor to avoid any physicality.

11.) Next episode, Patriot battles Chris Walker and the winner will meet Buddy Landel in the finals.

Final Thoughts:
An average episode this week with a focus on the main event guys made this an easy episode to get through. I’m looking forward to the Walker vs. Patriot match as they are easily the top two babyface wrestlers in GWF and a showdown between them could be a big deal already in the GWF.
