Tim Dix introduces Steve Martin to kickoff the show as Martin has a major announcement. Martin gets heckled by the fans, but gives it right back to the fan. Martin says he does pro wrestling because he loves it and not because he has to do it. Martin calls Behrens a yankee bastard trying to ruin what he’s created. Martin calls out Rick Michaels and David Young to join him in the ring. Michaels and Young enter and Martin talks about their history together. Martin recalls his marriage ending and his girlfriend at the time being embarrassed by Jeff G. Bailey. Martin takes credit for making AJ Styles a star and Styles turned on them for a payday. Martin announces he’s giving the promotion to Michaels and says he’s out of there. The fans love it, but Michaels calls them pieces of shit as the show quickly goes to commercial.

Scottie Wrenn comes out causing Tim Dix to bail from the ring. Wrenn wants Stone Mountain to come out and face him in the ring. Wrenn is pissed because Mountain attacks him from behind all the time. Wrenn calls Stone Mountain a punk and promises he’d slap Mountain across the face. Wildside Heavyweight Champion Stone Mountain makes his way out to join the segment. Mountain backs Wrenn into a corner, but Wrenn low blows Mountain and delivers a few strikes.

Opening Contest: Stone Mountain vs. Wrenn: Mountain ducks a clothesline and delivers a back suplex as a referee comes out. Mountain clotheslines Wrenn to the mat a couple of times. Mountain headbutts Wrenn to the mat and delivers a sit out scoop slam. Mountain misses an elbow drop coming off the ropes. Wrenn leg drops Mountain on the groin, but misses a springboard twisting leg drop attempt. Mountain strikes Wrenn several times. Wrenn takes Mountain down with a side Russian leg sweep. Wrenn heads to the top rope missing a swanton bomb. Mountain plants Wrenn with the Landslide (sit-out chokebomb), but Wrenn bails to the floor to avoid a cover. Wrenn decides to leave the match and the bell calls for the bell. After the match, Stone Mountain says Wrenn doesn’t want any more of him. Mountain promises that Wrenn will be his bitch next show. (NR. I’m not sure what this accomplishes by having Wrenn get seemingly defeated as he’s the challenger to the title. Mountain is a force and an intimidating wrestler that needs viable contenders.)

Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey and AJ Styles cut a promo. Bailey says that Styles embarrassed JC Dazz and Jorge Estrada. Bailey believes that Steve Martin embarrassed himself out there and hasn’t laughed so hard since he ran over a dog with his car. Bailey knows that Martin lost it all once he lost AJ Styles. Styles mocks Martin and puts over his body. Styles proclaims he’s the beginning and the end of professional wrestling. Bailey takes credit for ending Martin’s wrestling career.

Second Contest: Rusty Riddle vs. Sean Royal: Royal and Riddle trade chops in the opening moments of the match. Royal knocks Riddle to the mat, but regroups in the corner. Riddle shoulder blocks Riddle. Royal controls Riddle with an Indian death lock and bridges backward. The commentators didn’t know which one is which, and they realize it during the match. Riddle arm drags Royal to the mat and keeps arm control on the mat with a knee drop. Royal counters with a hammerlock, but Riddle counters until Royal takes Riddle to the mat. Royal stomps Riddle on the mat and locks in a leg lock. Riddle refuses to give up and is almost pinned a couple of times before countering the hold. Riddle throws Royal through the ropes to the floor. Royal pulls Riddle to the corner and wraps Riddle’s leg around the ring post. Royal hits a bridging suplex for a near fall. Riddle kicks Royal several times on the chest. Riddle walks the ropes and drives Royal down to the mat with a facebuster to win the match. (1/2*. Apparently these guys hadn’t been in the ring for several years. Riddle had been seen a few months on Wildside TV, so these commentators aren’t aware of what’s been going on.) After the match, Royal puts an abdominal stretch on Riddle and wrenches on Riddle’s leg on the mat. Security storms the ring to try and stop the attack.

Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey is on the phone asking for someone to be there to take care of Jesse Taylor. Bailey reminds the man they are driving the car because of him. The cameraman makes a noise and Bailey sees him demanding the camera to leave the area.

Tim Dix introduces Christopher Samson for an interview. Samson is a motivational speaker. Samson says he’s traveled all over the world and puts over the fans as the best fans all over the world. Dix asks what Samson is going to do with the phonebook. Samson wants to provide a positive message for the young fans out there. Samson says he’s there to prove you can be a world class person. Samson rips the phonebook in half. Wildside US Champion Terry Knight and Candy come out to join the segment. Knight says he’s sick and tired of people coming into his sport and taking up his time. Knight doesn’t think Samson could stand with him in the squared circle. Knight is declaring war on anyone who thinks they can be a professional wrestler. Samson has heard Knight’s message and doesn’t stand for Knight’s message. Samson stands for John 3:16. Samson calls Knight a Jeff Jarrett lookalike and he can leave the ring. Samson tells Knight to leap if he’s feeling froggy. Knight shoves Samson, but Samson responds with a shove back to knock Knight to the mat. Samson tells Knight to take his message and leave. Samson says he’s coming after the United States Championship. Knight chimes in and says that pro wrestling is his message because it’s how he makes a living. Samson says that no man will never respect Candy for wearing that kind of clothing. She’s literally wearing a skirt.

Jeff G. Bailey introduces the return of Thunder to Wildside to wrestle Jesse Taylor. Many months ago, Bailey had gone to Thunder’s mothers house to essentially threaten Thunder to be part of his group.

Main Event: Jesse Taylor vs. Thunder: Thunder backs Taylor into a corner, but backs off cleanly. Thunder backs Taylor into the corner and delivers a knee lift. Taylor controls Thunder with a headlock and delivers a shoulder block followed by a hip toss. Taylor dropkicks Thunder to the mat causing Thunder to bail to the floor to regroup. Thunder returns to the ring to forearm Taylor followed by a strike over the back. Thunder sends Taylor into the corner and delivers a kick to the midsection before choking Taylor in the corner. Thunder rams Taylor into the corner and taunts the crowd. Thunder decks Taylor with a clothesline to counter a hip toss attempt. Thunder scoop slams Taylor and controls Taylor with a chin lock as the show goes to commercial.

Thunder keeps control and gets a two count. Thunder blatantly low blows Taylor and chokes Taylor over the middle rope. Taylor hits a top rope crossbody for a two count, but Thunder clubs Taylor over the back and chokes Taylor. Thunder side slams Taylor to the mat. Taylor hits a belly to belly suplex, but the NWA Elite charges the ring and attack Taylor. After the match, Thunder hits a sit out slam on Taylor. Bad Attitude and Jorge Estrada run out to the ring to fight the NWA Elite. (1/2*. Thunder doesn’t seem to be hating his life being associated with Bailey. This wasn’t enjoyable.)

Outside, Scottie Wrenn cuts a promo and says it is time to beat Stone Mountain’s ass. Wrenn keeps hitting a fence behind him. Wrenn considers himself the atomic bomb of the NWA.

Final Thoughts:
I’m pretty sure there was supposed to be an announcement regarding a COO for Wildside as Behrens said he wasn’t going to be there, but that didn’t happen. I’d consider this one of the worst episodes of Wildside TV thus far. There wasn’t much of anything that I found interesting or entertaining. Hopefully they can rebound next week and get back on track.
