Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Mean Gene starts the show walking up to the merch table where the Bushwhackers are looking through shirts and other merch. Gene reminds them they have a match on the show and they decide they can go back to the merch afterward.
2.) Bobby Heenan is by himself on commentary and doesn’t know where Gorilla Monsoon is at. Monsoon walks into the scene doing the Bushwhacker arm taunt. Monsoon says they will announce the big main event for Survivor Series and runs down who we’ll see on the program.
3.) WWF Special Report is hosted by Lord Alfred Hayes. Hayes talks about Survivor Series taking place on November 22nd. Hayes announces the main event as WWF World Champion Ric Flair teaming up with Razor Ramon to take on Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior. Hayes says this match is being promoted as the greatest match in Survivor Series history.
4.) A vignette promoting former WWF World Champion Bob Backlund is shown. They are heavily promoting Backlund’s All-American background and his dominance in the WWF back in the 1970s and early 1980s. Can Backlund continue to be successful in 1992?
5.) Jimmy Hart shared pre-tape comments during the Nasty Boys match. Hart talks about the controversy regarding who are the number one contenders between Nasty Boys and Money Inc. Hart says he can flip a coin and no matter what he wins.
6.) Throughout the match, the Nasty Boys constantly pulled their opponents up at the count of two to inflict more punishment. After a top rope elbow drop by Sags and pulling Phillips up, the referee awards the match to Powers and Phillips by disqualification.
7.) Next week, Beverly Brothers, Nailz, WWF Tag Team Champions Natural Disasters, and a special interview with WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Razor Ramon.
8.) Bushwhackers finish the show eating popcorn and causing a mess.
Final Thoughts:
Well, there’s nothing going on here other than the announcement for the Survivor Series main event. The enhancement matches aren’t bad and the show flows pretty quickly. Not a lot of development, though.
Thanks for reading.
