There are not going to be any new matches on this show due to Freedom Fight taking place the day before. Thus, this is mostly going to be highlights from the event. I will be covering any promos done on the show that weren’t on the previous event. This likely will be the case for a few weeks worth of TV.

Steven Prazak is backstage talking about Freedom Fight for a moment. Lee Tidwell enters the scene and was running late into the show, but Prazak cuts him off.

Outside, Bad Attitude talk a promo about Steve Martin betraying them and they knew it was going to happen. They have an ace up their sleeve.

NWA Wildside Tag Team Champions Bad Attitude come down to the ring to cut a promo. David Young says they saw this coming from the very beginning. Young says that nothing has been settled and Martin has only made them mad. Young calls out Martin and Behrens to the ring. Bill Behrens, Steve Martin and Jeff G. Bailey make their way out to the ring. Rick Michaels insults the trio as being the poster children for homosexuality. Michaels tells Martin that Behrens is trying to take credit for everything that Martin created. Michaels tells them they have an ace up their sleeve. Michaels brings up Marcus Wayne who was a commissioner, and apparently he gave the commissioner spot over to someone else. Michaels reveals it is Al Getz as the new commissioner. Getz is taking credit for Lee Tidwell having car problems. Getz will be doing commentary. Getz had been gone for two months since he was fired. Gets notes that Behrens offered him promises and says Behrens is responsible for JC Dazz and Scottie Wrenn breaking up, but Behrens lied to him. Gets recalls Behrens telling Wrenn he shouldn’t compete in Florida and that’s when Getz left, but he realized he was a quitter and there was no way that the three stooges are going to take over the company and building. Getz admits to doing some bad things, but he’s not going to allow the NWA to takeover a company that was built on the sweat of JC Dazz and Bad Attitude. Getz reveals a couple of changes to the show. Getz switches Onyx’s match and now there is a battle royal with the battle royal winner getting the lap dance from Candi. Christopher Sampson is injured and can’t compete against Terry Knight. Getz decides against revealing Knight’s opponent. (This was not included on the Freedom Fight event, and it probably should have been to make sense of what was going on.)

Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey cuts a promo with Onyx by his side. Bailey is sick of Lazz and says men use Lazz’s face at the truck stop. Bailey promises that Lazz isn’t going to survive in the ring with Onyx. Bailey proclaims Onyx will kill Lazz.

Outside, Total Destruction cuts a promo. They want Bad Attitude after they cleared the ring. They mean business.

Final Thoughts:
If you read Freedom Fight, I was baffled by Al being the commissioner, and this gives context. However, it still feels odd. Wildside falling into the WCW trope where there’s a lot of guys who have power and essentially nobody has full power makes for bad angles and confusing storytelling. So, I’m not thrilled with that direction.
