Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Mean Gene starts the show on a podium, but it’s footage from last Monday in Saskatoon, Canada. Gene introduces the NEW WWF World Champion… Bret ‘Hirman’ Hart! Hart is proud of this moment and considers it the greatest moment of his life. Hart dedicates the moment to everyone who believes that the biggest dreams can come true. Gene talks about having watched Hart his entire career. Gene believes Hart’s success is from him paying his dues and finally realizing his dreams through hard work. Hart has been involved since he was a little kid. Hart has dedicated his whole life to wrestling. Hart has dedicated himself to learning wrestling and never believed he knew everything. Hart waited his whole life for one chance and he got that chance. Hart thanks every wrestler that he’s ever competed against and he’s learned so much. Hart thanks Ric Flair for stepping into the ring and giving him a chance. Hart also thanks the fans for supporting him and friends for backing him up through the thick and thin. Hart also thanks God for giving him the greatest moment of his life. He is proud to be champion.

2.) Bobby Heenan is a bit distraught as Gorilla Monsoon talks about Bret Hart winning the WWF World Championship. Heenan is upset the match took place in Saskatoon. Heenan claims that Flair wasn’t feeling well. Heenan promises the first time Flair sees Hart the WWF World Championship will be coming right back to him.

3.) Moon leapfrogs Brawler a few times before hitting a hip toss and dropkicks Brawler to the floor. Moon takes Brawler out with a crossbody to the floor. Moon plays to the crowd on the middle rope. Moon leaps off the apron to take Brawler out with a splash. Moon hip tosses Brawler followed by an arm drag and keeps Brawler on the mat with an arm bar. Moon keeps Brawler on the mat and delivers a knee drop to the left arm. Moon scoop slams Brawler and delivers a rolling senton. Moon sends Brawler into the corner and delivers a spin kick. Moon hits a rolling fireman carry slam. Moon hits a top rope twisting crossbody for the win. (*. Moon looked solid in there, I thought. Moon had some fun high flying moves throughout.)

4.) WWF Special Report is hosted by Lord Alfred Hayes. Hayes naturally talks about Bret Hart winning the WWF World Championship from Ric Flair last Monday night. We get a promo from Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior. Savage puts over Bret Hart for winning the WWF World Championship. Savage doesn’t want it called a comeback when they square off against Ramon and Flair at Survivor Series. Warrior chimes in and tells Flair to not drown himself in pity. Warrior says there is a bond between them that can’t be broken. Mr. Perfect, Razor Ramon and Ric Flair also share a promo. Perfect says Bret Hart being champion doesn’t fit well with them because Flair is the real champion. Flair says things are off kilter and Hart has fueled the fire. Flair says they will climb the ladder in the sky to get the recognition they deserve. Ramon says some people thrive on intensity and love to be in the spotlight. Ramon wants Savage and Warrior to gear up because they are taking their frustration and anger out on the Ultimate Maniacs at Survivor Series. Flair is use to being number one and wants them to look at them because they are coming to get them.

5.) Nailz grabs a microphone after his victory. Nailz asks where Big Bossman is at. Nailz says the system can no longer protect Bossman. Nailz demands Bossman come out to the ring right now and he’ll show Bossman what it is like to serve hard time. Nailz claims he’s the new sheriff in town.

6.) A vignette promoting Bob Backlund as a wrestler and family man is shown. Footage of Backlund with family and working for a family business is shown. Backlund says he’s “got to do what I got to do.” Backlund is returning to the WWF.

7.) Survivor Series Report with Mean Gene is up next. Gene promotes the tag team main event between the Ultimate Maniacs and the team of Razor Ramon and Ric Flair. There will be a coffin match where The Undertaker squares off against Kamala. Harvey Wippleman provides a pre-tape promo and says that Undertaker is going to be the man put in the coffin. Wippleman doesn’t believe Undertaker will survive at Survivor Series. We see footage of Undertaker cutting a promo while in a coffin and it says it is airing tomorrow night on Prime Time Wrestling. Taker promises Kamala will rest in a very similar coffin that he’s currently laying in.

8.) Jimmy Hart shares pre-tape comments during Natural Disasters match. Hart doesn’t have to tell Monsoon anything, but he does a plan regarding the number one contenders to the tag titles.

9.) Bob Backlund will be returning to action on November 28th at an MSG show against The Mountie as it is revealed during a WWF Event Center segment.

10.) Next week, Kamala, Shawn Michaels, Tatanka, Razor Ramon, and the Ultimate Maniacs will have a special interview.

11.) The show ends with footage of Bret Hart celebrating his WWF World Championship victory.

Final Thoughts:
It’s a bit jarring to be witnessing a complete overhaul to the WWF World Championship scene seemingly out of nowhere. However, it makes a lot of sense. Flair is a bit played out already and there’s may not be a lot of hope in a Warrior run as a face at this point. Hart is a young act who hasn’t been in the main event and arguably the best in-ring worker. Hart winning the title is beginning a new era for the WWF. A good episode of Wrestling Challenge this week.
