Valentine clubs Douglas with a clothesline and hits an elbow drop. Douglas kicks Valentine into the corner chest first and nearly wins with a rollup. Valentine decks Douglas from behind and forearms Douglas to the mat. Douglas avoids a forearm hitting a belly to belly suplex for the win. (**. It’s simple booking, really. Valentine may not have a long time remaining in WCW, so he puts over the younger Douglas that appears to have some direction in WCW moving forward. It’s simple business. The action was alright, but not anything overly interesting.)
Final Thoughts:
I honestly came into this hoping for a better match out of DDP/Bagwell, but the action here was mostly dull. It’s a skippable overall show, but it wasn’t one that I regretted watching.
Thanks for reading.
