Hammer trips DDP from the floor allowing Armstrong to land on top and wins the match. After the match, Armstrong is met with a double clothesline by DDP and Vegas. Hammer gets in the ring to save Armstrong from further attack. (*1/2. There wasn’t much to this other then the closing sequence that got the crowd to pop.)
3.) Teddy Long does a wrestler spotlight on Steve Austin and we see some footage of Austin competing on WCW Pro hitting the Stun Gun. Long notes that Austin teams with Brian Pillman currently and we see footage of them teaming together.
4.) Shane Douglas won his enhancement match following a belly to belly suplex.
5.) Tony Atlas won his enhancement match with a full nelson.
6.) Missy Hyatt hosts Missy Does The Mail. Missy promotes the arm wrestling contest that is taking place on WCW Worldwide. We hear from Jesse Ventura, who is hosting the tournament. Ventura says they are going to find out who has the strongest arm in WCW. Steve Austin thinks he is the greatest athlete and believes he’ll win. Van Hammer is showing up armed and dangerous. Ron Simmons has been training hard. Vader is going to make people the price. Vinnie Vegas has been strong arming people and doesn’t think this is any different. The bracket is the following: Simmons vs. Austin, Barbarian vs. Arn Anderson, Van Hammer vs. Vinnie Vegas and Vader vs. Nikita Koloff. Barbarian just yells, while Anderson notes he’s a great wrestler and thinks the same about his arm wrestling contest. Anderson is going to excel. Koloff warns the Russian Sickle is coming. WCW United States Champion Rick Rude says he’s too busy to compete, apparently. Missy Hyatt predicts WCW World Champion Ron Simmons is going to win the tournament.

Roberts backs Rhodes into the ropes again and delivers a few strikes to the back. Rhodes leapfrogs over Roberts and decks Roberts to the floor. Simmons rolls Roberts back into the ring. Simmons elbows Cactus and hits a bulldog out of the corner for a two count. Rhodes enters the match and keeps a wrist lock on Cactus. Cactus strikes Rhodes over the back and rams Rhodes into the corner. Rhodes monkey flips Cactus out of the corner. Rhodes tries for a monkey flip, but Roberts cheap shots Rhodes from the apron. Rude enters the match and decks Rhodes before taunting the fans and Ron Simmons. Rude keeps Rhodes on the mat with a sleeper, but doesn’t get a submission.
Rhodes elbows free, but is met with a knee lift coming off the ropes. Rude forearms Rhodes into the ropes and tags in Cactus. Cactus kicks Rhodes followed by strikes. Rhodes responds with several strikes and tries to tag out, but is stopped by Cactus. Cactus drives Rhodes face first onto the mat for a two count. Windham comes off the ropes to forearm smash Rude. Cactus gets tagged in and stops Windham from tagging out. Cactus stomps Windham on the mat. Windham strikes Cactus a few times, but is knocked to the mat. Cactus tries to ram Windham into the corner, but Windham counters. Windham shoulder blocks Cactus to the mat. Simmons tags in and cleans house with strikes. Simmons nails Cactus with a leaping shoulder block as all six men are brawling at this point. Cactus boots Simmons in the corner, but runs into a powerslam and Simmons pins Cactus for the win. (**. A huge six man tag match on TV, but this came across like a house show effort for the most part. The closing sequence of everyone brawling got the crowd into it, but prior to that it was mostly uneventful action.)
Final Thoughts:
While there was a big six man tag main event, the action wasn’t all that worthwhile or memorable. I’d say this is an average episode overall despite the disappointing main event.
