Shawn Michaels comes out to open the show as it appears the WWF Intercontinental Championship match is going to start the show off.

Vince McMahon, Randy Savage and Bobby Heenan go over the Michaels/Duggan match. Savage believes Duggan will be winning tonight.

Jim Duggan defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels via count-out:
Duggan stalks towards Michaels, who just leaps to the floor to avoid any contact for the time being. Michaels stalls for a few moments as Duggan gets the crowd behind him. Duggan sends Michaels into the ropes and connects with a series of clotheslines. Michaels staggers around and falls to the floor. Michaels grabs the 2×4 but the referee and Duggan prevent Michaels from using it. Duggan blocks a boot and delivers left hands and a right hand to knock Michaels down. Michaels walks up the entrance ramp but is stopped by Duggan who carries Michaels back to the ring. Duggan drops Michaels back into the ring. Michaels drops Duggan throat first across the top rope as the show returns from commercial. Michaels with right hands and chokes Duggan on the middle rope. Michaels jumps onto the back of Duggan who was still across the middle rope. Michaels chokes Duggan for a couple of seconds. Duggan no sells right hands but Michaels maintains control with a rake of the eyes in the corner. Michaels with a double axe handle off the top and goes back to choking Duggan. Duggan comes back with shoulder rams in the corner. Duggan runs into a big boot in the corner and Michaels drops a series of elbows to the chest of Duggan. Michaels with a sleeper hold but Duggan gets to his feet. Duggan with punches and a shoulder block. Michaels stops Duggan with a running knee lift to the midsection. Michaels sends Duggan through the middle rope to the floor. Michaels leaps off the apron and drives a double axe handle across the back of Duggan. Duggan is on the floor and the crowd gets behind him. Duggan is rammed head first into the top turnbuckle and poked in the eye. Michaels rubs Duggan’s eyes on the top rope and goes back to a sleeper hold. Duggan gets his arm up before three drops and rams Michaels head first into the top turnbuckle. Duggan goes back to work on Michaels with left hands and hammers away on Michaels in the corner. Duggan sends Michaels into the ropes and power slams Michaels. Duggan signals for the clothesline and takes Michaels out with the clothesline. Michaels flips around and falls to the floor. Michaels heads to the backstage area but Duggan stops Michaels again with a right hand. Michaels sends Duggan into the guard railing but Duggan clotheslines Michaels over the guard railing into the crowd. Michaels is counted out! **½
After the match, Duggan cuts a promo about the WWF getting this one wrong. Duggan isn’t leaving the arena until he gets another shot at Michaels. Duggan throws chairs into the ring.

Jim Duggan is still in the ring wanting more of Shawn Michaels.

We go to Gene who is ready to present the King of the Ring report. Bret Hart and Lex Luger have already qualified for the tournament. Hulk Hogan defends the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Yokozuna.

Second Contest: Doink defeated The Kamikaze Kid:
Kid doesn’t get any offense moves in. Doink makes Kid submit in just under two minutes of action to win the contest.

Third Contest: Bob Backlund defeated Duane Gill:
During the contest, it is announced that Jim Duggan will be getting a rematch against Shawn Michaels next week and it will be a lumberjack match. The match itself is quite boring, with Backlund reversing moves and finally bridges Gill into a pin for the win.

Vince McMahon calls out Jim Duggan for an interview. They hype up the lumberjack match next week. Duggan says that he will be taking the Intercontinental Championship. Randy Savage hypes up some sort of surprise.

A video promoting the new tag team known as the Smoking Gunns, Billy and Bart. They make sure to mention Money Inc., The Headshrinkers and the Beverly Brothers.

Randy Savage reveals the surprise which turns out to be… Capt. Lou Albano!

Fourth Contest: The Headshrinkers defeated Jim Bell/Tom Roy:
Headshrinkers displayed a few good double team moves throughout the contest. Nearly six minutes goes by until Fatu connects with a top rope big splash to pick up the rather easy win.

Main Event: Kamala defeated Rich Myers:
Kamala continues to not know how to pin his opponents. Kamala nails Myers with a splash and figures out how to pin Myers after two and half minutes of action.

Jim Duggan battles Shawn Michaels in a lumberjack match, and Typhoon will face Bam-Bam Bigelow for a King of the Ring spot next week.

Bobby Heenan is standing with Shawn Michaels. Michaels appears to be jealous of Duggan for having Jack Tunney’s number, and he doesn’t. Michaels makes sure to mention that he will retain the title next week as he has a few surprises for Duggan.
