WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2012 Predictions!

WWE TLC this Sunday at 8pm ET!

World Wrestling Entertainment returns to pay per view with Tables, Ladders and Chairs tomorrow night. Here is the card along with my predictions for the event.

Santas’s Helper Number One Contender Diva Battle Royal:
If AJ Lee had remained in the match, then I would have picked her to win, but that’s no longer the case. So, I’ll go with the second top babyface in the Diva division, Layla.

Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
I really enjoy the team of Rhodes and Sandow. They are a very good combination and should be contenders for the tag titles. Rey and Cara are seemingly on the cusp of winning the titles and eventually wrestling at Mania. But, I think Team Rhodes Scholars win this one.

For the WWE United States Championship:
[champion] Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth

Cesaro is a really good champion and Idon’t care about Truth. He just doesn’t have any steam going for himself and is just floating around, I feel like. Winning the championship might help that, but Cesaro is establishing himself as every month passes by. So, Cesaro continues his reign.

For the WWE Intercontinental Championship:
[champion] Kofi Kingston vs. Wade Barrett

While I’m not a fan of a lot of title changes during a year, I’m way too big of a fan of Barrett to not pick him to win this. For some reason, I think Kingston has constantly failed at being a top babyface as he doesn’t get strong reactions. I’m basing this compared to the other faces and the fact that people in the crowd typically don’t do his clapping taunt. Barrett is a star and could feud with Sheamus over the championship in mid ’13. Barrett claims gold tomorrow night, hopefully.

For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Chairs Match
[champion] Big Show vs. Sheamus

I have a hard time seeing Show with the gold heading into 2013. There are rumors that Ryback could challenge Show for the strap at WrestleMania but I don’t see it. I’d rather see Sheamus/Orton for the strap at Mania. I’m expecting Sheamus to hit the Brogue Kick sending a chair into Show’s face to win the title, again.

For Ziggler’s Money In The Bank Briefcase: Ladder Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena

The idea of John Cena winning the briefcase is really aggravating and something I hope doesn’t happen. I don’t want Ziggler to suffer from what Rob Van Dam suffered from in 2002. RVD had so many chances to breakout and be a top guy for the RAW brand that year, but never got the chance. Ziggler deserves the chance and I think he would excel at it. Yeah, Cena losing may not be great, but it’s a ladder match and wouldn’t hurt Cena too much. I’m thinking Ziggler prevails someway, somehow.

WWE World Tag Team Champions Team Hell No & Ryback vs. The Shield: Tables, Ladders & Chairs
Part of me feels like the Shield would benefit a lot from winning this, but then I also feel like Ryback needs a win on pay per view. There wouldn’t be any benefit in having Ryback lose another match on pay per view, or be part of a team that lost. The Shield would be able to get their heat back at a later time and are fresh enough that a loss here wouldn’t hurt them at all. So, I’m expecting the faces to go over here.
