Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Iron Sheik made his return to the WWF after a 13-month hiatus. Sheik showed ruthless aggression by hitting Casey before the bell with his flag. Sheik won the match with the camel clutch. He cut a insert promo and said he was number one while the USA is nothing but liars.
2. Craig DeGeorge conducted an interview with WWF World Champion Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. Savage recalls recalls being attacked last time he was interviewed on the podium. He says that is not going to happen again. Savage is angry with Virgil for putting his hands on Elizabeth and forced her to watch the beating. Randy has someone to watch his back, whom he can trust. That happens to be his tag team partner. Savage hypes it up before revealing that Hulk Hogan is his tag team partner. Hulk Hogan makes his way out from the backstage area. This marks Hogan’s return to the WWF for the first time since April. Hulk likes Savage and knows where he is coming from. Hogan says that Savage made one mistake. Hogan says that Savage was wired when he called Hogan. It’s the call that was heard around the world, apparently. Hogan says they are fighting for the love of their fans. Hulk says they are fighting for the same lady. Hogan considers Elizabeth to be the manager of them both. Hulk wants to shake Savage’s hand and it’s the first public handshake of the Mega Powers. Savage says all of the public transportation will come to a complete stop when they beat DiBiase and Andre. Hogan tells Savage that Elizabeth is his lady too. Hogan asks what are they going to do when the Mega Powers come running through.
3. Slick shared a pre-tape promo during Bossman’s match. Bossman will be wrestling Koko B. Ware at SummerSlam. Bossman says Koko will find out that justice has no mercy.
Final Thoughts:
The main point for this episode was the reveal of Hulk Hogan as the mystery partner. The segment ran a little too long, but it served it’s purpose. Not a bad show. I’d give it a thumbs up. The promotion for SummerSlam has been entertaining thus far.
Thanks for reading.
