The Winner Of The 2014 Royal Rumble Is…

The 2014 Royal Rumble is twenty three days away. As usual, fans and experts are debating on who could possibly win the 30-man Royal Rumble match to main event WrestleMania XXX. Here are five guys who have been heavily mentioned along with my personal pick to win the match.

Roman Reigns
There has been rumors that Reigns will be turning babyface sooner rather than later and is projected to get a huge push once that happens. Recently, there has been talks about Reigns wrestling the Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, which would be a huge match for the star. The idea of Reigns winning the Rumble would be a complete shock and something the Rumble match really needs. Most, if not every, Rumble match sees a guy everyone expected to win or have a good shot at winning. Why not shake things up and have an up and coming star get shot up the card? It may be early, but either way, Reigns is going to have a big 2014 year.

Batista
With the return of Batista being spoiled, it’s almost a forgone conclusion that Batista will win the 2014 Royal Rumble and challenge former Evolution buddy Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX. It’s cool to see Batista is coming back, but the WWE needs to start elevating guys that are younger and fresher to the public eye. I’d rather have Reigns win the match than Batista.

CM Punk
I’ll admit that I haven’t watch RAW in the last few weeks, but from the reviews I’ve read, Punk doesn’t seem to be a high priority on WWE television. Add in the recent AJ Lee/Michelle Beadle drama and Punk being fed up with both the company direction and the traveling, I can’t imagine Punk would be getting the Royal Rumble win. Honestly, I’m a little burnt out on Punk in the WWE. Maybe a lengthy break for him would not only do himself some good, but the fans as well.

Brock Lesnar
Lesnar returned this past Monday on RAW and destroyed Mark Henry. That could possibly lead to a match between the two at the Rumble. That likely takes Lesnar out of the Rumble and instead will be in a different high profile match at Mania XXX.

Daniel Bryan
2013 should have been Bryan’s year. The guy is ridiculously over and keeps getting over stronger after every job to Randy Orton. Some fans seem to be convinced that Bryan is going to be a full fledge heel with the Wyatt Family. Am I crazy to think Bryan will just turn on the group? The WWE can’t be dumb enough to end Bryan’s babyface run at the peak of it, right? Sure, we have seen Bryan vs. Orton way too much in 2013, I mean it headlined three straight pay per views in ’13. The difference this time around is that well, it would be at WrestleMania and Bryan would finally beat the Authority. Just like it should be. Daniel Bryan should win the 2014 Royal Rumble.
