Written by: Bob Colling

World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date:
11/12/1988
From: Baltimore, MD

Matches:
1.)The Rockers fought the Rougeau Brothers to a double disqualification
2.)Koko B. Ware defeated Mike Williams
3.)The Brainbusters defeated Al Kinsey & Mario Mancini
4.)Hercules defeated Al Navarro
5.)Akeem defeated Tommy Causey
6.)Jim Duggan defeated Bob Blackburn

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. The match between the Rockers and Rougeau must have happened during a SNME taping because the apron has the SNME logo on it. Michaels shoulder blocks Jacques to start the match and followed up with a couple of dropkicks. Jannetty enters to hit a double dropkick on Jacques. We hear from the Hart Foundation who say they will come down on the Rougeau Brothers. Jannetty nearly pins Jacques with a roll up. The Hart Foundation makes their way down to ringside. Raymond pulls the top rope down and that causes Michaels to crash to the floor and is sent back first into the apron. Raymond follows up with a spinning back elbow back in the ring. Ray drops Shawn gut first across Jacques knee to keep control of the contest. Ray distracts the referee and thus Jannetty can’t tag in. Jimmy Hart tosses his megaphone in but that brings the Hart Foundation into the ring to throw the match out. This won’t get a rating since it was just a way to advance the feud, basically.

2. Brother Love’s guest this week was Jake Roberts. Jake says he has a team for the Survivor Series. He has Ken Patera, Tito Santana, B. Brian Blair and Jim Duggan! Duggan gets a USA chant going. Roberts says we all have fears and tells Love to think about that before leaving. That was a rather quick segment.

3. At the last SNME, Jake Roberts scared Andre the Giant with his snake. Looks like we’ve got a new feud going. Jake tossed the snake onto Andre to a huge ovation.

4. Duggan has a USA flag with him this week. Dino Bravo comes out with his own flag to distract Duggan during his match.

Final Thoughts:
Shouldn’t be all that surprising that the feature match lasted all of about three minutes and was more of an angle advancement. It is nice to get something other than a jobber match on the show, though. Still, not a lot going on this month heading into Survivor Series.

Thanks for reading.
