Written by: Bob Colling

World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date:
9/10/1988
From: Providence, RI

Matches:
1.)The British Bulldogs defeated Gene Ligon & Rusty Riddle
2.)Big Bossman defeated Paul Vandello
3.)Tito Santana defeated Trent Knight
4.)Rick Rude defeated Tommy Angel
5.)Ron Bass defeated Joe Cruz
6.)the Honkytonk Man defeated Dave Lanning
7.)the Hart Foundation defeated Tony Ulysses & Len Kruger

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Big Bossman continued his tradition of beating jobbers after the match.

2. Terry Taylor says that he will become the star of the WWF and there isn’t anything anybody can do about it. He is being called “Scary” Terry Taylor, by the way.

3. Hulk Hogan is declaring war on Jack Tunney and the WWF. Hogan believes he is champion until someone beats him for a three count. Hogan is going to give them a good dose of Hulkamania. I wonder if Hogan realizes that he is targeting his good friend Randy Savage with this promo.

4. After Rick Rude’s match, Jake Roberts ran down and attacked Rude ripping his tights off in the process. Rude had once again painted Jake’s wife’s face on his tights.

5. The Rougeau Brothers cut a promo during the Hart Foundation match. They have a surprise for the Hart Foundation, which they will reveal next week!

Final Thoughts:
Again, nothing going on here. There wasn’t even a main interview segment or anything. This was basically just a throwaway week with nothing going on.

Thanks for reading.
