World Wrestling Federation presents RAW
Date:
9/18/1995
From: Canton, OH

Matches:
1.) 1-2-3 Kid defeated Razor Ramon
2.) Tatanka & Kama defeated Savio Vega & Bob Holly
3.) Jean Pierre Laffite defeated Brian Walsh
4.) WWF World Tag Team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna defeated Men on a Mission in a non-title match

Angle Developments/Notes:

1.) Kid attacks Ramon before the bell with a series of kicks in the corner knocking Razor to the floor. Ramon returns and takes Kid to the top rope where he lays him across and delivers a kick to the midsection. Razor hits the middle rope fallaway slam for a two count. Razor works over Kid with a series of chops and hip tosses Kid out of the corner. Kid goes to the floor after a discus punch from Razor. Ramon plants Kid with a choke slam but only gets a near fall on the cover attempt. Ramon attempts a clothesline but Kid sidesteps the Bad Guy and sends him over the top to the floor. Kid hits a slingshot dropkick from the ring to the floor. Kid hits a spinning heel kick but Razor gets his foot on the bottom rope. Kid has a sleeper hold locked in and Ramon begins to fade. Ramon gets to his feet and breaks the hold with a back suplex. Razor works over Kid with a clothesline in the corner. They collide and the referee gets knocked to the floor as well. Dean Douglas comes out and leaps off the top rope to splash Ramon across the back! Razor is laid out in the middle of the ring and Kid slowly returns to the ring. Kid covers and gets the three count over Ramon! (**1/2. They worked pretty well and the finish is fine to put more heat on Douglas, who probably needs it at this point. A big victory for Kid who, even with the interference, needed a way to be seen as credible.)

2.) Dean Douglas provides us with the Report Card. Douglas gives the 1-2-3 Kid a grade of D because he thinks he actually won that match. Dean gives Ramon a grade of E because he tries to elevate by wrestling Dean Douglas. He gives himself a grade of A. He finishes off his grades with a N because at In Your House it will be a no brainer that he wins.

3.) Backstage, Razor Ramon cuts a promo on Dean Douglas. Ramon says that Dean Douglas has gotten his attention. Ramon says the classroom is going to be in the ring. Razor is going to carve Douglas up!

4.) An odd main event to feature two heel tag teams. Yokozuna and Mabel have a brief standoff. Mo and Owen kick off the contest shoving each other and trading strikes. Mo delivers a back elbow to knock Owen off his feet and get the advantage. Mo runs into a big boot and Owen comes out of the corner to hit a clothesline. Mo catches a charging Owen to hit a snap power slam. Mabel gets tagged in slams Owen down by his hair. Mabel attempts a splash in the corner but Owen moves and hammers away on Mabel before being shoved away. Owen gets kicked while running the ropes by Mabel to allow Mo to maintain control of the contest. Owen and Mo trade a couple of near falls. Owen sends Mo over the top to the floor and tags in Yokozuna. Yoko wants a piece of Mabel and they have a confrontation. Owen sends Mo into the ring steps and Mabel leaves the ring to protect Mo.

Yokozuna works overs Mo in the corner with several strikes. Owen and Mo attempt spinning heel kicks at the same time and they both crash to the canvas. Yoko and Mabel get tagged into the match and they begin to trade right hands. Mabel hits a leaping clothesline to knock Yokozuna down. Mabel press slams Owen into Yokozuna and a double clothesline knocks Yoko off his feet again. Yokozuna clotheslines Mo and Owen hits a missile dropkick for a two count. Owen plants Mo with a neck breaker and heads to the top again. Mo recovers and crotches Owen on the top rope! Mo hooks Owen and hits a superplex for a two count! Yokozuna knocks Mabel to the floor and that allows Yokozuna to leg drop Mo and Owen gets the pin on Mo. (**. A decent match between these two teams. The fans seemed to be behind the tag champs. Mo actually did a fine job of carrying the load for his team.) After the match, Mabel simply walks out on Mo, seemingly the end of the tag team or he just doesn’t want to deal with the champs.

5.) WWF World Champion Diesel and WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels cut a promo on Owen Hart and Yokozuna. Michaels calls Owen Hart a liar and says the trash talking comes to an end this Sunday at In Your House and is confident they will win the tag team titles. Diesel is coming home with his best friend Shawn Michaels. They are both sure that they will win the tag titles.

6.) Vince McMahon interviews the WWF World Tag Team Champions. Jim Cornette says that all the titles are on the line for the first time ever. Cornette reveals that if either Diesel or Shawn Michaels get pinned they lose their title. Cornette asks what happened the last time Diesel and Michaels were champions. They broke up! Cornette is trying to get some trust issues between the friends.

Final Thoughts:
A fine episode this week as the Kid/Ramon match was a good paced match and the main event had some solid wrestling thrown in. They did a good job hyping the pay per view with this go-home show as well, I thought.

Thanks for reading.
