Date:
9/12/1995
From: Philadelphia, PA

Matches:
1.) Tommy Dreamer defeated Dudley Dudley
2.) The Steiner Brothers defeated ECW Television Champion 2 Cold Scorpio & Chris Benoit

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) The Pitbulls join Joey Styles for an interview. They will be challenging Raven and Stevie Richards in a double dog collar match. Pitbulls says that Raven and Richards took advantage of them not being focused. Now, they are focused on winning the tag team titles. They are putting everything on the line in their match. If they are unable to win the tag titles they will split up as a tag team forever. “If I can’t be a pit bull, I’d rather die.”

2.) Cactus Jack shares some thoughts on Tommy Dreamer. Cactus says that Dreamer is an ignorant person and selfish too. Cactus mentions several wrestlers who’s bodies are damaged for their worth ethic. They are hardcore wrestlers and they give to the worthless fans who don’t care. He says that Raven has given Dreamer the chance to just walkaway. He loves Dreamer so much that he hit a DDT on the concrete floor at the ECW Arena. Cactus wants Tommy to answer his call.

3.) We see the finish of the 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Eddie Guerrero match where Scorpio won the ECW Television Championship.

4.) Taz is interviewed by Joey Styles who is returning to action. Taz says he is going to kick Scorpio’s ass.

5.) Benoit and Scott Steiner kick off the main event with Scott taking Benoit down to the canvas. Scott takes Benoit out of the corner with a hip toss. The match is clipped as Benoit takes Scott over with a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Scott hits a tilt a whirl back breaker and Benoit stumbles into his corner. Rick Steiner and Scorpio tag into the match with Rick working over Scorpio with overhand strikes. Scorpio gets a few chops in and hip tosses Rick followed by a dropkick. Scorpio scoop slams Rick but gets caught in midair with a press slam. Taz came out and confronted Scorpio at ringside. Rick avoids Scorpio in the corner and cleans house with clotheslines. Rick rams Benoit gut first into the corner while having Benoit over his shoulder. Benoit takes Rick over with a German suplex. Benoit and Scorpio have a few words as Scorpio wants to take care of business, apparently. Scott tosses Scorpio over with a suplex. Scorpio power bombs Scott after countering a power bomb. Benoit is getting annoyed with Scorpio for the lack of communication. Scott avoids a cross body and clotheslines Scorpio followed by a press slam. Scott clotheslines Scorpio over the top to the floor and Taz has a chair talking towards Scorpio.

Benoit clotheslines Rick and hits a top rope hurricanrana but only gets a near fall. Scorpio accidentally super kicks Benoit but doesn’t seem heartbroken about it. Benoit is pissed and they shove each other. Benoit drops Scorpio with a dragon suplex. Taz whacks Scorpio with the ECW Television Championship on the floor. Rick tosses Benoit with a release German suplex for a near fall. Scott hits a Samoan Drop off the middle rope but Benoit refuses to stay down. Steiner Brothers hit a top rope DDT and that puts Benoit away. (NR. Since it was clipped, I can’t give it a rating, but it was rather enjoyable segment. Steiner Brothers clicked very well in ECW, for sure.)

6.) The Gangsta are going to kick the Public Enemy’s ass, so they say. Sandman doesn’t think that Mikey Whipwreck is going to take the ECW World Championship from him. Sandman says that Public Enemy is busted since he is going to teaming with the Gangstas. Mikey Whipwreck says he is going to become a man.

Final Thoughts:
A rare week where there isn’t much going on in ECW television wise. Still, for a seemingly filler week of television, it was a decent program with the highlights of the main event being enjoyable.

Thanks for reading.
