Matches:
1.) Johnny B. Badd, Marcus Alexander Bagwell & Tom Zenk defeated Scotty Flamingo, Greg Valentine & Dick Slater
2.) The Barbarian defeated Kip Abee
3.) Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton defeated The Steiner Brothers

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Jim Ross and Teddy Long are in studio to rundown the action for the show. Long believes that Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton are a good bet to beat the Steiner Brothers. Long also talks about Sting and Jake Roberts, which could be the match of the year for him.

2.) Late into the six man tag, Flamingo decks Valentine on accident. Badd nails Flamingo with a left hand and Zenk is able to pin Flamingo.

3.) The Barbarian is being presented as the next challenger to WCW World Champion Ron Simmons. He won his squash match very easily following a big boot to the face.

4.) Scott and Anderson kick off the tag team main event. Anderson controls Scott with a side headlock but Scott quickly counters with a top wriest lock. Scott fireman carries Anderson to the canvas and controls his left arm on the mat until Anderson reaches the ropes. Arn yanks on Scott’s arm but is decked by a forearm from Scott. Anderson snap mares Scott and delivers a few stomps but misses a knee drop. Scott focuses his attack on the right knee of Anderson. Rick gets tagged in and acts like he’s going to stomp on Anderson’s groin but the referee stops that from happening. Arn gets to the ropes and pulls himself up in the corner. Rick blocks a boot and circles the ring before tripping Anderson to the mat and locks in a half Boston Crab. Scott tags back in to keep Anderson on the mat by twisting his leg. Anderson kicks Scott and tags in Eaton who rams Scott face first into the corner followed by overhand strikes. Scott plants Eaton with a tilt a whirl slam and puts a Boston Crab on Eaton. Scott tags in Rick and he puts a knee lock on Eaton. Eaton punches Rick to get momentum. Eaton goes for a sunset flip but Rick blocks it with a right hand. Rick clotheslines Anderson and does the same to Eaton as we go to commercial break.

Eaton decks Scott with a right hand to stagger him followed by a one lift. Eaton puts a half nelson on Scott but that gets countered with an overhead suplex. Rick and Anderson tag in to continue the contest. Rick runs over Anderson with a shoulder block and catches Anderson with a power slam for a two count as Eaton broke up the count. Anderson slams Rick and Eaton goes to the top but Scott comes in and sends Anderson to the floor. Scott tosses Eaton off the top and Rick catches him with another powerslam. Rick flips Anderson into the ring from the apron and Scott stays in the ring yanking on the bad right leg. Anderson kicks Scott away and Scott hits the ring post shoulder first. Michael Hayes rams Scott shoulder first into the ring post while the referee was distracted. Anderson brings Scott back into the ring and stomps away on him. Anderson controls the left arm of Scott with a standing arm lock. Scott decks Anderson with a forearm but Eaton tags in and continues to work over the injured right arm of Scott. Eaton hits an arm breaker. Eaton and Anderson continue to beat on Scott and Anderson focuses on the left arm. Anderson connects with a hammerlock scoop slam before tagging in Eaton. Eaton keeps Scott on the canvas with a modified arm bar. Rick distracts the referee and allows Anderson to stomp on Scott a few times. Scott powers out of the hod and slams Eaton to the canvas! Scott punches Anderson and here comes Rick! Rick cleans house with right hands and backdrops Anderson. All four men are in the ring brawling. Rick power slams Anderson again and goes for a clothesline but Anderson backdrops Rick to the floor. Scott Steiner goes to the floor to attack Hayes and prevent a sneak attack. Eaton comes off the top to hit the Alabama Jam on Rick and Anderson gets the pin fall! (***1/4. This was a really solid tag team match and a huge victory for Eaton/Anderson against the Steiner Brothers. They told a few different stories and the finish was pretty cool, too. I’d watch more of these guys.)

5.) Michael Hayes, Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton are interviewed since they are the number one contenders now. Hayes says that everything he says comes true. They are now the number one contenders for the tag titles. Hayes doesn’t seem to care much for his former buddy Terry Gordy and says they are going to win the tag titles from Terry Gordy and Steve Williams. They are going to rule the 90s.

Final Thoughts:
I enjoyed the episode this week as the tag team match delivered a high quality bout. Barbarian as a top contender to the WCW World Championship is an interesting choice. There’s so many top guys to pick from and they went with Barbarian.
