World Championship Wrestling presents Main Event
Date: 6/5/1994
From: Atlanta, GA

Matches:
1.) Dustin Rhodes & Johnny B. Badd fought Pretty Wonderful to a time limit draw

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Rhodes and Roma start the main event tag match this week with some stalling. Roma takes Rhodes down to the mat by his arm and Orndorff comes off the top with an elbow strike. Orndorff keeps control with an arm bar looking for a submission, but Rhodes isn’t going to give in. Badd tags in and works over Orndorff with strikes and a hip toss. Rhodes comes off the top to deliver an elbow strike to Orndorff and keeps a hammerlock on Orndorff. Badd returns to the match and keeps a headlock on Orndorff until Orndorff delivers a kick to break free. Badd arm drags Roma to the mat a few times to keep control of the contest. Badd works over Roma in the corner with strikes and tags in Rhodes. Rhodes takes Roma to the mat and delivers a leg drop. Rhodes keeps arm control on Roma before tagging in Badd. Badd takes Roma down to the mat and locks in a spinning toe hold. Roma clubs Badd over the back and tags in Orndorff. Orndorff gets taken down by Badd on a sunset flip. Orndorff drives Badd down to the mat face first and keeps the advantage with a chin lock. Orndorff keeps a front face lock on Badd until Roma drags Badd to the corner. There’s less than a minute remaining in the time limit. That seems quick.

Roma delivers shots on Badd in the corner and keeps a front face lock on Badd. Badd tries to tag in Rhodes, but Roma hits a scoop slam only to miss an elbow drop. Rhodes gets tagged in and hammers away on Orndorff hitting a dropkick. Rhodes slams both Orndorff and Roma, but the time limit has expired. After the match, all four men are in the ring brawling. Badd is sent to the floor and Roma beats on Rhodes. Badd punches Orndorff in midair to save Rhodes from a double team attack. Roma and Orndorff are sent into each other and dropkicked to the floor. (*1/2. There was no way that the match went ten minutes. The action was rather repetitive and wasn’t all that entertaining, really. The draw was lame and again since it wasn’t really ten minutes it didn’t sit well with me at all.)

Final Thoughts:
The feature match didn’t deliver much for me this week. It looks like Pretty Wonderful is in line to have a strong push in WCW, which I could get behind.
