World Wrestling Entertainment presents Heat
Date: 12/15/2002
From: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Matches:
1.) Jeff Hardy defeated D’Lo Brown
Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) It’s the same night as Armageddon, so we’re likely going to be getting a lot of interviews for the pay-per-view.
2.) Backstage, WWE Women’s Champion Victoria is interviewed by Lilian Garcia regarding the triple threat match. Victoria laughs with Steven Richards before saying that Trish Stratus and Jacqueline think she’s a psycho bitch now, they should wait to see what she’ll do to retain the title tonight. She then walks off and Richards laughs.
3.) Backstage, Brock Lesnar arrived to the arena and Josh Matthews interviewed Lesnar. Lesnar asks who Matthews is. Lesnar grabs Matthews by the shoulder and says he’s going to make an impact tonight.
4.) Brown gets a headlock on Hardy and follows up with a shoulder block. Hardy hip tosses Brown followed by a hurricanrana to send Brown backing up into a corner to regroup. Brown works over Hardy with a strike, but Hardy nails Brown with a spin kick. Hardy fakes a crossbody off the middle rope and hits a dropkick instead. Brown plants Hardy with a powerbomb and stomps Hardy. Brown clubs Hardy over the back and a kick to the ribs. Brown drops Hardy with a right hand. Brown pulls Hardy up and misses a clothesline. Hardy gets a sloppy sunset flip pin, but Brown switches to a Boston Crab attempt. Hardy reaches the ropes to break the hold. Brown drives Hardy down with a backbreaker. Brown leaps off the middle rope to deliver a forearm drop for a two count. Brown plants Hardy with a swinging side slam for a two count. Brown sends Hardy into the corner, but Hardy hits Whisper In The Wind. Hardy continues with a jawbreaker and a leg drop to Brown’s lower midsection. Hardy hits a leg drop and has a cover on Brown for a two count. Hardy drops Brown with a clothesline and heads to the top rope. Hardy leaps off missing the Swanton Bomb. Brown forearms Hardy on the lower back and crotches Hardy on the top rope. Brown tries for a suplex, but Hardy shoves Brown off. Hardy hits a crossbody off the top and rolls through to pin Brown for the win. (*1/4. That was just way too sloppy to enjoy it. It feels like Hardy has completely checked out at this point and isn’t even giving his best effort.)
Final Thoughts:
Safe to say this is a completely skippable show leading into the Armageddon pay-per-view.
Thanks for reading.

Skippable show but not a skippable review.
