Footage from last week where Ruckus sold out and handed the NWA Wildside Heavyweight Championship to Jeff G. Bailey starts the program.
Opening Contest: South Side Trash (Razor & Rowdy) vs. Hot & Heavy (Frenchy Martin & Silky Boom Boom): Rivera and Rowdy kickoff the match with Rivera shoving Rowdy to the mat out of a lockup attempt. Razor enters the match and is quickly met with a dropkick by Rivera. Boom Boom tags into the match and leg drops Razor after a drop toe hold. Boom Boom continues with a dropkick, but Razor clotheslines Boom Boom from behind. Boom Boom is briefly attacked on the floor. Razor controls Boom Boom on the mat with a wrist lock. Rocky enters the match without a tag and maintains arm control. Rowdy nails Boom Boom with a short arm clothesline and taunts Rivera. Rowdy plants Boom Boom with a side slam for a two count. Rivera distracts the referee while Boom Boom is worked over on the mat. Rowdy continues with a rolling neck snap and an elbow drop for a two count. Razor enters without a tag and keeps a sleeper on Boom Boom. The show goes to commercial.
Boom Boom tries for a cover on Razor, but only manages a two count. Boom Boom yanks Razor down to the mat to counter a backdrop attempt. Rivera gets the hot tag and cleans house with strikes and elbows. Rivera takes the briefcase from the manager, but Rowdy whacks Rivera from behind with the briefcase. The referee is dealing with a brawl on the floor. Boom Boom superkicks Rowdy and rolls Rivera on top leading to the three count. (*. I’m glad they continued the feud from last week, but the match wasn’t all that interesting. Rivera and Boom Boom could be an entertaining duo. Boom Boom seems to be on his third character development already. They didn’t mention his group with Mark and Swimmer. That might be dropped.)
Backstage, Bill Behrens meets up with Al Getz and Chance Williams. Behrens thanks Gets for his work on commentary. Behrens tells Chance they are leaving NCW in the past. Behrens is pushing for NWA. Getz counted how many times Chance said NCW. Behrens needs Chance to be onboard with the switch. Behrens knows that Chance is trying, but asks for better effort. Chance gets frustrated with Getz after Behrens walks off. They both acknowledge that Behrens is the “boss”.
In the ring, Romeo Bliss calls Bill Behrens a self righteous SOB. Romeo thinks that Chance’s head is up Behrens ass. The microphone is silenced as the story of Romeo being censored continues.
Second Contest: Romeo Bliss vs. Pete Platinum: A censor bar appears on the screen whenever Romeo moves his hips. Platinum shoves Romeo out of the corner and plays to the crowd. The commentators are blaming Romeo for their time slot switch to 2:30am instead of 11am. Romeo controls Platinum with a wrist lock, but Platinum snapmares Romeo to the mat. Platinum continues to control Romeo with a wrist lock. Romeo counters with a rollup for a two count. Platinum arm drags Bliss to the mat, but doesn’t followup quickly. Platinum hip tosses Bliss. Platinum hip tosses and arm drags Bliss. Platinum backdrops Bliss coming off the ropes and dropkicks Bliss to the floor. Platinum shoulder blocks Bliss, but is dropped throat first over the top rope. Bliss stomps Platinum on the mat and keeps wrist control. Bliss stops Platinum with a strike to the midsection. Bliss backdrops Platinum to the apron. Platinum heads to the top rope hitting a missile dropkick. Platinum chops Bliss in the corner and delivers a clothesline. Platinum drives Bliss down with a jumping jawbreaker for a near fall. Bliss drives Platinum with the Heartbreaker (cutter) for the win. (*. A lifeless crowd for the match. Apparently Bliss is more of a babyface now? I guess his attitude is something the crowd enjoys. I thought he’d be a better heel.)
Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey cuts a promo with NWA Wildside Heavyweight Champion Ruckus and Onyx standing next to him. Bailey brags about Ruckus being associated with him now. Bailey asks where Chance was when Ruckus was in jail because Bailey got Ruckus out of jail. Bailey says that Onyx is the real rookie of the year. Bailey is annoyed with all the attention that AJ Styles gets from Chance. Bailey says that Ruckus was the protector of Styles for Chance. Bailey continues to call Chance and Styles life partners. Bailey promises that racism will end and these two will bring the NWA Wildside to greatness. They tear down an NCW banner and puts over NWA some more. Bailey believes they are unstoppable. They are like God and there’s nothing we can do about it. They are censoring God. Ruckus chimes in and says it’s always about the money. Ruckus doesn’t care if the fans cheer or boo it’s all about the paycheck. Ruckus says his paycheck is getting heavier by the second with Bailey and Onyx next to him. Ruckus says hardcore is his business and business is picking up.
In the ring, Bill Behrens is with the New South. Behrens tries to speak, but is quickly cutoff by Bad Attitude. Behrens says the main event will be a title match. Well, it’s the Wildside tag titles on the line.
Main Event: The New South (Kory Williams & Ashley Hudson) vs. NWA Wildside Tag Team Championships Bad Attitude (Rick Michaels & David Young): All four men brawl in the ring to kickoff the match. Michaels dropkicks Williams while Young backdrops Hudson to send the challengers to the floor to regroup. Young and Hudson kickoff the match legally. Hudson complains of a hair pull in the corner, but that never happened. Young backs Hudson into a corner, and Hudson continues to complain about a hair pull that never happened. Young backs Hudson into a corner, but backs off and Hudson continues to complain. Young slaps Hudson and arm drags Hudson to the mat. Michaels tags into the match and Hudson is met with a double backdrop. Michaels keeps Hudson on the mat. Young runs around ringside and Williams chases after Young. Williams steps on Hudson in the ring a few times to add some comedy to the mat. Williams stood on Hudson for a moment. Hudson and Williams shove each other. Michaels rams New South into each other face first. Michaels yanks Hudson out of the corner to slam Hudson to the mat. Michaels slams Hudson off the ropes leading to Williams tagging into the match. Michaels stomps Williams in the corner several times. Michaels clotheslines Williams followed by a bulldog out of the corner. Michaels delivers a forearm drop for a two count. Williams tries to slide out of the ring and hits the ring post groin first. Williams is yanked into the post by Bad Attitude and they press Williams groin into the post!

Hudson continues to be double teamed with an elbow strike. Michaels keeps a sleeper on Hudson as the announcer says there is five minutes remaining in the time limit and that ten minutes has elapsed. Michaels clotheslines Williams and tries to tag in Young, but is stopped. Michaels tries for a sunset flip, but only manages a two count. There is two minutes left in the match. Michaels hits a double DDT. Young gets the hot tag and cleans house with strikes. Young rams New South into each other. Williams is trapped in the ropes as Young hits a hurricanrana on Hudson. Michaels punches Williams several times in the ropes and clotheslines Williams over the top to the floor. Young pummels Hudson with right hands in the corner. Michaels backs Hudson into a corner as Young hits a suplex on Hudson. Michaels beats on Williams outside the ring. Williams pulls Hudson to the floor and the time limit expires to end the match. (**. The draw finish is not a surprise considering these two are scheduled to compete at the next big event in April. The promos between these teams have been a bit tense, and thus the comedy inserted in the match didn’t work for me. It’s also bizarre for Bad Attitude to suddenly be a face team. I’m still interested in the match taking place in April.)
Rick Michaels cuts a promo saying that five more minutes and their asses belong to NCW. That’s not going to happen as the show comes to an end.
Final Thoughts:
There’s been a major shift for Wildside with Behrens and Chance feuding over control of the company seemingly out of nowhere. One week Behrens is just the color commentator and the next week he’s Chance’s boss. As a viewer, it’s a little bizarre for such a shift in storytelling. I can get behind Bailey’s new group with Ruckus and Onyx being the focus since K-Krush is gone from the promotion.
Thanks for reading.
