Matches:
1.) WWF European Champion Test defeated Al Fleming
2.) Essa Rios defeated Samoa Joe
3.) Christian defeated Grandmaster Sexay

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Al Flemming is seemingly dressed up as a convict. Test pummels Fleming in the corner with strikes and stomps. Test hits a running clothesline in the corner. Fleming elbows Test in the corner, but runs into a full nelson slam. Fleming bails to the floor, but is pulled back up to the apron. Fleming drops Test throat first over the top rope to gain control. Test stops Fleming with a short arm clothesline. Test sends Fleming into the corner, but misses a splash. Fleming climbs to the top and is caught by Test. Test slams Fleming to the mat and misses a clothesline. Fleming continues with strikes, but is met with a big boot. Test sets Fleming up and hits the pumphandle slam for the win. (*. Fleming did basically nothing. Test domination is the right move. Test looks like an absolute star in the making to me.)

2.) Joe controls Rios with a few strikes and a wrist lock followed by a chop. Rios avoids a snapmare and a hip toss. Joe avoids a hurricanrana, but Rios arm drags Joe for a near fall. Rios works over Joe with strikes in the corner. Joe sends Rios chest first into the corner. Joe tosses Rios overhead with a suplex followed by stomps and a snap suplex. Rios head scissors Joe and hits a dropkick sending Joe to the floor. Rios somersaults over the ring post to take Joe out with a dive on the floor. Rios rolls Joe into the ring and delivers a leg drop followed by strikes on the mat for a two count. Joe tries for a powerbomb, but Rios counters with a DDT. Rios heads to the top rope hitting a moonsault for the win. (**. A solid enhancement match. It’s obvious even in 2001 that Samoa Joe is going to be a good wrestler at the very least.)

3.) Christian controls Sexay with a wrist lock, but Sexay counters with a headlock and a shoulder block. Sexay runs the ropes and ducks a clothesline before ducking a crossbody and Christian rolls to the floor. Sexay strikes Christian followed by a slingshot into the ring. Sexay atomic drops Christian and taunts Christian hurting. Sexay boots a charging Christian in the corner and dances on the middle rope before hitting a dropkick for a two count. Christian eye rakes Sexay and sends Sexay into the ring post shoulder first. Christian continues with strikes and hits a side Russian leg sweep for a two count. Christian crotches Sexay on the top turnbuckle and tries for a suplex, but Sexay fights off. Sexay hits a middle rope bulldog. Sexay decks Christian with a few strikes and misses a clothesline. Sexay hits a kick to the side of Christian’s head for a two count. Sexay pummels Christian with strikes, but Christian takes Sexay down and puts his feet on the ropes to gain the cheap victory. (**. It’s kind of a big match for Metal level, but they did a good job of producing a quality match. The action was pretty consistent and I enjoyed it.)

Final Thoughts:
A good episode of Metal this week with a strong feature match and an enhancement match featuring Samoa Joe was cool to see.
