Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Vince McMahon, Jim Duggan, Hillbilly Jim, Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect are on the panel this week. Heenan talks about not liking to address Randy Savage as the WWF World Champion and insists he’s a financial consultant for Flair and nothing more.
2.) The panel discuss the proposed match between Papa Shango and Ultimate Warrior. McMahon wonders if Warrior could overcome Shango. Duggan thinks Warrior could do it physically, but mentally could be a challenge. Heenan makes a joke about the President throwing up in Japan, but Duggan takes exception to it.
3.) The panel talks about the issue between Nailz and Big Bossman. McMahon thinks Perfect had one of the rudest conversations with Bossman he’s ever heard. After seeing Nailz compete from Superstars, the panel talk about the brutal beating Nailz issued to the enhancement guy. Duggan hopes that Bossman will combat Nailz. Perfect doesn’t think Bossman will return to the WWF. Heenan admits that Bossman is dumb enough to return to the WWF.
4.) The panel take some time to talk about the WBF and promote the pay per view event for the bodybuilding promotion.
5.) The panel discusses the feud between WWF World Champion Randy Savage and Ric Flair. McMahon notes that Savage admits to bending the rules, but thinks it’s okay depending on who Savage is in the ring with. Heenan says Flair is the only man deserving of a championship opportunity. Duggan says that Flair can’t fight a lick. Heenan makes a joke that Duggan could never be champion because they have to sign autographs.
6.) Tornado plays to the crowd and Repo almost sneaks attack, but Tornado turns around quick enough. Tornado backs Repo against the ropes and cleanly backs off. Tornado backs Repo into a corner and avoids a sneak attack. Tornado slams Repo out of the corner by his feet. Repo bails to the floor to regroup. Repo eye rakes Tornado and delivers a few strikes in the corner. Repo chokes Tornado in the corner and delivers a few strikes. Tornado hip tosses Repo out of the corner followed by a few clotheslines. Repo tries to leave the ring, but Tornado grabbed Repo’s foot before dropping Repo to the floor. Tornado misses a discus punch and hits the ring post. Repo takes control with strikes in the corner and hooks Tornado’s arm over the top rope while striking Tornado. Repo drives Tornado down with a backbreaker, but misses an elbow drop. Tornado hammers away on Repo several times and decks Repo with a discus strike. Tornado puts a claw on Repo, but doesn’t get a submission in the corner. Repo grabs his hook in the corner and decks Tornado to cause a disqualification. (*. Tornado is literally doing nothing in the WWF and is still a popular wrestler. Repo has a feud, so why not put Repo over instead of a DQ? Repo pinning Tornado, even if cheating, would enhance his chances to be a viable opponent for Bulldog.)
Final Thoughts:
It’s a skippable episode this week. There wasn’t much for original programming.
