They both attempt handspring back elbows, but Onyx messes his up. They both had their hands on each other, but the time limit expires. (*1/2. If they were going for a ten-minute time limit deal they didn’t even make it to eight minutes. The finish would have been interesting had they not messed it up. Onyx is still super green, but Skyfire clearly has ability and his move set is enjoyable.)
Romeo Bliss comes out to cut a promo with Tim Dix in the ring. Dix notes that Bliss isn’t booked for Hardcore Hell 2000. Bill Behrens comes out and tells Dix that Bliss isn’t booked and doesn’t have interview time. Behrens proceeds to leave the ring. Bailey literally puts ketchup on Taylor’s head and the referee calls for the bell. (*1/2. For a first blood match they mostly wrestled this as a regular match. Two guys trying to make each other bleed should be much more of a brawl and usage of weapons would occur. The ketchup usage was humorous. I hate first blood matches as a stipulation, though.)

Bailey gets in the ring nad tips over the ladder sending Styles over the ropes and lands onto the table. The title fell and landed on Golden. The referee is woken up and Golden wins the title. (**. Alright, I can see how this is going and I’m already getting a bit annoyed. The heels winning the matches and doing so in completely fluke ways is a bit disappointing. If you’re going to make the heel group strong, make them strong with actual wins. I understand protecting a guy like Styles, but it isn’t necessary to do in a ladder match.) After the match, Golden powerbombs Styles through the table since it didn’t break the first time.
Tim Dix is in the ring with Steve ‘Chance’ Martin to provide some announcements. Martin welcomes everyone to the show. Martin says that tonight Golden is going to defend the TV Championship against Jesse Taylor. Martin notes that David Young isn’t here and calls out Rick Michaels to join the segment. That was pointless.)

Kory says they are the measuring stick to great tag teams and says the fans are honored to see the NWA Georgia Tag Team Champions one more time. Kory goes over the special referee for the match and says he thought Chris Champion was dead. Kory is confident that they’ll take care of Romeo Bliss and Rick Michaels tonight. Fifth Contest: The New South (Ashley Hudson & Kory Williams) vs. Rick Michaels & Romeo Bliss: Michaels and Bliss start off with backdrops to send the New South to the floor where Bill Behrens is freaking out. Bliss and Hudson brawl up the entrance ramp. Michaels slams Williams and hits a frog splash off the top. Champion doesn’t turnaround to make the count and instead spits something into Michaels face. Hudson catapults Michaels into Williams hitting a flatliner for the win. (*1/2. Honestly, this felt like it took forever and I disliked it. I could tell that Champion was going to turn as the vibe felt off. The arena belongs to NWA now and it looks like NCW could be fully gone at this point. I wish the Rock n Roll Express were in the match instead of the New South.) After the match, Bliss has been busted wide open and they demand the NCW banner be torn down. Champion says NCW was a dump and puts down Michaels home. Champion wasn’t going to allow Michaels to destroy an area he helped build. Behrens officially dubs the area NWA Wildside.

Bailey off the apron to the floor. Golden rams Taylor into the corner face first. Bailey accidentally grabs Golden’s boot and Taylor hits a belly to belly suplex to pickup the win and title. (NR. I mean, it’s still kind of a fluke win. I’m not sure if Taylor winning the title is a great choice.)

The referee tries to put out the fire, and does so. Wrenn attempts to leave the cage, but Dazz flips Wrenn over the top of the cage and Wrenn crashes through two tables on the floor. Dazz tosses Wrenn into the ring and pours lighter fluid onto a chair on Wrenn. Dazz lights the chair on fire and splashes onto Wrenn. Dazz covers and pins Wrenn for the win. (***. I’m no rocket scientist, but Dazz hitting a splash onto a flaming chair didn’t add any extra damage to Wrenn since Dazz is the one landing on the fire. So, that didn’t make much sense to me. The table spot on the floor should have been the finish. This was a fun match and flew by. It was the one match I was most looking forward to and it delivered a quality bout, but nothing mind blowing amazing.)
Final Thoughts:
It’s a disappointing show, I’d say. The undercard didn’t deliver. The New South/Michaels & Bliss match felt like a drag and took forever. The main event delivered, but wasn’t a show saving performance. I’ve got to give this show a thumbs down. Wildside TV is consistently good, but the big events continue to be disappointing thus far in their existence.
Thanks for reading.
