THE RESULTS:

  1. Jushin “Thunder” Liger defeated The Lightning Kid in a singles match when Liger pinned Kid following a Shooting Star Press off the top rope.
  2. Gary Hart Hypes Up the Champs: Backstage, Gary Hart was deadly serious, standing proudly beside Cactus Jack and Sabu, the current WCW Tag Team Champions. Hart promised that the future of tag teams was standing right here with him, whether The Love Machines, World Championship Wrestling, or the pro wrestling world at large likes it or not! Tonight, The Deadly Duo were going to live up to their name in the Falls Count Anywhere match. God be with the challengers… Cactus Jack and Sabu didn’t ned to say a word, the look in their eyes and tone in Gary Hart’s voice said it all.
  3. The Deadly Duo (Cactus Jack & Sabu) w/ Gary Hart defeated The Love Machines (2 Cold Scorpio & Art Barr) in a Falls Count Anywhere match for the WCW Tag Team Championship when Jack pinned Barr following a Cactus Elbow off of some backstage scaffolding. Cactus Jack & Sabu were able to successfully retain the WCW Tag Team Championship.
  4. Steven Regal’s PPV Open Challenge: Steven Regal made his entrance and yet again issued an open challenge. Though, he admitted to some wrongdoing after each of his open challenges thus far, this one was going to be different! He vowed to not exact any sort of ‘revenge’ after the match tonight. No tomfoolery! Whether he wins or he loses tonight, he will do so, as a man! Then, Bryan Clark’s music hit…
  5. Bryan Clark defeated Steven Regal in an Open Challenge singles match when Regal got himself intentionally disqualified following a blatant use of brass knuckles.
  6. Clark on the Chase: After taking the brass knuckles to the stomach, Bryan Clark freakishly recovered and chased Steven Regal all the way to the backstage area.
  7. Chris Benoit defeated “Stunning” Steve Austin w/ Paul E. Dangerously in a singles match for the WCW Television Championship when Benoit forced Austin to submit with a Crossface. Chris Benoit was able to successfully capture the WCW Television Championship.
  8. The Celebration: It was a major title change moment here, and Chris Benoit made it count. After defeating “Stunning” Steve Austin, he was handed the WCW Television Championship belt for the very first time and wasted no time soaking in the spotlight.
  9. “Ravishing” Rick Rude defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat in a singles match for the WCW United States Championship when Rude pinned Steamboat following outside interference by Dustin Rhodes. Dustin Rhodes made a surprise appearance and attacked Steamboat with a low blow on the apron while the referee was distracted with Paul E. Dangerously on the opposite apron. This left Steamboat open for the Rude Awakening. Rick Rude was able to successfully retain the WCW United States Championship.
  10. The Assault Continues: The match may have ended, but the fight certainly didn’t. Dustin Rhodes launched into a brutal post-match beatdown on his former tag team partner, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. The crowd’s reaction flipped instantly as Dustin Rhodes dragged Ricky Steamboat back to his feet, only to slam him back down, and stomp down on him. Referees rushed down the ramp, trying to restore order, but Dustin Rhodes made sure to leave a lasting mark before finally exiting with no remorse.
  11. Big Van Vader defeated Johnny B. Badd in a singles match when Vader pinned Badd following a Power Bomb.
  12. The Steiners are Coming for the Top Spot: Missy Hyatt caught up with Rick & Scott Steiner ahead of their four-way tag team match up next. They said that they were looking forward to this one, because it is just the next stepping stone on their way to the top of the tag team division once again! Once they beat the other three teams tonight, it’ll only be a matter of time before they’re holding tag team gold. They are up for the challenge and ready to make the climb again!
  13. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated The Dangerous Alliance (Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton) w/ Paul E. Dangerously, The York Foundation (Tommy Rich & Richard Morton) w/ Alexandra York, and Kendall & Barry Windham in a four-way tag team match when Scott pinned Rich following a Frankensteiner off the top rope.
  14. That Big Fight Feel: Before a single punch was thrown, you could feel it in the air. The company went big on making clear this was a huge match for WCW. The lights dimmed, the crowd rose, and the atmosphere in the arena shifted as Sting and Lex Luger made their entrances, one after the other, each met with a wall of sound. This wasn’t just about the title or a grudge, it was about history. When the bell rang and the two former best friends went nose-to-nose, it was the kind of moment that gets replayed in montages and remembered for years.
  15. Sting defeated Lex Luger w/ Harley Race in a singles match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship when Sting forced Luger to submit with the Scorpion Deathlock. Sting was able to successfully capture the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
