Raven splashes Jones and hits a bulldog out of the corner for a near fall. Jones fights back with a swinging neckbreaker. Raven plants Jones with the Evenflow DDT for the win. (1/2*. Jones did not look good here. Jones seemed slow and wasn’t in the right position for a few spots for Raven’s offense.)
3.) Lynn takes Daniels down, but is kicked away. Daniels gets out of a head scissors and puts a headlock on Lynn. Lynn forearms free, but Daniels shoulder blocks Lynn. Daniels nails Lynn with a heel kick. Daniels scoop slams Lynn and hits a slingshot leg drop from the apron. Daniels tries for a cover, but Lynn kicks out at two. Daniels forearms Lynn a few times, but misses a clothesline and Lynn hits a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Lynn rams Daniels into the corner and hits a back suplex. Lynn covers for a two count. Lynn kicks Daniels on the mat to keep the advantage. Lynn locks in a Gory Special, but Daniels breaks free. Lynn counters a hurricanrana with a sit down powerbomb for a two count. Daniels punches Lynn several times and delivers a few clotheslines. Daniels hits a tilt a whirl slam. Daniels elbow drops Lynn on the lower back. Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever to Lynn’s lower back. Daniels puts a bow and arrow on Lynn, but doesn’t get a submission. Daniels rams Lynn into the corner, and dumps Lynn to the apron. Lynn leg drops Daniels over the middle rope from the apron and hits a tornado DDT for the win. (**1/2. A good match and a good showing for both men. Daniels is such a great fit for the Light Heavyweight division it’s a shame he didn’t get a shot during this era, at all.)
4.) Funaki and Morgan kickoff the tag match. Funaki delivers a shoulder block and a chop. Funaki dropkicks Morgan before tagging in Taka. Taka kicks Morgan and keeps wrist control. Thompson tags into the match and manages to clothesline Taka. Thompson misses a clothesline and Taka connects with a spinning heel kick. Funaki strikes Thompson several times, but Morgan delivers a knee strike from the apron to allow Thompson to get control. Morgan enters and dropkicks a seated Funaki for a near fall. Funaki kicks Morgan, but is met with a drop toe hold. Morgan tags in Thompson to keep control with a strike to the midsection. Thompson elbows Funaki coming off the ropes followed by a forearm. Morgan kicks Funaki over the back and eye rakes Funaki to the mat. Morgan scoop slams Funaki followed by a leg drop for a two count. Morgan tags in Thompson and Thompson slams Funaki before missing a top rope moonsault. Funaki crawls to the corner and tags in Taka. Taka cleans house with kicks and drop toe holds Morgan. Funaki puts a chin lock on Morgan to allow Taka to deliver a dropkick to the face. Morgan kicks Funaki and powerbombs Taka for a two count. Morgan tries for a slam, but Taka counters with the Michinoku Driver to win the match. (*1/2. Nothing too much going on here. Morgan came across better than his partner did. If WWF ever wanted to introduce a tag team with a surprise win on a show such as Metal, Kaientai would be perfect for it.)
Final Thoughts:
Aside from Daniels/Lynn there wasn’t much going on here, but it wasn’t a bad show by any means. These are always a breeze to watch no matter what they put on usually.
