Matches:
1.) WWF Hardcore Champion Big Show defeated Billy Gunn to retain the title
2.) Taka Michinoku defeated Crash Holly
3.) APA (Bradshaw & Faarooq) defeated X-Factor (X-Pac & Justin Credible)

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) At WWF New York, Grandmaster Sexay and Steve Blackman are hanging out. Sexay wants Blackman to wear his shirt when they go out and dance. Blackman is focusing on commentary and hasn’t been more serious about anything in his life. Blackman practices a few commentary lines as Sexay leaves the room.

2.) Gunn avoids Show’s sneak attack and delivers a few strikes for the advantage. Show drives Gunn down to the mat with a powerslam. Show chops Gunn in the corner and decks Gunn with a right hand. Show delivers a headbutt to drop Gunn to the mat and continues with a knee drop. Gunn tries to fight back with strikes, but Show continues with a headbutt and knee lifts in the corner. Gunn charges out of the corner, but is taken down to the mat. Show misses an elbow drop coming off the ropes. Gunn hammers away on Show, but is caught on a crossbody attempt. Show tries for the Showstopper, but Gunn wiggles free and dropkicks Show to the corner. Gunn ducks a clothesline and plants Show with a DDT for a near fall. Show stops Gunn coming off the ropes and hits a chokeslam for the win. (*1/2. A sprint of a match and it wasn’t too bad of a bout. Show looks to be in better shape and working better than he had been previously. A clean finish is always a good thing, too. Though, it’s a little weird that there was zero hardcore wrestling for a hardcore title match.)

3.) Steve Blackman and Grandmaster Sexay are interviewed on the stage at WWF New York by Michael Cole and Tazz. Sexay does his dances and Blackman displays his kendo stick twirling. Sexay talks about Scotty 2 Hotty being on the mend from a broken ankle. Sexay says Hotty is about a month away from returning to action. Blackman thinks if Michael Cole can do commentary than he can do it. Sexay talks about Shane McMahon and WCW. Sexay doesn’t know what’s up with WCW. Blackman hasn’t talked to Shane, yet. Tazz bring sup Trish Stratus and Blackman having something going on. Blackman thinks that Trish realized that the lethal weapon meant more than one thing. Cole asks how they got together as a team. Sexay says that Blackman may look like a white man, but he dances like a black man. Sexay is going to work with Trish and she’s going to be dancing down the aisle with them.

4.) Holly and Taka trade hammerlocks until Taka gets wrist control. Holly counters into a headlock, but comes off the ropes to shoulder block Taka. Holly continues with a clothesline and a tilt a whirl head scissors. Taka nails Holly with a spinning heel kick. Taka controls Holly on the mat with strikes on the mat. Taka heads to the top rope, but is met with a dropkick in midair. Taka boots Holly in the corner, but ducks a clothesline. Taka spikes Holly with the Michinoku Driver to win the match. (*. There wasn’t much here for exciting offense between two Lightweights, so that’s a bit disappointing.)

5.) Triple H shares comments about his torn quad injury. HHH tore the quad on RAW on Monday. HHH had surgery on Wednesday. HHH will be on crutches for six weeks and Dr. Andrews says it takes about four months for such an injury to heal. HHH says the Walls of Jericho felt like the longest thing he’d ever been in. HHH continued the match because of his passion and the show goes on. HHH says it’s always about when he’d he back and not if he’d back. HHH promises this will not stop him and it will begin a new era.

6.) Bradshaw and Albert kickoff the match with Albert delivering a shoulder block to knock Bradshaw to the mat a couple of times. Bradshaw decks Albert over the back and they have a stare down until Bradshaw big boots Albert. Bradshaw follows up with strikes until Albert splashes Bradshaw in the corner and connects with a clothesline. Credible tags into the match, but Bradshaw powerslams Credible. Faarooq scoop slams Credible, but Credible comes back with a dropkick and a strike several times. Albert works over Faarooq with a few strikes and a scoop slam. Albert runs into a spinebuster by Faarooq. Bradshaw tags in and big boots Credible. Bradshaw catches Credible and hits a fallaway slam. Bradshaw big boots Albert and hits a back suplex on Credible for a two count. Faarooq decks Albert to the floor. Bradshaw decks Credible with a clothesline and plants Credible with a powerbomb leading to a three count. (*. APA are a badass team and enjoy watching them beat up dudes. Credible seems to be the fall guy for X-Factor, which is kind of a shame for the former ECW World Champ.)

7.) Michael Cole asks Grandmaster Sexay if he is a homie and Sexay accepts him as a homie. Cole brings up the new tag champs Jericho and Benoit. Blackman suggests they are only champs because they haven’t fought them yet. Sexay thinks it’s just a matter of time before the titles are around their waists.

8.) We see graphic footage of Triple H’s thigh surgery. Stephanie McMahon was there to watch the surgery and said she’s nervous even though she knows he’ll be okay. Dr. Andrews says it was a tough surgery and believes they got a good strong repair.

9.) Grandmaster Sexay and Steve Blackman take some time to dance to finish the show.

Final Thoughts:
The Triple H surgery stuff was interesting and it’s a bummer that HHH will be out of action for likely the rest of the year. Aside from HHH’s injury footage there wasn’t much going on here.
