Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Bobby Heenan doesn’t like Canada because it hasn’t been lucky for him noting Flair lost the WWF World Championship in Canada. Heenan promises Ric Flair will be WWF World Champion again.
2.) After his victory, Kamala looks at the big screen and sees Paul Bearer with a casket causing Kamala to freak out and escape through the crowd.
3.) Survivor Series Report hosted by Mean Gene is up next. Gene promotes the Survivor Series tag team main event. Mr. Perfect, Ric Flair and Razor Ramon cut a promo. Perfect says people see them as survivors. Ramon says sunglasses and knee pads aren’t going to protect Warrior and Savage. Flair says this business is about money and being in the big time. Flair says nobody does it better than the three of them. Flair wants them to be ready. WWF Intercontinental Champion British Bulldog defends against The Mountie. WWF World Champion Bret Hart will defend against Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels cuts a promo about being waited on hand and foot. Michaels was born to live that way, but he’s got to be the WWF World Champion. Michaels promises a short-lived reign because he’s taking the title. WWF World Champion Bret Hart cuts a promo about Michaels talks about being at the top of his game. Hart says Michaels has to ask if he’s going to be good enough, and Hart doesn’t think so.
4.) Shawn Michaels won the match with a superkick instead of the side suplex.
5.) Tito Santana shared pre-tape comments during Ramon’s match. Santana says Ramon doesn’t have respect for anything or anybody. Santana tells Ramon to be ready for their match next week because he will be.
6.) Next week, Papa Shango, WWF Intercontinental Champion British Bulldog, WWF Tag Team Champions Natural Disasters defend the tag titles, and Razor Ramon battles Tito Santana!
Final Thoughts:
This could be the first time that Michaels won a match with the superkick, which is a much better finisher than the side suplex. Hart vs. Michaels for the title on PPV is such a different feel than we’ve seen for the past decade, but it’s a good thing. A fine episode this week with some more advancement for Survivor Series. Next week is the beginning of sweeps month hence why it’s a stronger show than usual on paper.
