1.) Moore puts a wrist lock on Tajiri, but Tajiri rolls through and counters. Moore kips up and gets a rollup on Tajiri for a two count. Moore taunts Tajiri and the crowd. Tajiri slaps Moore and snapmares Moore to the mat followed by a kick to the back and a dropkick to a seated Moore. Tajiri works over Moore in the corner with a chop. Tajiri tries for the tarantula, but Moore avoids it and yanks Tajiri off the apron leading to a two count. Moore elbows Tajiri to the mat and delivers a few strikes on the mat. Tajiri nails Moore with a superkick for a two count. Tajiri heads to the top rope, but is met with a kick and a spinning heel kick. Moore covers for a two count. Moore tries for a back suplex, but Tajiri misses a kick and Moore hits a springboard heel kick for a near fall. Moore heads to the middle rope, but misses a blockbuster attempt. Tajiri nails Moore with a kick to the head for the win. (**. A decent match with Moore getting more offense than I expected. Tajiri has maintained his momentum fairly well. I think Tajiri is best suited as a babyface right now in WWE as the crowd responds very well to him and I prefer to rally behind him instead of expecting to boo him.)
2.) Collyer dropkicks Train to start the match, but Train gets out of a headlock. Collyer dropkicks Train on the knee and kicks Train on the side of the head for a two count. Collyer stomps Train on the mat and keeps leg control on the mat. Collyer is kicked away by Train and strikes Train several times. Train runs through Collyer with a shoulder block. Train sends Collyer chest first into the corner and clubs Collyer over the back. Train splashes Collyer in the corner. Train knee lifts Collyer in the corner followed by a clothesline. Collyer strikes back, but Train locks in a Gory Special and drops down to his knees for a near fall. Train puts a bearhug on Collyer in the middle of the ring, but Collyer fights free with strikes. Collyer sunset flips Train, but Train misses a leg drop attempt. Collyer dropkicks Train into the corner and kicks Train away a few times. Collyer is shoved into the corner. Train sits Collyer on the top turnbuckle. Collyer spikes Train with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Collyer tries for a suplex, but Train avoids it. Train nails Collyer with a bicycle kick. Train drives Collyer to the mat with the Derailer for the win. (**. I was expecting this to be a bit more one-sided for Train, but Collyer actually got a decent amount of offense in the match. Train struggling with enhancement talent makes it confusing to buy into him as a monster heel for Smackdown.) After the match, Train catapults Collyer into the ropes throat first.
3.) Chavo and Nunzio kickoff the six man tag main event. Chavo arm drags Nunzio and keeps arm control on the mat. They trade hammerlocks, but Chavo shoulder blocks Nunzio followed by an elbow drop and arm drag. Funaki tags into the match and axe handles Nunzio from the top rope to keep arm control. Funaki bulldogs Nunzio for a two count. Eddie tags into the match and taunts the FBI in the corner. Eddie stomps Nunzio against the ropes followed by a forearm strike. Eddie tilt a whirl backbreakers Nunzio for a two count. Nunzio is sent into the corner, but Eddie dropkicks Nunzio and drop toe holds Stamboli. Eddie kicks Stamboli over the back and there’s a triple dropkick to a seated Stamboli. Palumbo superkicks Eddie behind the referees back as the show goes to commercial.
Stamboli works over Eddie in the corner with stomps and strikes. Eddie is triple teamed in the corner. Nunzio scoop slams Eddie on the floor as the referee is distracted for quite a while. Palumbo tries for a cover, but Eddie kicks out at two. Palumbo drops Eddie with a right hand. Stamboli returns to the match and Eddie is slammed down to the mat with a double hip toss slam for a near fall. Stamboli works over Eddie in the corner with body strikes. Eddie continues to be worked over by Nunzio with strikes. Nunzio keeps a sleeper on Eddie, but doesn’t get a submission. Eddie rams Nunzio into the corner back first, but Nunzio stops Eddie hitting a middle rope leg drop for a two count as Funaki and Chavo make the save. Palumbo tags into the match as Stamboli press slams Eddie into the corner. Palumbo nails Eddie with a running boot for a near fall. Eddie and Palumbo trade right hands in the middle of the ring. Eddie uppercuts Palumbo, but can’t make the tag. Palumbo hits a Samoan Drop for a two count. Eddie hits a hurricanrana and is decked by Nunzio from the apron. Eddie fights out of the corner with strikes. Eddie head scissors and arm drags Stamboli and Palumbo. Funaki gets the hot tag and cleans house with clotheslines and dropkicks. Funaki plants Palumbo with a DDT. Chavo dropkicks Stamboli to the floor. Chavo tosses Nunzio to the floor and hits a crossbody. Eddie is sent into the railing by Stamboli. Funaki is caught by Palumbo coming off the top rope. Palumbo delivers a backbreaker and Stamboli hits a top rope leg drop. Nunzio is put onto Funaki and that’s good enough for the win. (*1/2. There wasn’t anything surprising here. Funaki taking the loss was predictable. This isn’t a statement win for the FBI or anything. I almost figured they’d win this one, but I feel like pinning Chavo would have had more of a statement. I never once thought Eddie was going to eat the pin here, though.)
Final Thoughts:
An average episode of Velocity this week. The action was okay, but nothing notable for the most part.
Thanks for reading.
