Footage from WWF Superstars from this past weekend where Lex Luger told Shawn Michaels on the Heartbreak Hotel that he hasn’t sold out to DiBiase. Luger is tricked to admitting to meeting DiBiase and that DiBiase has offered Luger a very lucrative offer. Luger didn’t appreciate the questioning by Michaels.

IRS misses a splash in the corner and Tatanka chops away on IRS followed by a hip toss and dropkick. Tatanka sends IRS hard back first into a corner and grabs IRS by the tie. Tatanka flips IRS over by yanking on the tie and clotheslines the tax man for a two count. Doink tags in and leaps off the middle rope with a double axe handle. IRS hip tosses Doink but Doink comes back with a scoop slam. Doink misses a elbow drop coming off the ropes and Bigelow is tagged in. Doink drop toe holds Bigelow and avoids a spin kick. Doink delivers a series of elbow drops and gets a two count. Doink locks in a arm bar and wrenches on Bigelow’s arm for a few moments. Tatanka tags back in and leaps off the top with a axe handle to Bigelow’s arm. Tatanka wrenches on Bigelow’s arm with a arm bar. Bigelow shoulder blocks Tatanka but misses a clothesline. Tatanka with a cross body and gets a two count. Tatanka clotheslines Bigelow a few times and knocks Bigelow down with a near fall. Bigelow dumps Tatanka to the floor and IRS attacks Tatanka as RAW goes to commercial. IRS covers but only manages to get a two count on Tatanka. IRS controls Tatanka with a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring. Lex Luger runs down to the ring and chases the heels away from the ring. Ted DiBiase enters the ring and has a handful of cash for Luger. DiBiase puts the money in Luger’s hand and Tatanka backs into Luger. Tatanka sees the money and quickly assumes that Luger sold out. Bigelow actually comes in and breaks up a possible fight. Has Luger turned heel?!

A video promoting next weeks featured match on RAW between the 1-2-3 Kid and Owen Hart is aired!

Jerry Lawler is in the ring for another edition of Kings Court. Lawler introduces his guest, Owen Hart. Jim Neidhart is with Owen Hart for the interview. Owen talks about being a little boy and being picked on by WWF World Champion Bret Hart. Owen says that as he got older, Bret ran away in fear from him. Owen has motivation to defeat Bret Hart, and that is the WWF World Championship. Owen really wishes that Jim was his older brother. Owen brings up beating Bret at Wrestle Mania X and winning the 1994 King of the Ring tournament. Owen announces that at Summer Slam he will have the whole family supporting Owen at the pay per view! Lawler chimes in and says he has a family member who isn’t behind Owen. Bruce Hart makes his way out to the ring. Bruce tells Owen that no one is on Owen’s side at Summer Slam. Bruce says that Owen betrayed them at Survivor Series, cheated at Wrestle Mania and needed Jim to win the King of the Ring. Bruce calls Owen a disgrace and believes Owen is going to be a crybaby following the cage match. Jim Neidhart says that Bruce is the jealous brother. Bruce cuts in and says Jim is the jealous one for eight years because Bret carried the Hart Foundation! Bruce tells Owen he doesn’t deserve any respect!

Main Event: Bob Backlund defeated Kevin Krueger:
Backlund wins the squash with the chicken wing submission.
After the match, Backlund stares at his hands.

Vince McMahon and Randy Savage hype up next weeks show which will see the 1-2-3 Kid vs. Owen Hart. Jerry Lawler will have Ted DiBiase and Paul Bearer on another edition of Kings Court.

Backstage, Lex Luger storms into Ted DiBiase’s locker room where Nikolai Volkoff is hanging out. Tatanka eventually enters as well and calls Luger a turncoat and they shove each other as the show comes to an end.

End of show.

My Take:
The featured match this week was the tag match with Doink/Tatanka taking on Bigelow/IRS. It wasn’t a bad match but it also wasn’t overly entertaining. They showcased some solid tag wrestling, though. I found it pretty odd that Tatanka didn’t even attempt to make the save on Doink on the pin attempt. The aftermath with DiBiase was pretty obvious as to how that was going to end up with the cash in hand and Tatanka thinking that Luger sold out. Luger does need a heel turn, so perhaps he finally will!

Bruce Hart really doesn’t know how to conduct himself during a promo. Bruce was kind of wild and really hurt the promo as he didn’t wait for his cue and would just start ripping into Owen and Neidhart. A poorly executed segment once Bruce got involved.

I thought it was pretty funny that their was a promo of the New Generation in the WWF, but then we get a Bob Backlund match.

Overall, a decent episode of RAW. RAW the past several weeks has been centered around Luger/Tatanka and their feud. It’s an okay angle, but I don’t want to see those guys every week. Next weeks Owen vs. Kid match should be a great match.

Thanks for reading.
