Extreme Championship Wrestling presents ECW on TNN
From: Kansas City, MO

1.)Tajiri defeated Little Guido
2.)Tommy Dreamer, Danny Doring & Roadkill defeated Da Baldies in a street fight
3.)ECW Television Champion Super Crazy defeated Rhino to retain the title

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.Joey Styles and Joel Gertner open the show as usual. They want Cyrus in the ring, but when Cyrus comes out he has Tajiri with him. Cyrus says he has been frustrated with talent taking care of Network business. Cyrus says idiots like Tajiri aren’t getting the job done. Tajiri turns around and isn’t happy with that insult. Cyrus threatens Tajiri that he will revoke his license and will send him back to Japan. Cyrus is able to turn this around and have Tajiri stalk towards Styles and Gertner in the corner. Cyrus announces he is going to wrestle ECW Television Champion Super Crazy for the title later tonight!

2.Backstage, Danny Doring and Roadkill talk about the Dangerous Alliance. Doring says that Electra is just a used issue to him. Angel comes into the scene and wants to know where Tommy Dreamer. Doring punches Angel but DeVito and Grimes storm into the room and hit them with a trash can!

3.Tajiri dropkicks Guido in the gut to open the contest as Guido attempted a leapfrog. Guido counters a head scissors by driving him face first into the mat. Tajiri kicks Guido in the head on the floor and taunts the fans. Tajiri followed up with a snap suplex on the ramp way! Tajiri sets up a table in the corner but Guido comes back with a slingshot DDT from the apron back into the ring. Guido blocks a kick and drives Tajiri to the mat with a spine buster. Tajiri drops Guido with a handspring elbow. Tajiri mists Sal in the eyes with Guido on his shoulders and Tajiri suplexs Guido on the table, which doesn’t break. Tajiri puts Guido in the tree of woe and kicks a chair into his face. Guido counters a handspring elbow with a neck breaker for a near fall. Guido drops Tajiri with a Sicilian Slice but Tajiri kicks out! Tajiri hits an excellent middle rope brain buster to win the match! That was a solid match between two veterans.

4.Backstage, Judge Jeff Jones says that Mike Awesome is going to take care of business. Awesome shoves him into a wall and tells us that he bled around four continents to be the ECW World Champion!

5.Backstage, Sinister Minster is in a elevator which is his personal office. He describes the situation between Raven, Dreamer and Francine with cards. He describes Heyman, Dawn Marie and Electra. He says there isn’t any justice in ECW and that’s why Cyrus works for TNN. Mikey Whipwreck is under the table laughing and starts laughing with Sinister.

6.Tommy Dreamer teams with Danny Doring and Roadkill in a street fight against Da Baldies. As expected all six men brawl all around ringside to open the match. Dreamer uses a pizza cutter to slice up Grimes forehead. Angel drops Doring with a clothesline in the ring while Grimes crotches Dreamer on the railing. This is actually kind of hard to cover. Roadkill leaps off the top to splash onto DeVito who had just side slammed Doring. Roadkill misses a splash across the ring and crashes through a table. DeVito sends Dreamer into a ladder in the corner and Angel works on Doring to keep the advantage. Doring hits the Bareback on Angel and catapults a ladder into DeVito and Angel. Grimes misses a top rope senton splash on Roadkill and hits the railing. Dreamer enters and plants Grimes with a DDT on the railing. Doring and Roadkill hit a top rope leg drop and big splash to win the match. That was a decent brawl. I’m starting to think that I don’t give Da Baldies enough credit when it comes to these type things. They can provide some entertaining fights.

7.Cyrus is in the ring to wrestle Super Crazy. He says he is ready to beat Crazy for the ECW Television Championship. He isn’t going to stick to his stipulations. Crazy will instead be wrestling Rhino. Rhino enters the ring but misses a splash but clotheslines Crazy to get the advantage. Crazy hits Rhino with a springboard spinning heel kick and leaps off the top to take Rhino, Corino and Victory out with a top rope cross body on the floor. Crazy hits Rhino with a swinging DDT for a near victory. Crazy counters a gore attempt with a dropkick to Rhino’s leg. Rhino hits a sit down power bomb out of the corner for a near fall. Crazy fights back with a springboard moonsault but Rhino kicks out at two on the cover. Rhino is able to GORE Crazy through a table after blocking a tornado DDT attempt. Rhino covers but Crazy somehow kicks out! Rhino power bombs Crazy but is still unable to put Crazy away. Rhino sets a table up in the ring but Crazy low blows Rhino and sends him through the table with a sunset flip power bomb for the win! After the match, Steve Corino enters and the ring and along with Cyrus attack Crazy. The Sandman’s music hits just as it did last week. Sandman gets in the ring and hits Corino and Victory with his kendo stick. Rhino gets hit a few times but he avoids two swings and Corino super kicks Sandman. Rhino sends both Crazy and Sandman through a table in the corner with a GORE! Cyrus is on the microphone while Rhino hits Sandman several times with a kendo stick over the head. Cyrus says nobody stands up to the Network as the show comes to an end.

Final Thoughts:
This was a really good all around episode, I thought. All three matches were entertaining and the Network angle is getting more and more interesting. I didn’t like Rhino losing clean to Crazy here just because he needs to be built up as an unstoppable monster. It was a big win for Crazy, though. I’d give this a thumbs up as ECW continues to put on some quality wrestling shows.

Thanks for reading.
