2.)The Headshrinkers defeated Mike Khoury & Tim McNeany
3.)Bastion Booger defeated Tony Roy
4.)Owen Hart defeated Barry Hardy
5.)Ludvig Borga defeated John Crystal
Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Luger was responsible for Pierre being knocked out of the Survivor Series event, so Jacques is going to be competing against Luger for some measure of revenge. Jacques cut a promo before the match saying that we all know that Luger has a metal plate in his forearm. Jacques announces that he is not wrestling Luger tonight until he sees a note from a doctor saying that the plate has been removed from Luger’s forearm. They have the match after referees prevent Jacques from leaving. Jacques works over Luger during the early moments of the contest with several blows and a clothesline. Luger tries to fight back but misses Jacques and flies over the top rope to the floor. While on the floor, Johnny Polo gets several cheap shots in on Luger. Luger fights back with some very basic offense, until Jacques delivers an atomic drop. Luger accidentally sends Jacques into the referee in the corner. Polo trips Luger as he runs the ropes to help out Jacques. Pierre runs down to ringside and leg drops Luger to switch with Jacques! Luger kicks out of Pierre’s cover! Luger gets up and knocks Pierre with the forearm shot to get the cover. Jacques enters the ring and shows the referee that Luger didn’t pin him, so the match continues. Ten seconds later and Luger hits the forearm on Jacques to win the match. After the match, Johnny Polo enters the ring and Luger gets a hold of him. Polo is begging off but Luger knocks him out with the forearm shot as well!
2. Raymond Rougeau conducts an interview with WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon this week. Ramon asks Ray what is wrong with this picture. Ray correctly points out that Ramon’s gold around his neck is gone. Ramon notes that if something happens to his gold, something will happen to someone who takes his gold. We see footage from three weeks ago on RAW where IRS had Ramon’s gold in his briefcase. Ramon asks IRS if he knows how long he worked to get the gold. Ray mentions Ramon’s health and how Shawn Michaels slammed Ramon onto the concrete floor two times with the Razors Edge. Ramon tells us that it’s not how many times you get knocked down, but rather how many times you get up.
Final Thoughts:
Just an average episode of Superstars this week. The match involving Luger/Jacques wasn’t all that bad as Luger didn’t have too much offense to make it drag out too long. The promo by Ramon was just your standard hype for his match with IRS at the Rumble. There isn’t much to see here, folks.
Thanks for reading.
