Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Raymond Rougeau introduces Bam-Bam Bigelow for a special interview on the program. Well, as he comes out, Sensational Sherri runs to the podium and says she wants to talk about Luna Vachon. She is pissed about Luna attacking her from behind at WrestleMania IX. Sherri says Luna can meet her at anytime. Bigelow tries to get her to leave, but isn’t successful in doing so. So, Bigelow puts his hands on her but Tatanka runs out and chops Bigelow. Tatanka dropkicks Bigelow off the podium to save Sherri! Tatanka leaps off the podium and hammers away on Bigelow some more. Tatanka leaps off again to hit a couple of overhand chops! Bigelow is held back by several officials to end the segment.
2. A video promoting the new tag team Smoking Gunns is aired. It’s Billy and Bart Gunn! They are going to be entering the WWF to face the good, the bad, and the ugly. They will be riding tall in the saddle when it’s all said and done.
3. Gorilla Monsoon hosts the WWF Update this week. There is a investigation going on regarding Lex Luger’s forearm. We see a clip of Lex Luger attacking then WWF World Champion Bret Hart at a press conference. X-rays of Luger’s forearm are shown where he has metal plate in his forearm. Luger cut a promo asking if it’s fair he looks the way he looks and the fans look the way they look. Luger tells us that life isn’t fair unless you are Lex Luger.
4. Tatanka was scheduled to compete in singles action but he didn’t make his entrance. His song is played a couple of times but he still doesn’t come out. Instead we see backstage that Bigelow has laid Tatanka out and cuts his hair!
Final Thoughts:
Just an average episode this week with the main focus being on Bigelow/Tatanka. I liked the progression they had with Bigelow taking Tatanka out and cutting his hair. An angle between them should be interesting since I believe they are both undefeated on television, though Bigelow has lost to Bret Hart on the house shows. The investigation involving Lex Luger is not overly interesting. I kind of wish they didn’t reveal he had a metal plate in his forearm and treated it like he had some ridiculous strength or something. Oh well, this gets a thumbs in the middle from me.
Thanks for reading.
