WWF RAW Opener:
WWF RAW started off with clips from WWF Smackdown! on Thursday night when Stone Cold went against Kurt Angle in a one on one match. During that match, Kane hit the ring and gave Stone Cold a choke slam, and then he went on to give Kurt Angle a choke slam! After that, The Big Show and Triple H got involved, and Triple H was left standing in the ring as the Undertaker looked on from the stage! The Royal Rumble is this Sunday night, and it was announced over the weekend on Federation programming that The Big Show and Kane officially entered themselves in the Royal Rumble!
In the arena:
The usual RAW fireworks went off in Dallas, Texas and Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler kicked off the show on commentary!
In ring promo:
Ric Flair’s music then hit, and he made his way out as the co-owner of the World Wrestling Federation! This Sunday at the Royal Rumble, it’ll be Vince McMahon vs. Ric Flair in a one on one match, and it’s not going to be a pretty match! Ric Flair got on the mic, and he greeted Dallas, Texas. God, what a wrestling history they have there. God only knows that in 1984 when Ric got off that jet airplane, made his way to Texas Stadium to wrestle Kerry Von Erich, that was wrestling history. But the Nature Boy, Woooo, is about to make history again! Because at the Royal Rumble on Sunday night, he’s going to wrestle Vince McMahon. Now, he would be a liar if he wasn’t to tell us that in recent weeks, he’s been humbled by the great Vince McMahon. He’s been brought to his knees and left in the middle of the ring by the great Vince McMahon. Yes, he’s been humbled, but not so humbled, that just incase you didn’t see it, here it is. Ric showed some clips from last week when Vince McMahon mocked Flair on RAW. Ric said you can only imagine how that makes him feel. Wearing a robe that Ric wore to defend the Heavyweight Championship. They showed more footage, and that was of Vince hitting Ric Flair with a lead pipe. Ric said that he’s humbled, but not so humbled that he won’t show yet one last clip of Vince talking about him on Smackdown! last week. They showed the footage from the Interview from Smackdown!, and Vince said that he enjoys destroying lives. It turns him on. Ric said that he’s honored that Vince called him an icon, but you can only imagine how it was for Flair to walk around, carrying the burden of knowing what Vince did to him. It didn’t turn him on, but it got the engine going! Getting back to Vince and the abuse of power, and millions of dollars and ownership of a huge company. Now, Ric is going to abuse his powers by making the match at the Royal Rumble into a Street Fight! No rules. No count outs. No disqualifications. Nothing stops that match! They are going to fill their boots. They’re going to bleed, they’re going to sweat, and they’re going to pay the price until one of them walks out a winner. Guaranteed. We’re paying for it, and we’re going to see a winner. One last thing that really has gotten under his skin. Ric took his jacket off, and he said that Vince said last week, to be the man, you’ve beat the man. WELL YOU’RE RIGHT! AND NOW…Ric strutted around the ring and he gave the mic an elbow drop and then a knee drop, and then he said at the Royal Rumble? Now McMahon, now! Why wait. Vince has grapefruits the size of Dallas. Why wait? Come on! Ric asked Vince why wait until the Rumble? Let’s do it now! The music of Chris Jericho hit in the arena and he made his way out as the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. The fans chanted “Jericho sucks!” as Jericho was ready to speak. Chris asked Ric if he disappointed him? Was he expecting somebody else? Why wouldn’t he be expecting someone else? There used to be a time in this company when it revolved around one man, and one man only, and that man sure as hell wasn’t the owner, it was the Champion. And guess what, jack offs? Chris Jericho is the Champion! You know what that means? That means that the entire World Wrestling Federation revolves around Chris Jericho. That means the entire WORLD revolves around Y2J! Let’s be honest, most importantly of all, Ric Flair’s life revolves around Jericho. Why else is he facing Mr. McMahon at the Royal Rumble? Chris knows why. It’s because he wants to prove that he’s still got what it takes. He wants to prove that he’s still got the goods to be the Champion. Speaking as the Undisputed Champion of the world, and speaking as the man, who on Sunday at the Royal Rumble is going to beat The Rock for the 5th time, speaking as that man, allow him to put it to Flair bluntly: Flair, you don’t have what it takes. But guess what? It’s quite honest that Chris has what it takes. Look at him, he’s got the class. He has got the style. He has the raw charisma. As a matter a fact, you can even call him the anti Texan. Look, there’s no stupid cowboy hat on his gorgeous head. There’s no out dated cheesy cowboy boots on his gorgeous feet. There ain’t no chaw in his craw, and he has never said “Howdy!” in his entire life, and thank God for that! Chris Jericho has absolutely nothing in common with Texas! But Ric Flair does. As a matter a fact, Ric has something in common with the most influential Texan himself, the President, George W. Bush. Even though it’s not cool to make fun of the President now a days, why not? He’s not Chris Jericho’s leader. But Ric Flair and Bush have something in common. They’ve both got a lot of power. The fans started chanting “Asshole, asshole!” and Chris said like he really gives a damn what all these Texans think. Ric and Bush both have a lot of accolades, but on Sunday at the Royal Rumble, Ric is going to do the exact same thing that George Bush did yesterday. On Sunday, Ric Flair is going to choke. Chris dropped the mic, and Ric Flair got mad and nailed Chris with a hard right hand and then he backed him into the corner and chopped away on him. Chris fired back with some chops on his own on Ric Flair, and Ric Flair gave Chris Jericho a low blow! Ric then gave Chris another low blow and then he knocked Chris down with a hard right hand. Ric Flair grabbed Chris Jericho by the leg, and he put him in the figure four leg lock, and the fans went NUTS! Vince McMahon then stormed to the ring, and he nailed Ric Flair in the back of the head and the back with the lead pipe. Vince said that it looks like Flair made wrestling history again, look at that, he’s unconscious in the middle of the ring, just like he’s going to be in the Royal Rumble this Sunday. By the way, on behalf of the ownership of the WWF, Vince would like to apologize to the Undisputed Champion for Ric Flair putting his hands on him. Vince asked Chris to help Mr. Flair up, just like he’s going to need some help after this match on Sunday. Chris helped Flair up, and Vince taunted Ric Flair and he slapped him around. Vince said that he’s been practicing his field goal kicking. He’s going to put one right on Ric. There’s the snap, and there’s the kick. Vince went to kick Ric Flair, but Ric blocked it, and he took Vince down. Ric went for the figure four, but Chris Jericho was quick to stop him. Chris Jericho then held onto Flair, and Vince nailed Flair in the mid section with the lead pipe! Vince McMahon and Chris Jericho then celebrated together, and then they both left the ring.
Backstage:
Christian and Lance Storm were shown, and they were talking about what Chris Jericho just did. They loved it. Chris showed up, and Christian asked Chris if he saw the look in the fans’ faces? Chris said even better, did you see Chris Jericho and Vince teach Ric a lesson? Lance asked Chris how his leg is, and Chris said his leg is fine. He never felt better. Bradshaw showed up, and he told Chris that if he’s got a problem with Ric Flair, that’s between those two. But Chris Jericho came into Bradshaw’s home state and trashed the fans and George Bush? Bradshaw challenged the three of them to a match tonight, because he can find some partners. Bradshaw left, and Christian said not to worry. Bradshaw has no friends.

Vince McMahon was shown leaving the arena as if he just robbed a bank, and he got in a limo and took off!

After Heat, they were set up to go on a double date with these two hot chicks, but after Heat, they were so upset that they had to cancel. What is his deal anyway? If anyone has the body to be a super hero, it’s them. Even Superman can’t touch this! The Hurricane and Tajiri came out, and The Hurricane got on the mic and said that these two with hot chicks? Who does Kane think he is? He wants to make a statement? He thinks he’s going to win the Royal Rumble? Kurt has a statement for him. You’ve messed with the wrong guy. Kane wants to mess with Kurt? Go toe to toe with him? To quote the popular singer Shakira. Whenever, where ever. Last year, Kane had a very impressive Royal Rumble. He nearly won the damn thing, but does he have a Gold Medal? Didn’t think so. Being a big red freak isn’t an Olympic sport. So Kane wants to make an example out of him? Well tonight, Kurt is going to make an example out of Kane. Remember the last time they wrestled? Kurt made Kane tap. Kane was crying like a baby, but tonight, it’s going to be worse. A shot of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s locker room was shown, and after the break, they are going to try to get a word with Stone Cold! Michael Cole was shown with Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Michael said that earlier tonight, we heard some controversial remarks from Triple H concerning the Rumble. Comments on what Triple H had to say? Stone Cold hit Michael Cole with a bunch of whats, and then he gave his comments. Austin said he and Triple H don’t agree. Got time for a story? It’s a story about a man named Stone Cold who rolled into Dallas, Texas last night. When he rolled into Texas, he was real thirsty, so he went to a bar and started drinking some beers. Then he started throwing darts. Playing pool. Drinking beer. Then he got on a mechanical bull. Rode it front ways, sideways, backwards, front ways, two handed, one handed, no handed, finally had to shut that sum bitch down, because he wore it out. Then he started drinking more beer, and he started a fight. The whole bar started fighting. He whipped everybody’s ass and threw them all out the door! Finally, the bar tender said “Stone Cold, Stone Cold, Stone Cold!” and Austin said “What?” Austin was asked why he was throwing everybody out of the bar, and Austin said that he was getting ready for the Rumble. The bar tender then said that he heard Triple H was coming back to win the Rumble. Austin drank some of that beer, put it down, looked the bar tender right in the eye and said “What?” Austin said that’s not going to happen. Triple H is going to do a lot of things in his life. He made a big come back, he looks great, he’s the game, and he’s that damn good. He can do all the bench presses, shoulder presses, lap pull downs, bar bell curls, triceps extensions, squats, dead lifts, crunches, leg lifts, he can do all that, but there’s one thing he’ll never do is thrown Stone Cold Steve Austin over the top rope, that just won’t happen. Austin told the bar tender that he’s working on his strategy right now. Austin showed the bar tender his beer belly, and he said by lowering his center of gravity, it makes it harder for a man to throw him over the top rope! He looked at the bar tender and said he’s not going to mess with the mechanical bull anymore, and he can let everybody back in, because he’s going to work on his beer belly. When he does that, he’s going to get some burgers, and fill up. The bottom line is that Stone Cold is going to the Rumble to win to go to Wrestlemania, and that’s the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so!

In ring promo:
Triple H’s music hit in the arena and he made his way out to a huge pop! Triple H got on the mic and said that last Monday night, he walked down that ramp. Last Monday night, after eight months and after everything he went through, after everybody said he couldn’t come back, he walked down that ramp and got in this ring. As Jim Ross said, twenty two thousand fans at Madison Square Garden stood on their feet as one, and whether they loved him or hated him, they all roared to show their respect for the Game. But what Jim Ross also said was that they roared for a comeback that was complete. He couldn’t have been anymore wrong. If you think that was it. If you think that he spent 8 months of his life going through hell, living like a hermit, busting his ass, doing what doctors told him that could not be done, just so he could stand in this ring one time, just so he can be one of the boys, you were wrong. If you thought that he did all of that, so he can stand here and just be another face in the crowd, just be another WWF Superstar, you were dead wrong. He went through all of that. Every second. Every hour. Every day, every week, every month, for one reason, and that was to come back here to be the best. This Sunday at the Royal Rumble, 30 men will compete for the honor to go to Wrestlemania for the opportunity to win the one thing that separates everybody. To win the one thing that says that beyond a shadow of a doubt, you are the best that there is. That you have no equal. The winner of the Royal Rumble goes to Wrestlemania to compete for the Undisputed Championship of the World Wrestling Federation. And this Sunday, Triple H will win the Royal Rumble. And it’s not going to matter who you are. It’s not going to matter what your name is. Triple H doesn’t care if your name is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now, that might sound a little bit cocky, but like the song says, it ain’t bragging if you can back it up, and he can back up every single word he says, because he is the Game, and he is that damn good! Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music hit, and he made his way out to the ring! Stone Cold stood face to face with Triple H and Austin tried to get to the turnbuckle for some more posing, but Triple H stood in Austin’s way. Triple H and Austin exchanged words, and then they hammered away on each other with right hands! Austin went for the stunner, but Triple H countered it and he went for the Pedigree on Austin, but Austin got out of it with a back body drop. The Undertaker showed up at ringside with a steel chair, and he nailed Triple H with it, and then Austin gave Triple H the Stunner, and then the Undertaker got in the ring and nailed Stone Cold with the steel chair! The Undertaker stood tall in the ring as WWF RAW went off the air!
