Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Sir Mo slaps Ahmed on the floor. Mo is replacing Skip, who has a tag title match tonight. Johnson scoop slams Mo onto the floor! In the ring, Skip is hiding behind Sunny. Sir Mo has simply walked to the back, so disregard that replacement talk. Ahmed shoves Skip down and is punched for doing so, but the punch doesn’t bother him. Sunny distracts Johnson to allow Skip to get the advantage, but his offense is not affecting Ahmed all that much. Johnson lifts Skip up and drops him gut first down to the canvas! Ahmed nails Skip with a vicious short arm clothesline and delivers a scissors kick! Skip stumbles into a bicycle kick as well. Ahmed plants Skip with a spine buster and Sunny gets on the apron to yell at him. Ahmed quickly hits the Pearl River Plunge and that’s it. (*1/2. The crowd is really behind Ahmed, who dominated the match. He is clearly being built up as a babyface force and the fans are buying into him.)

2. Vega hip tosses Douglas down and begins to dance to rub it in Dean’s face. Vega knocks Douglas to the floor with a clothesline. On the floor, Dean pushes the ring steps over out of frustration. Vega continues to strike Dean in the ring until he bails to the floor a second time. Douglas knees Savio in the corner and comes charging out with a clothesline of his own. Dean locks in a chin lock to keep Vega on the mat. Savio nearly wins with a leaping cross body but Dean comes back with a dropkick for a two count. Douglas misses a splash in the corner and Vega soon hits a side slam. Douglas leaps off the middle rope for a cross body but Vega rolls through for a two count. Vega counters a roll up and pins Douglas for the win. (*1/2. A simple match that wasn’t all that good. They just kept it basic and I found it to be boring and uninteresting as a result.) After the match, Douglas knee lifts Vega from behind sending the winner to the floor.

3. Goldust quickly plants Jannetty with a DDT and were four seconds into the match. Jake Roberts would be pissed. Goldust continues his offense with a leaping clothesline of the ropes. Goldust gets a near fall after a forearm shot to the chest. Goldust has an abdominal stretch on Jannetty while using the ropes for the illegal advantage. Marty hits a running cross body for a near fall but Goldust turns him inside out with a clothesline. Marty tries a few pinning combinations but has no luck keeping Goldust down long enough. They are on the floor where Goldust uppercuts the Rocker. Jannetty drops Goldust throat first across the top from the apron but can’t follow up quickly. Goldust avoids Marty in the corner, who hits the corner hard chest first. Jannetty avoids Goldust in the corner moments later and Goldust hits his shoulder on the ring post! Marty continues to focus on Goldust’s shoulder and wraps the shoulder around the ring post. Jannetty catapults Goldust into the corner for a near fall. Goldust hits a lifting reverse DDT to win the match. (**. An alright match but it went a little long for my liking. Jannetty got plenty of offense and they had several good near falls in the match.)

4. Lafitte and Bart start off the tag team title match. I don’t recall Lafitte having any association with the Corporation previously. Lafitte clotheslines Bart early on and works over him with several overhand strikes. Bart catches Lafitte on a leap frog to hit a scoop slam. Bart is worked on in the corner and Kama tags in to hit a clothesline in the corner. Bart ducks under a big boot to dropkick Kama and hit a scoop slam. Billy comes in with a bunch of energy but is stopped with a backbreaker by Kama quickly. Billy is double teamed in the corner. Lafitte drive Billy down with a side slam for a two count. Lafitte hits a middle rope leg drop but Billy powers out at two. Billy is tossed over the top to the floor where Kama gets a few cheap shots in. Billy fights back with a back suplex to drop Kama to the canvas. Bart gets the hot tag, as does Lafitte. Bart connects with a backdrop and clothesline but Kama pulls the ropes down and Bart crashes to the floor. Lafitte misses a top rope big splash. Kama is knocked to the floor and the champs hit the leg drop/side slam combo to the win match. (**. Not too bad, but again it was rather a basic match. Billy appeared to put forth maximum effort here which is nice to see on house shows.)

5. Godwinn opens the bout by sending Yankeem to the floor with a clothesline over the top. Yankeem pulls Henry to the floor and slams his head into the apron to get the advantage. Henry tries for a running bulldog but Yankeem shoves him shoulder first into the corner and gets a near fall. Yankeem has Henry hung over the ropes and hits a impressive springboard axe handle shot from off the top! Henry blocked a suplex attempt to hit one of his own. They both attempt clotheslines and both go down. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is making his way down to ringside. Henry could have hit the Slop Drop but instead goes after Hunter and is dropped across the top as a result. Yankeem hits a DDT and wins the match. (*1/2. The match didn’t really hold my interest and the fans just don’t care about Yankeem no matter what the big man can do in the ring. A decent finish to an underwhelming match.)

6. Owen runs around ringside and works over Bigelow in the corner but that doesn’t last long. Bigelow drops Owen with a shoulder block and they go back to stalling. Owen tried to pull Bigelow’s hair but he doesn’t have any. Owen avoids a falling head butt to regain the advantage. On the floor, Fuji whacks Bigelow over the back with a flag. Owen heads to the top and hit a missile dropkick for a near fall. Owen connects with a kick to the side of Bam-Bam’s head for another two count. Bigelow side steps a splash in the corner and Owen hits the corner groin first. Bigelow backdrops Owen but runs into a big boot in the corner and driven down to the mat with a bulldog. Bigelow hits a German suplex but his shoulders are down and Owen pops his up to win the match. (*1/4. What a ridiculous finish there. I’d think those types of finishes are saved for really grueling and physical matches. This wasn’t that at all. Owen controlled most of the match and the finish just didn’t fit well. The experiment of babyface Bigelow is almost over.)

7. Razor and Hunter start the match taunting each other with Hunter getting the better of their exchanges in the opening minute of the title bout. Razor quickly fights back with a fall away slam and a clothesline sending the challenger to the floor. Ramon works on Hunter’s left arm by yanking him down to the canvas. Razor misses a charging attack and flies over the top to the floor. On the floor, Hunter rams Razor back first into the apron. Hunter tries to use a chair but the referee stops him from using it. Hunter instead leaps off the chair and nails Razor with a forearm shot. Hunter hits a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Hunter is just working over Razor’s lower back with strikes. Hunter tries for a backslide but Razor blocks it only to be driven down with a reverse neck breaker that gets Hunter a two count. Razor gets out of a sleeper hold after several minutes with a back suplex. Ramon hits a choke slam after catching Hunter leaping off the middle rope. They collide heads and are both down. Ramon sends Hunter into the corner where he flips and nails the challenger with a clothesline for a near fall. Hunter rolls Ramon up on a blown roll up and uses the ropes for leverage to win the title! The 1-2-3 Kid runs down and tells the referee that Hunter cheated. So, the referee takes his word for it and the match restarts. Hunter misses Razor and clotheslines the referee on accident. Razor hits the Razors Edge! The 1-2-3 Kid comes in and makes the count, which means nothing. Ramon tells Kid to leave and is angry at him. They shove each other until Hunter knee lifts Ramon into Kid. Hunter plants Ramon with the pedigree. Kid enters the ring and attacks Hunter to cause the DQ. (**1/4. There were several moments during the match that were boring and slow, but the last few minutes were okay. Kid getting involved was fine, but for a house show there seems to be a lot of interference. An average match at best, and that’s being generous.) After the match, Henry Godwinn comes out with his slop and misses Hunter. Instead, he slops Kid. Henry and Hunter brawl backstage. Kid gets in the ring flicks slop on Ramon, who was laughing at him. Kid flips out and kicks Ramon in the corner a few times before leaving to boos. As he was leaving, Kid slipped on the slop on the floor.

8. Bob Backlund is the special referee for the main event. Bulldog and Michaels start the six man tag. Michaels pokes Bulldog in the eyes and hits a standing hurricanrana. Michaels kicks Bulldog on the side of the head and tags in Diesel. Diesel clotheslines Bulldog and follows up with a side slam for a near fall. Yokozuna gets tagged in as Bulldog bails to the floor. Yoko sends Diesel into the ropes and Bret is knocked off the apron. That causes some friction between Bret and Diesel. Yoko knocks Michaels off the apron and hits a Samoan Drop on Diesel for a near fall! Bulldog tagged back in but missed an elbow drop. Mabel comes in and misses an elbow so he tags out. Bret and Bulldog are in the ring with Bret getting the better of Bulldog with a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall. Bret connects with a back breaker and comes off the middle rope with a forearm drop before going for the Sharpshooter. Mabel enters and head butts Bret. Michaels could have stopped it, but didn’t. Mabel works over Bret in the corner. Yoko has tagged in now to continue to work over Bret for his team. Bret tags in Michaels but Backlund didn’t see the tag. Yoko leg drops Bret! Mabel runs into a boot and Bret hits a middle rope clothesline but Mabel staggers and falls onto Bret! Mabel misses a splash in the corner and Diesel gets the tag. Diesel jumps onto Mabel across the ropes and all six men are going at it in the ring. The heels are sent into each other and Diesel big boots Mabel. Michaels comes off top to splash Mabel and Yoko accidentally splashes Mabel. Michaels superkicks Mabel to win the match. (***. A good main event to close the show. Shawn appeared to be mad that Mabel tried to kick out of the super kick, which is understandable. The crowd was into it from the opening bell and the guys provided some good action.) After the match, Backlund tried to get his hands on Bret but Diesel saved him. Michaels is trying to keep the peace between Diesel and Bret since they are wrestling at Survivor Series in nine days.

Final Thoughts:
A below average house show this time around. The under card was rather weak since the name power for the WWF was basically in one match. There isn’t any need to seek this house show hand held.
