Written by: Bob Colling

World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date:
12/31/1994
From: Poughkeepsie, NY

Matches:
1.)The New Headshrinkers defeated Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart by disqualification to advance in the WWF World Tag Team Championship Tournament
2.)WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon defeated the Brooklyn Brawler
3.)Kwang defeated Buck Quartermaine
4.)Henry Godwinn defeated John Paul
5.)Aldo Montoya defeated Mike Bell

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Neidhart and Sionne start off the match with Sionne knocking Neidhart off his feet with a leaping shoulder block. Neidhart stops Fatu with a forearm shot to the chest and Owen comes off the top with a double axe handle. Fatu isn’t affected by having his head rammed into the turnbuckle and takes Owen down. Neidhart pulls the top rope down and clotheslines Fatu on the floor to help Owen. Fatu is being worked over in the corner while Sionne is distracting the referee. Fatu is dropped with a double clothesline. Owen continues to have control over Fatu with a spinning heel kick. Fatu stops Owen moments later with a backbreaker. Neidhart enters to choke Fatu and prevent a tag. Owen hits a missile dropkick off the top for a near fall. Fatu is able to tag in Sionne and he hammers away on Neidhart before hitting a snap powerslam and tosses Owen onto Neidhart. Neidhart runs into a big boot and Fatu tries to go to the top but his boots are bugging him. So, he takes them off and gets crotched on the top rope. Owen runs away and hits the Hart Attack on Fatu. Neidhart only gets a near fall. Owen comes off the top with Fatu’s boot to hit him over the back but the referee sees that and they are disqualified. (**1/2. An understandable decision here. I wouldn’t have Owen and Neidhart lose clean. You need to have a babyface/heel match in the next round and this had to happen. It was a solid match that the crowd was into as well.)

2. The Heartbreak Hotel is back this week after a week off. Shawn’s guest this week is the Undertaker. Paul Bearer says they like the dark after Taker turns Michael’s sign off. Taker talks about the souls of former superstars who have tried to take him out and how they are in his cementary. Taker says that IRS must be held accountable for his actions. At the Royal Rumble, IRS will be made to pay. He will make IRS pay the reaper. Taker says all his creatures will be present if IRS brings the druids with him.

3. A vignette promoting the debut of Kama is aired. Kama is a UFC fighter who rides a motorcycle.

Final Thoughts:
A good episode to close the year this week. The featured match was solid and the main promo by the Undertaker was fine. Plus, another new character is coming to the WWF. I like it!

Thanks for reading.
