Saturn elbows Godfather for a one count. Saturn tosses Godfather with a overhead suplex. Godfather clotheslines Saturn coming out of the corner followed by a backdrop. Godfather hits a leg drop. Steven Richards runs down with bag to censor the hoes. Godfather sees what is going on and has a stick. Godfather swings the stick and nails Saturn knocking him out on the floor. The referee disqualifies Godfather. (1/2*. The match was mostly just an angle advancement between Godfather and Steven Richards censoring him and his hoes. Saturn is an afterthought.)
2.) In the parking lot, Crash Holly is trying to put his scale in the trunk of his car. Just Joe walks by and says that he heard that Crash is a lucky guy. Joe says that Bull Buchanan thinks Crash has been a lucky guy. Joe says that Bull thought luck was involved to beat him at King of the Ring. Crash walks off saying he’s going to show Bull tonight in the ring.
3.) Snows takes Rios down to the mat and delivers a few right hands. Rios avoids Snow by hitting an arm drag and keeps wrist control. Snow takes Rios down to the mat and controls Rios with a headlock. Rios nearly pins Snow with a rollup and goes back to an arm drag. Rios kicks Snow and tries for a springboard arm drag, but Snow just yanks Rios down to the mat. Snow takes Rios over with a snap suplex and hits a series of snap suplexs. Snow drives Rios down with a back suplex for a two count. Rios fights off Snow from the apron, but Snow delivers several headbutts to send Rios to the floor. Snow takes Rios out with a springboard moonsault on the floor! Snow manages a two count back in the ring. Rios nails Snow with a spinning heel kick. Rios plants Snow with a bulldog and dropkicks Snow to the floor. Rios hits Snow with a somersault dive over the ring post to the floor! Rios tries for a hurricanrana, but Snow hits a powerbomb for a near fall. Rios almost wins with an inside cradle and is met with a clothesline. Snow scoop slams Rios and heads to the top rope. Snow misses a moonsault as Rios rollewd out of the way. Rios slams Snow to the mat and misses a moonsault of his own. Snow plants Rios with a DDT and locks in a dragon sleeper to win the match. (***. Heck yeah that was a lot of fun! These are the kinds of matches that are fun to stumble upon on Heat.)
4.) Backstage, Mideon enters Bradshaw’s office and wants to work for Bradshaw. Bradshaw declines Mideon’s offer. Mideon challenges Bradshaw to a match with his partner, but Bradshaw says Faarooq is out of town. Mideon tells Bradshaw that him and his partner are going to kick Bradshaw’s ass tonight.
5.) Crash hammers away on Bull in the corner and avoids a splash. Bull boots a charging Crash in the corner but is sent chest first into the turnbuckles. Bull plants Crash with a powerslam. Bull press slams Crash to the mat and continues to work over Crash with strikes. Bull stomps on Crash, but Crash comes back with a sunset flip and nearly wins the match. Bull drops Crash with a clothesline to regain control of the contest. Bull connects with a couple of backbreakers to drive Crash down to the mat. Bull misses a leg drop and Crash tries to knock Bull down with clotheslines but settles for a dropkick to the knee. Crash leaps off top to missile dropkick Bull for a near fall. Bull flapjacks Crash and hits a scissors kick for the win. (*1/2. A rather basic match, but an effective win for Bull who looked good in victory.)
6.) Backstage, Coach is with the Hardy Boys and Lita for an interview. Matt says they don’t have an issue with Too Cool because they are in the way of the tag titles. They do have an issue with T&A and they think they’re the top team in the WWF. Lita suggests Trish stick her nose in their business one more time. Jeff just asks Coach what is up before walking off.
7.) Bradshaw sends Mideon into the ring steps and shoulder blocks Gangrel in the ring. Bradshaw decks Gangrel and works over Mideon in the corner. Bradshaw is double teamed against the ropes, but Bradshaw fights them off. Mideon prevents a powerbomb by decking Bradshaw from behind. Gangrel plants Bradshaw with a DDT. Gangrel clotheslines Bradshaw from behind and they take Bradshaw over with a double snap suplex for a two count. Bradshaw tries to fight out of the corner, but is stopped by Mideon and Gangrel. Bradshaw boots Gangrel in the corner and backdrops Mideon over the top to the floor. Bradshaw clotheslines Gangrel in the corner and nails Mideon with the Clothesline From Hell to win the match. (1/2*. Bradshaw is a really good badass babyface and it was fun to see him beat up two guys.)
8.) Backstage, Coach is with Too Cool. Sexay says they have no issue with the Hardy Boys but they aren’t homies. Scotty 2 Hotty says they aren’t their peeps, either. Too Cool proceeds to dance in the locker room and Coach joins in on it as well.
9.) Sexay and Jeff start off the tag team main event. Sexay shoulder blocks Jeff and hits a frontward falling side Russian leg sweep. Sexay misses a splash in the corner and Jeff delivers a few stomps in the corner. Sexay gets yanked down by Jeff and Jeff soon hits a slingshot crossbody to the floor. Jeff rolls Sexay into the ring and tags in Matt. Hardy’s hit a somersault splash and fist drop on Sexay for a two count. Sexay kicks Matt in the corner and Hotty tags in to hit a somersault kick to the head for a near fall. Hotty tries for a back suplex, but Matt counters. Scotty tosses Matt with an overhead suplex and does a moonwalk. Matt slides to the floor and Jeff pulls Scotty off the apron allowing Matt to baseball slide Scotty into the guard railing. Matt goes for the cover but Scotty kicks out at two. Matt drops Scotty over the top rope and nearly wins the match. Matt puts Hotty on the top turnbuckle but gets shoved off. Scotty leaps off the middle rope to clothesline Matt. Sexay and Jeff get the hot tags with Sexay cleaning house on the Hardy’s. Sexay is sent into the ropes and hits a double DDT! Sexay nearly pins Matt. Sexay drops Jeff over the top rope and Scotty hits a bulldog. Hotty hits the Worm! Hardy drops Sexay from behind with a neckbreaker.
Here comes Trish Stratus to attack Lita on the floor and chokes her with her shirt. Matt tries to save Lita and is met with a boot to the face. Jeff slams Sexay while Scotty and Matt brawl with T&A. Jeff sees what’s going on outside the ring and Sexay rolls Jeff up for the win! After the match, Jeff goes to the floor and runs off Test and Albert. Both teams check on Lita to see if she’s okay. (**. The distraction finish is a bit of a bummer, but it’s still a huge victory for Too Cool. The issue between the Hardys and T&A is advanced and there seems to be some decent heat attached to that undercard tag feud at the moment, though the heat is mostly between Trish and Lita.)
Final Thoughts:
An enjoyable show this week as Snow/Rios was a really fun match and the main event advanced a feud and gave Too Cool a big win in the tag ranks.
Thanks for reading.
