At the hospital, Rick Michaels is getting an x-ray on his injured left knee. A doctor is checking the knee to see how bad the injury is due to Rock n Roll Express recent attack. The doctor says there isn’t any ligament or fractures. Michaels walks out of the hospital and says paybacks are hell. Michaels promises that Ricky Morton is his at Hardcore Hell.

Onyx chops Estrada against the ropes. Estrada backdrops Onyx over the top to the floor. Estrada dives over the ropes to take Onyx out on the floor. Estrada tries for a suplex, but Bailey trips Estrada and holds Estrada foot to allow Onyx to land on top and win the match. (*. I’m not a fan of the finish, but I guess it protects Estrada as Estrada seems to be someone who will be groomed to be a bigger face for the company. Onyx screams being a babyface to me and his entrance consisting of dancing confirmed that feeling.)

Outside, Jeff G. Bailey cuts a promo on keeping his promises of leaving people in blood. Bailey is referencing Silky Boom Boom and Frenchy Rivera being left bloodied. Bailey says there’s nobody in the Wildside locker room that can stop him. Bailey will control NCW and the man who will put him over the top is Ruckus. Ruckus enters the scene and Bailey says Ruckus cares only about money, which is what Bailey has a lot of. Ruckus says when you enter the ring with him prepare for death.

Second Contest: Spunk Meyer vs. TJ Gray: Spunk is from NWA Wildside and he’s honestly a goofy looking guy. Spunk works over Gray in the corner as the match started during the commercial. Strawberry comes out and distracts the referee. Gray hits a middle rope blockbuster, but the referee is still distracted. Gemini enters the ring and plants Gray with a powerslam. Strawberry attacks Spunk and delivers a stunner. Strawberry pins Gray? What the hell was that? Gray casually walks off. (DUD. This made literally zero sense to me. She won the NWA Worldwide TV Championship.)

Backstage, Romeo Bliss cuts a promo saying people think he’s not bad anymore. Bliss promises he’s still bad as he’s ever been. Bliss talks about pleasuring women and pouring milk on women to make them a complete breakfast. Bliss knows what pain and suffering is all about. Bliss knows what it means and proceeds to describe an experience with a woman that gets censored. Bliss says he will not be ignored.

Backstage Bill Behrens and the Rock n Roll Express cut a promo. Behrens says they are the first Wildside champions to mean anything. Behrens notes they are wanted back on April 1st, but they are busy. Morton says they stand for and live NWA. Morton says that NWA is what started wrestling as it is today. Trash returns a chair shot over the head a few times to Faku sending Faku to the floor. Faku hits Trash over the head with a stop sign. Faku drops Trash over the railing chest first. Trash hits Faku with the stop sign several times. Scottie Wrenn rolls into the ring and attacks Trash hitting a powerslam. Wrenn hits a springboard twisting leg drop. Wrenn powerbombs Trash in the middle of the ring. Wrenn powerbombs Trash a second time. JC Dazz is in the ring and plants Wrenn with a tornado DDT out of the corner. Dazz sends Wrenn to the floor and they brawl into the crowd to end the segment. (NR. I enjoyed the Dazz/Wrenn brawl.)

Main Event: NWA Wildside TV Champion AJ Styles vs. Eddie Golden: They trade wrist locks until Golden gets to the ropes to break the hold. They trade hammerlocks until Golden goes to the ropes a second time. They slap each other with Styles getting the better of the exchange. Golden controls Styles with a headlock for a moment. Golden bails to the floor to regroup and almost leaves the match. Golden forearms Styles, but Styles fights back with strikes. Styles dropkicks Golden in the corner, but Golden drops Styles over the top turnbuckle face first. Golden sits Styles on the top turnbuckle and tries for a superplex, but Styles shoves Golden off. Styles tries for a shooting star press, but lands on his feet and nails Golden with a clothesline. Styles goes for a cover managing a two count. Golden puts a sleeper on Styles, but doesn’t get a submission. Styles sunset flips Golden, but Golden blocks it and they trade a few rollup attempts. Golden clotheslines Styles to maintain control of the contest. Bailey chokes Styles over the middle rope as the referee was distracted. Golden splashes onto Styles over the middle rope. Finally, the locker room empties to make the save. Thunder and Stone Mountain clean house along with Jorge Estrada. Mountain hits a sit out powerbomb on Onyx. Martin rolls to the floor to be looked at. (*. The match isn’t much of anything, but the match is angle driven and it’s done rather well.)

Bill Behrens grabs a microphone and Bailey says this is not a game while calling Martin a piece of trash. Bailey is chased off by Martin’s girlfriend as the show goes to commercial.

Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey has an 8×10 of Steve Martin posing as a model. Bailey says that’s what Martin use to look like and now he’s ugly because he’s bald. Bailey thinks that Martin’s girlfriend won’t even look at him now. Bailey takes credit for taking Martin’s manhood. Bailey promises to take control. Bailey notes that Terry Knight is the US Champion and Ruckus is the Heavyweight Champion. Bailey knows that all the gold will be his. Bailey says the diamond in his ear is a gift from K-Krush who is making big money in the WWF. Bailey says that there’s nothing Martin can do because it’s over now.

Backstage, Steve Martin admits it has gotten out of hand. Martin says that anybody who had anything to do with how he looks will pay for it. Martin reveals that Abdullah the Butcher will wrestle Ruckus on March 18th. Martin says he’s embarrassed and walks off with Amy.

Final Thoughts:
Alright, this is a mixed bag for me. The wrestling aspect was a little lackluster with the finishes kind of bugging me. However, I enjoyed the major angle involving Martin getting his head shaved. The added context of Martin being a former model and being self conscience about his looks made the hair shaving that much better. Bailey’s group is quite strong at this point and I’m looking forward to how it progresses over time. The face side to combat them is pretty strong with Styles leading the charge along with Stone Mountain, Thunder and Jorge Estrada. The end game has to be a War Games match as it would only make sense. They are doing a good job at hyping Hardcore Hell on April 1st with the angle advancements.
