Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect shared pre-tape comments during Flair’s match. Perfect says that Savage’s career is coming to an end while Flair’s is just beginning. Flair notes that it is his destiny to reclaim the WWF World Championship and Savage can’t hide from him.
2.) WWF Update with Lord Alfred Hayes focuses on a video package tribute to WWF World Champion Randy Savage highlighting his career to this point.
3.) After their victory, the Beverly’s Brothers paint one of the jobbers faces and put LOD on their chest. They also put a wig on the worker before slapping him on the floor.
4.) It’s officially announced that SummerSlam will take place on August 31st in London, England at Wembley Stadium. The event has been rumored to be taking place in Washington, DC.
5.) Rick Martel shared pre-tape comments during his match regarding Tatanka. Martel continues to taunt Tatanka with his feathers. Martel promises that Tatanka will go the way of the buffalo and he will exterminate him.
6.) A video highlighting Papa Shango and his black magic to curse Ultimate Warrior is shown.
7.) Shawn Michaels shared pre-tape comments during Bret Hart’s match. Michaels can’t think of anything better than beating Hart for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Actually, looking at himself with the belt around his waist in the mirror would top it.
8.) A vignette promoting Razor Ramon is shown. Ramon is sitting at a table eating food. Ramon says some people in the WWF have been putting him down. Ramon thinks they are scared and afraid of him. Ramon stops the waiter from handing him the bill for his food. Ramon dismisses the waiter. Ramon clears the table and throws his toothpick at the camera.
Final Thoughts:
A decent show with a lot of focus on the top angles. SummerSlam officially having a location should lead to build for the event pretty soon.
