Opening Contest: Ricky Landell vs. Mikey Batts: Batts backs Landell against the ropes and backs off cleanly. Landell slaps Batts in the corner and Batts slaps back followed by an arm drag. Batts keeps arm control, but Landell reaches the ropes to break the hold. Batts dropkicks Landell and punches Landell over the middle rope several times causing Landell to fall to the floor. Batts hits a slingshot crossbody to the floor. Batts rolls Landell back into the ring, but Landell begs off in the corner. Landell eye pokes Batts and keeps headlock control. Batts strikes Landell in the midsection, but Landell delivers a shoulder block. Batts arm drags Landell a couple of times and keeps arm control on the mat. Landell catches Battes coming off the ropes and delivers a swinging backbreaker. Landell rams Batts into the corner face first and keeps control with chops. Batts responds with a flurry of strikes in the corner. Landell kicks Batts and hits a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Batts sunset flips Landell for a two count. Landell cuts off Batts with a clothesline for a two count. Landell keeps Batts on the mat with a chin lock, but doesn’t get a submission. Batts battles to his feet and elbows free, but Landell yanks Batts to the mat. Landell tries for a cover, but Batts kicks out at two. Landell sends Batts into the corner several times and locks in an abdominal stretch. Batts hip tosses Landell followed by a clothesline and a heel kick. Batts nails Landell with a kick and monkey flips Landell out of a spinebuster attempt for a two count. Batts hits a Code Red for the win. (**. Batts looked good in there with some solid offense and his fast pace offense connected with the crowd. This was a decent opener.)

Second Contest: Kurt Adonis vs. Ron Zombie: Adonis hits Zombie with a cooking sheet, but Zombie isn’t bothered by it. Zombie backdrops Adonis coming off the ropes and delivers a cooking sheet shot to the head. Zombie clotheslines Adonis over the top to the floor. Zombie rams Adonis face first onto the apron. They brawl on the floor where Zombie drives Adonis into the railing a few times. Adonis uses a fire extinguisher on Zombie to gain the advantage. Adonis heads to the top rope with a cooking sheet. Adonis whacks Zombie with the sheet and taunts the crowd. Adonis tries to use the trash can, but Zombie counters and hits Adonis over the head several times. Zombie wedges the trash can into the corner, but Adonis drop toe holds Zombie into the trash can. Adonis heads to the top rope with the cooking sheet. Zombie catches Adonis to hit a chokeslam. Zombie looks under the ring and eventually finds a table. Zombie leg drops Adonis and sets the table up in the corner. Adonis nails Zombie with a superkick. Adonis tries for a suplex into the table, but Zombie counters. Zombie hits a lifting DDT through the table in the corner to win the match. (*. A mindless brawl some weapon shots. The finish was good, at least.)

Third Contest: Romeo Roselli vs. Fred Curry Jr.: Roselli forearms Curry against the ropes several times. Roselli nails Curry with a forearm strike and an elbow drop. Roselli rams Curry into the corner, but Curry responds with strikes. Curry is dumped to the apron by Roselli. Curry hits a middle rope crossbody. Curry nails Roselli with a dropkick for a near fall. Roselli regroups in the corner. Roselli plants Curry with a swinging neckbreaker. Roselli chokes Curry on the mat for a moment. Roselli chokes Curry over the middle rope and Talia chokes Curry as the referee is distracted by Roselli. Roselli takes Curry over with a vertical suplex for a near fall. Roselli dropkicks Curry in the corner. Roselli misses a splash attempt in the corner and lands over the middle turnbuckle. Curry forearms Roselli and continues with a backdrop. Roselli yanks Curry to the mat and heads to the top hitting a blockbuster. Roselli hits a swinging slam for the clean win. (*1/2. A quick match and a good showing by Roselli. I could get behind Roselli getting a push in NEW.)

Fourth Contest: Jay Lethal vs. Josh Daniels: Daniels backs Lethal into the corner and slaps Lethal across the face. Lethal causes Daniels to bail to the floor. Daniels takes Lethal down to the mat, but Lethal gains control with a front face lock. Lethal keeps wrist control on Daniels. Daniels arm drags Lethal and keeps a top wrist lock. Lethal yanks on Daniels wrist to take Daniels down to the mat. Daniels hip tosses Lethal, but Lethal kicks Daniels away and delivers a dropkick to send Daniels to the floor. Lethal fakes out a dive to the floor. Daniels puts a headlock on Lethal to maintain control of the match. Daniels shoulder blocks Lethal. Lethal heel kicks Daniels after avoiding a leg sweep. Lethal covers for a two count. Lethal dropkicks Daniels on the back after a snapmare for a two count. Lethal drives Daniels down with a backbreaker for a near fall. Lethal rams Daniels into the corner face first. Lethal chops Daniels in the corner. Daniels dropkicks Lethal on the apron and delivers a chop to knock Lethal off the apron. Daniels sends Lethal into the railing and Lethal crashes into the crowd. Daniels elbows Lethal over the apron. Daniels stomps Lethal on the mat and delivers a knee drop. Daniels elbows Lethal coming off the ropes for a two count. Daniels chops Lethal and chokes Lethal over the bottom rope. Daniels rams Lethal into the corner and delivers chops. Daniels sends Lethal into the corner hard back first for a near fall. Daniels hits a snap suplex for a two count.

Daniels puts a head scissors on Lethal in the middle of the ring. Lethal pops out and chops Daniels leading to a standoff. Daniels responds with a chop and they trade several in the middle of the ring. Lethal jabs Daniels followed by more chops, but Daniels knocks Lethal to the mat. Daniels puts a sleeper on Lethal, but lets go of the hold. Daniels goes back to the a sleeper in the middle of the ring. Daniels clubs Lethal over the back, but Lethal hip tosses Daniels followed by a dropkick and both men are down. Daniels chops Lethal, but Lethal responds with a few chops of his own. Lethal clotheslines Daniels several times. Lethal elbows Daniels and hits a middle rope crossbody followed by a cutter for a near fall. Lethal slams Daniels and heads to the top rope. Lethal hitting a diving headbutt for a near fall. Daniels tries for a German suplex, but settles for a clothesline in the corner and hits a northern lights suplex. Daniels elbows Lethal and hits a German suplex for a near fall. Daniels sits Lethal on the top turnbuckle, but Lethal knocks Daniels off the ropes. Lethal misses a moonsault as Daniels rolled out of the way. Lethal uppercuts Daniels, but Daniels nails Lethal with a clothesline for a two count. Lethal nails Daniels with a kick. Lethal hits a dragon suplex for the win. (***. A good match with consistent action throughout. It’s the ideal kind of match to have on the undercard. Their styles meshed very well and I probably could have watched this for a few more minutes.) After the match, Xavier appears and attacks Lethal. Xavier drives Lethal to the mat with a DDT. Xavier grabs a microphone and tells Lethal that he will never forget what Lethal did to him last time they wrestled. Xavier blames Lethal for his shoulder injury. Xavier leaves Lethal laying on the mat.

Fifth Contest: The Outcast Killaz (Santiago & Tortuga) vs. The NOW (Collins & Vik): Killaz grab Tina, the female manager of the NOW. Tortuga tries for a press slam, but Vik spears Tortuga and there’s a brawl between the two teams. Collins holds Santiago to hit a side slam as Vik hit a middle rope leg drop. Collins hits a top rope elbow drop on Tortuga. Collins elbows Tortuga in the corner and tries for a tornado DDT, but Santiago hits a German suplex. Santiago drives Collins face first onto the mat a few times. Santiago chops Collins in the corner. Santiago jabs Collins a few times and snapmares Collins to the mat to deliver a chop to the back. Tortuga stomps Collins on the mat. Tortuga forearms Collins and delivers a running forearm and clotheslines Collins to the mat. Tortuga covers Collins for a near fall. Collins dropkicks Tortuga into the corner. Tortuga boot scrapes Collins in the corner several times. Tortuga misses a cannonball splash, but Santiago clotheslines Collins from the apron. Santiago legally enters the match and kicks Collins in the midsection. Santiago plants Collins with a back suplex for a two count. Santiago mounts Collins to deliver several strikes on the mat. Collins kicks Santiago, but can’t make the tag to Vik. Tortuga returns to the match and forearms Collins. Tortuga chops Collins against the ropes. Collins ducks a clothesline and plants Tortuga with a DDT.

Vik gets the hot tag and clotheslines Tortuga followed by a dropkick. Vik misses a spear in the corner and hits the post. Tortuga sends Vik into the railing and there’s a brawl on the floor. Santiago slams Collins on the floor. Santiago tags into the match and delivers an arm breaker after Tortuga kicks Vik. Santiago focuses his offense on Vik’s left shoulder. Santiago delivers a shoulder breaker for a near fall. Tortuga enters the match and stomps Vik followed by a leg drop. Tortuga keeps arm control on the mat. Tortuga drop toe holds Vik and delivers strikes to the back. Tortuga puts a surfboard on Vik and puts a head scissors on Vik until Collins makes the save. Santiago enters to put a front face lock on Vik. Santiago keeps an arm bar on Vik, but doesn’t get a submission. Vik fights back with a neckbreaker and both men are down. Collins is yanked off the apron by Big Daddy and Santiago keeps control on Vik. Santiago keeps an arm bar on Vik. Collins kicks Santiago on the mat. Vik elbows Santiago and hits a top rope moonsault off the top rope. Collins clotheslines Tortuga and does the same to Santiago. Collins delivers a fame-asser on Tortuga to deliver a two count. Vik leaps off the top to crossbody Santiago. Tortuga hits a backdrop driver on Vik. Collins superkicks Tortuga. Santiago hits an exploder suplex, but Vik leaps off the top to hit a swanton bomb. Tortuga boot scrapes Vik in the corner. Collins kicks Tortuga several times, but Tortuga holds Collins as Santiago delivers a kick and Tortuga hits a suplex for the win. (***. A good tag match once they got past the standard tag aspect. The chaos feel to the match made for a quick viewing experience and the clean win nature of the Killaz was a pleasant surprise. Both these teams are solid and probably a bit underrated.)

Sixth Contest: Chris Sabin vs. Christian Cage: They lockup until Cage backs Sabin into a corner and backs off after messing with Sabin’s hair. Sabin gets wrist control on Cage, but Cage counters quickly. Sabin counters with a wrist lock of his own. Cage takes Sabin down with a fireman’s carry. Cage puts a hammerlock on Sabin, but Sabin counters with a hammerlock. Cage takes Sabin down to the mat with a headlock. Sabin forearms Cage and is met with a shoulder block. Sabin puts a top wrist lock on Cage, but Cage manages to counter with an arm drag and controls Sabin with an arm bar. Sabin puts a headlock on Cage, but Cage elbows Sabin and delivers strikes in the corner. Sabin shoulder blocks Cage a couple of times and they have a standoff. Cage offers a handshake, but Sabin doesn’t accept it. Sabin kicks Cage in the midsection. Cage misses a running charge and goes through the ropes to the floor. Cage slaps Sabin across the face and taunts Sabin. Sabin strikes Cage and slaps Cage. Sabin drop toe holds Cage and messes up Cage’s hair. Sabin tries to ram Cage into the corner and does so twenty times. Cage bails to the floor to regroup and wants a timeout. Sabin chases after Cage, but is met with stomps on the mat. Cage chops Sabin in the corner followed by a right hand. Cage sends Sabin into the corner and monkey flips Sabin, but Sabin lands on his feet and taunts Cage. Sabin nails Cage with a dropkick for a two count. Cage eye rakes Sabin and drops Sabin gut first over the top rope. Cage knee lifts Sabin off the ropes to the floor. Cage kicks Sabin several times in the midsection. Sabin ducks a clothesline and hits a crossbody for a two count.

Cage kicks Sabin and delivers a knee lift for a two count. Sabin strikes Cage several times. Cage puts an abdominal stretch on Sabin in the middle of the ring. Sabin fights free, but Cage picks up Sabin and delivers a gut buster for a near fall. Cage takes some time to taunt the fans. Cage catches Sabin to deliver a slam and heads to the top rope. Cage taunts the crowd a bit and misses a diving headbutt attempt. Sabin and Cage trade right hands in the middle of the ring. Sabin forearms Cage a few times. Sabin atomic drops Cage a couple of times. Sabin pulls Cage down and rams Cage into the post groin first. Sabin climbs to the top rope and missile dropkicks Cage for a near fall. Cage catapults Sabin into the corner, but Sabin leaps off the middle rope to deliver a sloppy rollup for a two count. Sabin counters an Un-Prettier with a rollup for a two count. Sabin kicks Cage and tries for the Cradle Shock, but Cage reverses with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Sabin elbows Cage in the corner and spikes Cage with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Cage low blows Sabin and plants Sabin with the Un-Prettier to win the match. (**. Not a bad match, but certainly they could have done a lot better. There were a few sloppy moments with a few counter attempts throughout the match. This was a match I was most interested in since I don’t recall a singles match between them prior or since, really. Needless to say, it was a bit of a disappointment.)

Main Event: Abyss vs. TNA X-Division Champion AJ Styles: Abyss tosses Styles into the corner and they have a standoff. Abyss avoids a waist lock and sends Styles into the corner again, but doesn’t continue with the advantage. Styles kicks Abyss in the midsection and controls Abyss with a headlock. Styles grabs Abyss by the nose and hits a hurricanrana to send Abyss into the ropes. Abyss shoulder blocks Styles, but Styles delivers a dropkick to send Abyss reeling to the floor. Styles knocks Abyss off the apron to hit a slingshot crossbody to the floor. Styles plays to the crowd as Abyss grabs a chair, but Styles stomps Abyss several times. Abyss nails Styles with a big boot and grabs the chair in the corner. Abyss wedges the chair in the corner. Abyss punches Styles in the corner several times followed by body shots. Abyss chokes Styles for a moment. Styles punches Abyss a few times, but Abyss delivers a forearm to avoid a discus clothesline. Abyss tries for a powerbomb, but Styles counters with a rollup. Abyss manages to catapult Styles face first into a chair wedged in the corner. Abyss strikes Styles to the mat and taunts the fans for a moment. Abyss knee lifts Styles into the corner and signals for a press slam. Styles breaks free, but Abyss drops Styles to the mat gut first. Abyss grabs a steel chair and lays it onto Styles. Abyss runs the ropes, but is met with a low blow as Styles grabbed the chair. Styles strikes Abyss a few times against the ropes. Styles hits a tilt a whirl head scissors. Abyss dumps Styles to the apron, but Styles forearms Abyss. Styles leaps off the top to hit a leaping forearm for a near fall.

Styles signals for the Styles Clash, but settles for a rollup managing a two count. Styles splashes Abyss in the corner. Abyss plants Styles with a Black Hole Slam. Abyss covers, but Styles kicks out at two. Abyss kicks the referee and delivers the Shock Treatment. Abyss grabs the championship, but misses Styles. Styles nails Abyss with the Pele kick. Styles delivers a modified Styles Clash. A second referee comes out and Abyss kicks out at two. Abyss tries for a chokeslam, but Styles counters with a rollup and manages to pin Abyss. (*1/2. A house show main event, folks. It’s a basic bout and its exactly what you’d expect in this kind of environment.)

Final Thoughts:
An average show overall as the TNA featured matches didn’t deliver near the quality that I had hoped for. There were a couple of good undercard matches that were NEW focused, so it wasn’t a horrendous two hour viewing experience. There isn’t must-see, but it’s a forgettable show.
